Searching for my own way of the ninja.
Ever wanted to pit Mario and Marvin the Martian against Fat Albert and Popeye?

Well, now, you can.
Thanks to the work of some amazing dude, a version of Mugen called 'Battle Zero' is out.

Here's some details about it from the creator:

Mugen All Characters Battle Zero

This is my very first mugen creation, created from almost four monthsof study and difficult trial and error. This was my biggest creationyet, weighing in at almost 150+ characters and 100+ stages, all withfull soundtrack. I've decided to share my very first masterpiece withthe Underground Gamer Mugen Fans.

Over 100 Stages
From my very first study with mugen, i've selected only the best places to fight!
Full 100 Song Soundtrack
From countless albums and OST's, proven to keep your battles intense!
Over 150+ characters!
From almost every fighting game ever made, this selection is sure tokeep any mugen fan happy. Contains many rare and exclusive charactersimpossible to find!
Rare Characters!
More than half of the characters in the game cannot be downloadedanymore off of the internet! Perfect for any avid mugen collector, youwill find many rare fighters in this game!
Easy Setup!
Drag the mugen folder anywhere onto the desktop, click into the folder, and double click the Mugen All Characters Battle Zero.exe, it's simple! Everything is already preset so you can jump right into the acton!

*Warning, this file is over 1 Gig, but I put half a year of work intoit, so I assure you with all my heart. It's worth it.*
--

If you look on YouTube, you can find footage of it, it looks very impressive.

The problem is, I'm having trouble downloading it.
it's a huge file, there are torrents up, but none of the torrent sites seem to let me download the actual torrent--it just sort of...sits there...

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this.
Here's a link to some footage--it's a little slow and choppy, but you can get the idea.

And here's a link to a torrent file, though I'm sure you could find the torrent elsewhere.

If anyone can get their hands on the torrent file, could you please get in contact with me so I can get it from you so I can torrent it myself?

YOUR MUGEN thread

I'm going to skip the part about explaining that MUGEN is a fighting game engine you can download on sites like RandomSelect and start with the talking about MUGEN.

For those who already have it, what do you generally have in your MUGEN? I'm not asking of you to say something specific, just a global. What theme does the content have? What screenpack do you use? Do you make anything for MUGEN?

I myself have created several things. Let me list some (or actually, just all). These are all stages:

All can be found on my MUGEN site.

Also, I've made some videos, some showing the progress I've made with a character of mine.

Bas the Teddybear: Pre-Alpha Release Demo

Anyway, what about you?

I'd download Mugen but man my computer would run slower than molasses for some reason. I think I'll just stick to seeing youtube videos of Shin Akuma, Gouken, Ogre Akuma, Orochi Akuma, Evil Ryu, Tetsu, Evil Ken, Holy Angel Ken, and Evil Dan. I lovvvvve the Shotokan revamps!

Original Mugen Games List- please read.

I started this thread in the hopes of finding mugen games that someone actually took time and worked on w/ original grphx, sounds, and systems. Please feel free to add to this if you feel the urge.

Here are a few I was directed to the first time I asked..

The Chosen One (Card Sagas Wars)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6KCSmyWdbY&feature=related
Characters List-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iU7UKZ7IfJM&feature=related

Hajime no Ippo MUGEN- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyfBsCeUXFA&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOK71lb8xQc

beautiful graphics. A rare sf styled 2d boxing game.
on an off note, heres an amazing hni gba game- http://www.youtube.com /watch?v=G5NF9dQQzPo&NR=1

Some well done rips....

EVA mugen- ok, so basically another rip game it seems, but hey, it's not another fake vs. title.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WymrVkCLhn8
this may be omitted from the final list of games.

SSBB MUGEN- not so original, more of a rip, but a rip game someone actually worked well enough on to make it work like the original. With some polish we could have a real gem on our hands here.

still, unpolished, may be omitted from final list.

other rip, but a good one- mugen earthbound fighter- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGPBKTFk-vU

For the sake of Mugen, I merged all three threads which rarely got replies to begin with.

I've always wondered this...

Is it pronounced "Moo-gen" or "Mew-jen"?

Dude, aside from broken Gogeta, is Rare Akuma the best Mugen character? I've seen it beat the last LAST form of Broly.

The Western side of Pop Star.
It's certainly a nice concept, but I was never really big on adding my own characters, stages and music.

But there is the possibility of realizing any dream match-ups (e.g. Mario vs. Master Chief, Ivy vs. Mai Shiranui, Darth Vader vs. Link, etc).

Personally, I prefer full games done with the Mugen engine.

How 'bout adding SSBS? Super Smash Bros. Showdown, it's a very good melee clone of SSB
