And imo just start with the mane 6 and add characters like Celestia/Luna/Derpy/Zecora later (assuming this is fan made) in order of the popularity in the fanbase and/or importance in the story line. Bring out characters along with balances and patches you know? Kinda like how LoL does it haha.
