Nadesico had a character that was similar to Rei..infact...it is very well known that Rei was a Blatant rip off of her.

Though the manga of EVA came out first, the person who made the series and the person who made eva were pretty close...long story short its kinda like digimon/pokemon situation...except Nadesico was not finished until after EVA was done.

I would draw something for you as my skills are decent and Id prob have the time, only problem is that I lack a way to draw well digitally and if I draw irl I dont have a scanner, so it would take a long time before im able to actually get it somewhere I can edit/color it to look nice.
