(Early apologies if I posted this in the wrong section)
A few days ago my Nintendo Wii was stolen along with SSBB inside it, my silver GC controller from when I first got the GC, and one Wiimote+Nunchuck.
Here's how it went:
It's coming to the close of my school year, which means free class. My Band teacher allowed my to bring in my Wii so that we can all play SSBB. So I did. (This wasn't the first time I brought it to school) (The Wii was packed into a GC carrying case, btw)
I can't keep it in my backpack, because it's the end of the year, which means we have to carry books around to return them to the teachers (this and plus another thing told below) I went to my locker, and puposely stayed a tad after the bell to make sure no one was looking, then placed it in (my Homeroom teacher didn't mind if students were a bit late).
BUT! I did not put a lock. WAIT! Before you scold me... here's the side story.
In the beginning of the school year, the school gives locks out to let students borrow. My lock was a "chance" lock. I put in the same combination in time after time, and I even exaggerate the numbers by going a few over and under, and yet it just DOES NOT OPEN. It opens when it wants to. And when it DOES open, it always happens to be when the bell rings, giving me more lates than books. So... I gave up on the lock and left it in my bookbag.
Not only were the lock and my pile of books a problem, I had very few windows of opportunity to even GO to my locker. I get to go once in the morning (homeroom) and that's pretty much it. If I have EXTRA EXTRA time left, I can go just after lunch. After lunch is Geo-Sci then Band class (where I bring my Wii).
So... when Geo-Sci is just about over, I asked my friend (goes to band with me) if I should go get my Wii to bring to Band. He said that I shouldn't. He reminded me that I had the video project (which is our Final for the class) to finish for my TV & Video class (he also had this class with me). So I quickly went to my locker and dropped off some books that some teachers said to hold on to for a bit longer (and yes, my Wii was still there) and quickly rushed to TV & Vid with my friend.
~((No, none of my friends took it. And I know this to be a fact. They all tell me that I'm one of the nicest people they have ever met. I never curse, not even the minor ones. I have practically never been angry or yelled at someone. I have never been in a fight. I help people with their problems, whether it be homework or personal. That and I've known most of my buddies for quite some time now.))
Lalala... worked on project, then went to Honors Geometry, did our last quiz of the year, then end of class. So my teacher doesn't say to return the Geometry book, so I hurried on to my locker and then *POOF*!!! I stood with my mouth gaping at the lack of the Wii inside my locker. All was left was my Varsity Golf thing.
~(Don't have to read this part, skip to next paragraph)~(Earlier the day, we had the Sports Awards assembly. I patiently waited for Golf to come up, and when it did, I tried to listen for my name through all of the school's rude noise and talking and the fans turned on. Then someone called me from behind, and I looked, but did not see anyone. I returned and waited for my name. Then after a bit, all of my Golf buddies just left the stage. I though "What? They didn't call me?" My friend next to me asked me the same thing. So I just sat there, thinking that I'll just ask the coach what happened later and just tried to not mind about it. A few minutes later, I saw my coach walk up the the side and he asked me "Why didn't you go up?" I responed "I didn't hear my name." He explained "I did call your name! You must have not been listening or paying attention!" He handed me my Varsity Golf award and walked away. I just sat there for the rest of the assembly)
I had an internal shock. I franctically looked inside all the nearby classrooms and nearby lockers. I told practically all my friends. One of them told me "Wouldn't you be panicing if you were for real?" But I told him "But you know me..."
I quickly paced up and down throughout the hallways of the school, peeping inside classrooms (I didn't physically go into the doorway and peeped, I just took quick glances on my way) and looking at suspicious bags.
After some 10-15 minutes of going internally crazy, my school Dean (Kind of school Dean. You can think of him as our 2ndary Dean) passed by and I told him what happened. He went though that "What? Aww! Why did you do this and that" thing. He told me to go to the Main Office to go to the real Dean and report it to him. The Main Office told me to go to the Attendance Office to see the Dean.
The Dean wasn't at the Attendance Office. The Attendance lady told me that he isn't here and, out of curiosity I guess, she asked what for. I told her the same story I told the 2nd Dean, and she went through the same "What?" thing. Then another teacher entered the Office and she was told of the problem. Then the School Officer passed by and he was told of the problem. Then another friend of mine came into the Office and asked the lady for something and asked what I was doing here. I told him the story. He said to the lady and me something about the person that took the Wii would just go downtown and sell it for some drug money, because that's how people are around here. After a bit I walked around the halls a bit more and told a few more buddies to keep a lookout.
Back at the Office, the Attendance lady told me that she would make sure that I wasn't marked absent for my last period class, and I thanked her. After school, I told more of my buddies what happened and they gave me their sorrows (or sorries, however you want to call it). One of them gave me a deck of cards to partially recompensate for what happened.
Another group of friends came up to me and said that they heard the news, and they expressed their feelings too. One of them said that no one would steal from me if they knew it was my Wii. And just then, a teacher (one of the more popular ones in our school) walked by our small group and asked "Hey, uh, anyone of you want to buy a Wii- err..... *walks on*" My friends said that was "messed up", as they say today, but they didn't say it in a serious tone. They knew he was playing around.
So I went on around for my last efforts and bumped into my Honors English teacher. She said to me "Why didn't you come to my right away after school? You were supposed to recite that soliloquy from MacBeth." I told her what happened. She gave me her sorrows and said that I can come in the next day to recite it to her (I had the Finals with her the next day anyway...)
That's pretty much it to my story. I left just a tad out. I went down to TV & Video afterwards to finish up my project (I still have to finish it to this day, editing takes FOREVER). I told all my friends who added me on their Wii and SSBB list to message my Wii like crazy or to keep a lookout if they see "me" online. I don't know what to do now.
Thanks for reading and everything.
