They'll probably take a little break before jumping into s2 so we're probably not getting too many more characters this year. But we've had a really good amount already.

According to the game itself Season 1 will end in mid-November.

Pretty much. That's what I'm expecting to happen. I also believe that each season will have exactly five new characters, one of each class.

I really doubt we'll get him this year. According to datamine this is what season 2 will most likely be (assuming we get 5 characters like season 1)

Marvin recently got some datamines as Iron Giant's Rival in Arcade so would it imply him getting in early or is he a first CPU boss for now?

At this point my guess is that Marvin and aracade mode will release day 1 with season 2 or very early on, but who knows.

The current event needs some more ways to earn candy besides just grinding matches.

It doesn't help that not only are there more skins you have to pay money for than there are ones you can earn for candy, but it's done so that if you want to boost your candy earnings even a little, you gotta buy one of the skins.

Like I get a free game needs to earn money and stuff like this is pretty commonplace in freemium games, but the fact there's no way to farm gleamium still just makes stuff like this more frustrating that fun.

Also thank god, Stripe nerfs! Playing against him has been a real pain in the ass, playing against two of him is borderline impossible.

well that's one more series with a stage. although hesitate to call it a looney tunes stage. it's kinda like if the first mario stage you got wasn't from the main series

I've probably said this before, but if this stage's basketball mini-game ends up being fun, they should make a whole mode of it. This game could use some more modes besides just regular matches, and there's other potential stages they could bring in for it.
Space Jam 1's court is the obvious pick, Marceline's cave from Adventure Time has a basketball court in the episode Simon and Marcie, or something made up like a Superman themed court in the Fortress of Solitude or something like that.

Well disappointingly, the Basketball aspect only really amounts to some random powerups and a respawning throwable item. You can put the ball in the basket for a little explosion effect that damages opponents if they're near it but otherwise it doesn't tally any score for doing so. So it's mostly just a gimmick stage.
That's a bummer.

Hopefully it won't be added to regular matchmaking. Trophy's Edge 2 and Haunted Mansion are already pushing it in terms of weirdly designed stages for me. I'm hoping that when ranked comes out they'll be pulled from stage rotation.

That or they could add a "preferred stage select" feature so that we can choose which stages we want in our online matches. That way people who want weirder stages in online matches can have them while thay can be less likely for players that only select more balanced stages.

I heard the leaked voice clips of Brain Gremlin, it's a pretty decent Tony Randall impression. Also, he makes quips and references to fighting games (one of his lines is him mocking his opponent for not knowing how to wavedash) so he'll be pretty funny and meta. I don't usually go for overpriced skins, but Brain Gremlin might win me over.

The Twitter comments have been pretty negative over black adam's announcement not being announced early on when warner brothers' UK account posted that he'd be coming out in 2 days.

i don't wish to compare this to what happened to Nick All-Star Brawl & Kart Racers 3 from Nickelodeon but sometimes it's hard to get away from posts such as these.
