I don't see the similarities, nor why she has to be shackled to Peach, since she's clearly a much more compelling character who can easily have her own presence in the series, current incarnations taken into account. However, I don't mean to turn this into a discussion about trashing Peach, but I think it's more likely fans of Peach will find connections more easily than people who are alot more neutral about her.Design wise , as of today , Rosalina looks more like Peach than Daisy .
And that's my point they based her appearence in Peach's design , as always , she is the base. Nobody escapes this fate , not even Rosalina.
Exactly. Rosalina has already a ''presence'' anyway.I don't see the similarities, nor why she has to be shackled to Peach, since she's clearly a much more compelling character who can easily have her own presence in the series, current incarnations taken into account. Best friends would be More accurate , they surely have things in common , but i bet they also enjoy different activities between each other. If anyone was going to be peaches sister, I thought it was going to be Daisy
Even if Rosalina were Peaches sister, that wouldn't seem right :/ it seems offBest friends would be More accurate , they surely have things in common , but i bet they also enjoy different activities between each other.
If Rosalina was Peach's sister then, Rosalina would not have a prominent role , personality and she would be overshadowed by her clearly more prominent ''sister'' nor she would have powers or her unique backstory... so nope , better staying like they are haha.Best friends sounds about right

They are just too different
I was too ... until her fanbase invaded every corner of the internet ; Making fun of Peach and Daisy , especially Daisy ... yeah , not amused.Honestly if they decided to just make Daisy related to Peach in some way, she'd probably get more screentime.
However, since I'm not really much of a fan of either of the other Princesses, I'm glad Rosie is getting the attention and distinction she is.
I thought Peach and Daisy were supposedly cousins.Best friends would be More accurate , they surely have things in common , but i bet they also enjoy different activities between each other.
Almost like when people tend to classify Rosalina as a princess. Of course, it's always possible that Rosalina was in deed a princess, and her parents were the king and queen of a kingdom that used to exist. While this may only be speculation, it would at least explain why Rosalina wears a silver crown on her head.I'm pretty sure Prima sometimes puts in it's own little tidbits sometimes. Peach and Daisy seem to be unrelated to me.
I always saw Rosalina as a "used to be" princess. You can make this connection in her storybook by looking in the background.Almost like when people tend to classify Rosalina as a princess. Of course, what we do know is that Rosalina is like a queen at the Comet Observatory, as she always makes sure that all the Lumas who are living with her are kept healthy and strong.
Don't get me wrong. Rosalina may be the ruler of the Comet Observatory, but she operates way more like a mother than an actual queen. As a result, no real monarchy exists.I don't view Rosalina as royalty. In fact, I believe she came from a humble family (the activities she's described as partaking in with her family match up with this, as well as the fact that her home planet seems to have nothing but her house and garden on it), and while I believe the Lumas might affectionately refer to her as "princess" sometimes, I don't think she's literally royalty to them, as they probably don't comprehend the concept. Rosalina is just a mother to them, and a good mother does not make their children feel like they are under a hierarchical rule.
Of course, she's basically a goddess too, but I don't view that as a monarch-like thing with her, more that she is responsible for keeping the universe in check.
No homo but this interesting lolI found this cute picture on KYM and Cat Rosalina looks so cute!!
InterestingNintendo declares August the Month of Princess Peach.

Well Rosalina did hijack the last half of the year of Luigi so that's something. (gotta wait for year of Peach now)Nintendo declares August the Month of Princess Peach.

Like i said before, i think is gonna be tricky to master , but i'd fun nontheless and probably Rosalina will end being top tier , those are my expectations <3 She may be the Viola (Soul Calibur V) of Smash Bros. How do you all feel about the Puppet action between Luma and Rosalina?
Most people I ask say they think it won't end up working and it will be to complicated ( being able to drag Luma away and back )
I think it's very unique, and I won't really judge how it will work until I actually try her out.
Olimar had a very large learning curve in Brawl, so it's quite likely that Rosalina's learning curve will also take a good deal of time to utilize to the fullest. How do you all feel about the Puppet action between Luma and Rosalina?

The link says error, us there something wrong with the thread? So this intriguing video came up today:
Not specifically about Rosalina or anything (her early design that more resembles Peach is briefly shown, though). But it's about her big debut game, so I thought people would be interested.
I was aware of some of this stuff but not all of it.
Two thoughts have occured to me after watching this, though:
1) Star Fortress looks amazing. If they make Galaxy 3, they need to fully realise that level.
2) It's mentioned that Yoshi was originally supposed to be in Galaxy 1, just like how he appears in Galaxy 2. It's also mentioned that Starship Mario was meant to be the main hub in Galaxy 1. And there are also the "Cosmic Toads" in that Beta level, that were supposed to be Toads that come from space instead of the Mushroom Kingdom, and they have star patterns on their heads instead of polka dots, but they may have been replaced by Lumas (Lumas serve the exact same purpose Cosmic Toads were going to serve - the alien race from space, not residents of the Mushroom Kingdom, etc, the only difference being that they are Toads and seemingly had no connection to Rosalina).
With all of that in mind, I think it's really possible that Galaxy 2 may be intended to be more in line with Miyamoto's original vision for Galaxy 1. We know Miyamoto refused to let many story elements into Galaxy 2, and that he was also against the story elements in Galaxy 1, and that he opposed the creation of Rosalina (at least, he opposed making her a big part of the game), but he had to give way for what other people working on the game wanted. Since they had so many gameplay ideas leftover after the first game finished, I think it's possible that Miyamoto was allowed to have his vision of the game, with hardly any story elements and having Yoshi and Starship Mario get to come into the game in full force, when making Galaxy 2.
While Rosalina appears in Galaxy 2 and brings some very light story elements with her, I think that was really just fan service, since Miyamoto recognised that people (including his colleagues) must love the character after Galaxy 1, so he threw us a bone and just let her show up at specific moments in the game, while not interrupting with his "pure gameplay, no story" vision for the game.
EDIT: So there is this Elimination Voting thing for voting for your favourite Nintendo characters. I have a topic that explains it and has a link to it, but if you believe Rosalina is your favourite Nintendo character, make your vote count in the quiz! She's doing surprisingly well (25th out of the Top 50, last I checked), so be sure to support her! Voting ends on August 14th!

In Galaxy 1 Rosalina has more screen time. Why is it that Miyamoto's weirdness always has to get in the way of something? I mean, not to say that Galaxy 2 wasn't amazing, but Galaxy 1 felt more...complete.
Yeah, sorry, the thread was merged with another since I made that link. Here's the new one:The link says error, us there something wrong with the thread?
While I respect Miyamoto for his legacy, I think he's become a bit senile as far as game developers go. He's a charming person, but if everyone had his ideals for game design, the industry would be severely behind. Why is it that Miyamoto's weirdness always has to get in the way of something? I imagine Rosalina is Arin in this video:Okay, although Rosalina herself doesn't look scary or intimidating (besides her powers), this camera angle makes Rosalina look very creepy...
...and for some reason it reminds me of Ashley.
Done , i think it was fun but the descision was hard at the end hahaYeah, sorry, the thread was merged with another since I made that link. Here's the new one:

IMO Galaxy 2 was a lot better in the gameplay/level design department and has a more "Mario" feel to it, but Galaxy 1 just has such an amazing and unique atmosphere, and all of those story elements brought by Rosalina and the Lumas, so I can forgive it for it's at times, lackluster level design and mechanics. And I think Galaxy 1 had the better soundtrack overall (though there are some stand out pieces in Galaxy 2 as well, so it's nothing to scoff at either).
I imagine Rosalina is Arin in this video:
"WHY AREN'T YOU LOOKING AT ME???!!!!"
OK, that does look pretty creepy...Okay, although Rosalina herself doesn't look scary or intimidating (besides her powers), this camera angle makes Rosalina look very creepy...

It is pretty odd how people will interpret those dilemmas. Obviously, it can make you wonder what Rosalina and her adversary are thinking. The following screenshots are just some examples to keep in mind...Okay, although Rosalina herself doesn't look scary or intimidating (besides her powers), this camera angle makes Rosalina look very creepy...

It could be a lot better. Are you all happy with Rosalina's Final Smash?
I like it, but I think it has more potential.
But I like it
i think it could /can be a LOT better , but since the Super Star actually explodes at the end (instant K.O. i believe) it's fine , technical. As i said before , she could be the Viola (SCV) of Smash since Viola's Critical Edge is similar , it's technical and what matters it's the placement of the object , in Rosalina's case the super star. Are you all happy with Rosalina's Final Smash?
