...no. **** this ****. Why the hell would anyone like this show? Why do I have to see stupid pony avatars everywhere. Why do I have to see ****ty meme responses involving ponies on every forum. Why do I have to see ****ty Youtube videos like these

Every single video is a stolen song with a pony bopping it's head on it. They recieve hundreds of views and thumbs up.

How come every time iI say I dislike the show, people are quick to call me a "closet brony" and "in denial"? I watched five ****ing episodes and hated every single one. Not everyone is a "brony", why can't they understand this?

This is the internet. Not the ****ing ponynet.

There are many reasons to like the show that have been covered in detail in many places so I won't rehash over those again unless anyone specifically wants me to.

If anyone tells you you are in denial they are wrong, you are completely right if you were to say you have seen they show, and do not like it. That's completely fine, and your hatred towards all things pony is completely fine to, but as personal opinion I wouldn't go up in arms every time you see something MLP related because season 2 just started and you'll be seeing hella more of it unfortunately for you. I don't like to generalise, a lot of bronies I've met respect people who don't enjoy the show, but if the people you have met all call you a closet brony that sucks.

Specifically, you'll see MLP videos everywhere because they are popular. I do not like the music personally, but music taste is like the most subjective thing in the world lol, people can like what they want. No music is 'right' or 'wrong'.

You'll see MLP avatars everywhere because Fluttershy is goddamn amazing.

Actually fans have praised everything about the show from the characters to the animation, music and voice acting. Its different to most girls shows in that it was actually spearheaded by lauren faust who did artwork and scripting and generally a lot of work on the powerpuff girls.
Lauren is an avid feminist. she keeps things from getting too sickly, pink and girly, But really when it comes down to it some people still find it way too girly to watch.
Personally i find it watches like a 90's cartoon.
Honestly most bronies are just drawn in by the hype of the show. They see the intended demographic and the brony phenomenon and they get curious, watch the show, notice these aspects and are surprised by the quality of the show. That draws them in and if they like it then they keep watching it.
It just so happens that theres a brony hq on the internet called equestria daily where people post **** like fanfiction and fanvideos and stuff, and a certain amount of it gets featured. Because of the amount of attention these videos get from the community more are made. as a result you just get endless pony videos.
For a lot of people if you like something then your natural inclination is to share it so other people can enjoy it. Its why people share youtube videos of funny **** or whatever. As for hating the show, thats fine. The bronies youve met are either trolling you or idiots.

Girls can be bronies too, mainly because combining sister and pony makes sissy which kind of gives the wrong image lol.

Watched a few episodes after hearing a couple of my best friends at school rave about it every lunchtime.
I... guess I can see the appeal but it's not really in my interests.
I watched like 5 episodes, I've filled my obligation.

The reason I enjoy watching my little pony is because it's a legitimately good cartoon for this day and age. Sure it doesn't compare to things like Ren & Stimpy or Rocco's Modern Life but it's still a fantastic cartoon.

Don't listen to the hype, watch it for yourself and form your own opinion.

For reference I think the best representative episode of the show would be Bridle Gossip. Underlying message, modern humour and basically all-around entertaining. Oh, and Flutterguy.

but it doesn't deserve the insane fans it gets. it's no different from adventure time, no-one called themselves "algebraics" and stuff

maybe it's the ease of making a stupid recolour (the same reason sonic so popular)

Being a brony is pretty much anyone who watches and likes the show, so you're pretty much a brony already lol.

There is a good chance that as you watch you will get attached to a particular character and have said character as an avatar for a period of time, unless you continue to have the mind-set that you don't want to get that into it.

I've never made an AMV if that helps, but that's probably because I would suck at it.

Brony is just a theory. You can choose to be considered brony or not. Especially having the choice to change your avi.

The reason why I changed mines is because I get tired of having them related to brawl and other games.

That's OK, to be honest I was glad to since you're the first person I know who actually watched multiple episodes of the show before judging it, instead of doing so just based off the name.
