I do wonder if Final Smashes can have their effects customized as well. That might resolve the issue to some extent.

Of course, something like a black hole could've been more interesting, where opponents who are close to it would get sucked in, and then get pummeled by Power Stars. And to finish up, Rosalina unleashes a Grand Star that's almost certain to score KOs on the lightweight fighters.

I posted something like this once. I thought Rosalina's Final Smash could have been based off of Super Mario Galaxy's ending:
She summons a small Black Hole above her; Lumas start going into the Black Hole, making it bigger, and the Lumas going into the Black Hole act as damaging obstacles; opponents get pulled in; anyone caught in it takes damage, like the Flower damage the Lipstick item does but at a very fast rate; and then the Black Hole explodes, sending everyone flying or anyone around the explosion.

Are you all happy with Rosalina's Final Smash?

I like it, but I think it has more potential.

But I like it :p
Kind of dull as far as Final Smashes go, in my opinion. Not too fussed though.

I recently got a well-timed screenshot that I just have to show...

Edit: Another nice screenshot for the road...

Some other Mario Kart 8 pictures

By the way, are there tournaments that are character specific? I'd like to know if there are Rosalina Tournaments, or Metal Tournaments.

Nothing's stopping you from making a tournament and giving the code to other players who you make sure play as Rosalina. I would totally want to be a part of that...

Same here, but the problem is that your tournaments will always fall on deaf ears if you hardly have any YouTube subscribers, or are not affiliated with any major gaming groups, such as GameSpot.

I know, but places like MarioKartWii.com try to enforce character specific tournaments, if there are any. Here's an example of a really small one:
That video was made using a small number of volunteers in a friend lobby, I believe. I think I saw the creator mention it in the comments. They only had three Peach's, I think.

But as for a Rosalina tournament, I'd take part in it if there was one.

So I'm looking at MK8 Bio's and here's Baby Rosalina's and Rosalina's bio:

Baby Rosalina
"Protectors of the stars gotta start small..."

Rosalina
"This cosmic guardian is definitely made of star stuff, and isn’t afraid to cut loose on the track. Being a heavyweight, she can toss aside a surprising number of rival racers in pursuit of victory!"

...but the shortest bio was Waluigi's, and when I saw it I laughed. You won't believe what it says:
"It’s always Waluigi time."

Regarding those Rosalina bios though, I guess Baby Rosalina is literally Rosalina as a baby, contrary to some headcanons, and Rosalina's bio confirms my headcanon that Rosalina really does enjoy racing a lot, and unwinds through it (hence her more joyous nature in Mario Kart).

Yeah, and in one of her bios for MKW, it said this:

Website
"Making her debut on the track, Rosalina shows her experience of space travel translates well to rocketing round the race course. With a friendly Luma by her side, Rosalina is right at home on the track!"

Guidebook
"Watching over and protecting the cosmos sure gets tiring! But with Mario's help, Rosalina can spend some time with her new hobby: riding only the biggest, baddest bikes!"

Oh good, I thought Nintendo ditched the whole cosmic guardian thing with her in favor of making her "The Third Princess" or something.

Also, Waluigi has such little development and background, all they had to work with for him on a bio was a meme starting from a quote of his. :p

I like the subtle reference to what Rosalina said when you met her in SMG.

"My name is Rosalina. I watch over and protect the cosmos."

I like Rosalina's MK7 bios:

"While gentle and sweet, Rosalina has a tall and commanding presence behind the wheel.
"Tougher than she looks, Rosalina can take hard knocks and makes up for what she lacks in acceleration with great top speed."
Guide: "Rosalina may not look it, but she has the same characteristics as Donkey Kong! Of course, one would expect the protector of the cosmos could hold her own. Rosalina is another great option for players who want to put a little more muscle into their jostling."

I find it very odd how one of the bios classifies Rosalina as being a heavyweight. Waluigi himself was a middleweight in Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Mario Kart DS, despite of his tall size. As for Mario Kart Wii, characters were categorized by size, which not only meant height, but also how big the character is in general.

But really, Rosalina and Waluigi really shouldn't be in the same weight league as the true heavyweights, as despite of their tall frames, they're too light to even be considered heavy. This can partly explain Mario Kart 7's Cruiser weight class, though it was flawed in that Donkey Kong was in that weight category; Rosalina and Wiggler were correct though.

Have you ever it was possible that when Rosalina was reading the events of Galaxy 2 to the Lumas, that it could have been far into the future and Mario has basically become a hero of legend?

Do you think Rosalina's Down B move will be severely punishable?

When looking at the attack in action:

Would an opening to this attack present itself, while Rosalina is in the middle of her animation or would Luma protect her during this?

You know what's really funny? Waluigi is classified as a lightweight in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, making him the only character in the Mario Kart series to have been a member of one of each weight class at least once.

They should just give him is own weight class at this point.

The Wah Class.

I think Rosalina should be in the heavier side though. A near 8 foot tall woman with hips like that is gonna have some weight, inevitably.

If I were able to, I would've altered Mario Kart 8's weight class system to be a bit more diverse.

Yes Rosalina and Waluigi are tall, but they shouldn't be in the same weight league as Donkey Kong and Roy Koopa.

Even though Rosalina and Waluigi are in the heavy category, their placement seems okay so far. Rosalina would probably be heavier than Waluigi since she doesn't seem to be so skinny. Also, vehicle size doesn't dictate what weight class your character is in. For example, Pink Gold Peach & Metal Mario are in a medium sized vehicle, but it doesn't mean they are in the medium weight class. So for Waluigi & Rosalina, this kind of thing can apply (all characters too). Waluigi could be medium, but he's better in the cruiser class, just like Rosalina.

Wow....I knew Wario was fat, but he is heavier than characters made out of Pure Metal!

Rosalina could pass for being as heavy as Donkey Kong though, if you take her powers into account. In Smash, it's explained that her power over gravity makes her floaty. She could easily do the opposite though, and just increase her the pull of gravity her body has to the planet, thus, making her heavier.

But even without that, her ridiculously tall form and bigger assets compared to the other females makes it believable enough for me.

Wario is so heavy because he has fat AND muscle.

The perfect man - his body is strong and versatile despite his eating habits.

I can't remember if I posted this here, but I'll do it anyways.

Does anyone think Rosalina could have this kind of personality/behavior? I kinda like it. :)

Actually, he's not, as Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach have the "exact same" weight as Bowser, Wario, and Morton. The only difference is that Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach have less speed and more handling.

Still, I just find it very weird seeing Rosalina be classified under Donkey Kong's weight level.

Yeah, I just was jesting about Wario's weight. It would have been funnier if twas true.

I don't really agree with some of those personalities. In fact, whenever Rosalina kisses someone, I would think that the person who she's kissing would feel more relaxed.

Sure we can't see Meta Knight's face, but you have to admit that even he has to have a soft spot for a beautiful young female.
