I've said it before, but Rosalina just needs to learn to smile more often.

Everyone doesn't act the same in 3D World. Peach is ditzy and girly and acts surprised at the idea of doing well, while Rosalina is cool and confident in herself, showing a competitive side, while still maintaining a reserved gentle and tender vibe.

The problem with the Mario fan base is that you guys don't grasp the concept of Rosalina's (or any character for that matter) character being added to, which is what they have been doing with her in spin offs. They haven't retconned anything about her. Just added to it. She can have a dark past, and a motherly nature, while still having a cocky competitive side. It gives her more depth. They don't cancel out each other.

It's known that Koizumi is strict on Rosalina being included in games and cares about how she is portrayed. If she was just another Peach, she wouldn't still be showing up. That isn't what made her popular, and isn't what's maintaining her popularity or appearances.

No point in me saying this though since you want her to be like Peach anyway and brush off anything that counters that idea (Lumas in Mario Golf were not irrelevant).

They don't reboot Rosalina each game, each appearance adds to her character and fleshes it out. Same with other characters.

Well the humour in GT videos is bad anyway so the show has nothing going for it.

I didn't post my debunk around too much because it's impossible to get everyone to see but everyone who has seen it agrees with me.

That is personal opinions, so I won't agree nor complain about that.

Yeah, otherwise people might think that you take this debunk too seriously, which isn't good.

Actually Rosalina's character has taken a different turn from Super Mario Galaxy.

This is because Mario characters are so simplistic that their voices are one of their biggest feature that gives them Consistency in portrayal.

Cheerful? Mario
Scary and sometimes heroic? Luigi
Loud and Obnoxious but always energetic? Daisy
Gentle , soft spoken and Girly? Peach.
Tough and very greedy? Wario
Nonsensical tough sounds? Bowser
Nonsensical cute sounds ? Yoshi
Nasal and funny? Waluigi

Now Rosalina , where do i put you?

Mature and Motherly? Not anymore.
Cheerful and laid back? Not anymore.

or maybe Gentle ... Soft Spoken and girly? like Peach? Yes.

That's the direction they are going with Rosalina considering that Games that give her a different angle , a more important one , passed already.

MK games? zero depth. 3D World? Everybody acts the same? MP? Everybody acts the same. Mario Golf? Lumas making cameos aren't relevant.

Now i truly don't care about it , mainly because i like Peach. And Rosalina behaving , sounding , or being Blue Peach isn't bothering me since it's irrelevant.

It's not like she sounds identical to her , it's more like the vibe it gives only screams ''Peachy'' , and nothing more beyond that.

Rosalina from back then isn't Rosalina from nowadays.

Rosalina from back then was a cool NPC , that stayed true to herself and was relevant to the game.

Rosalina from nowaways is just the alternative to Peach or Daisy as a newcomer in a spin off.

Tired of Peach and Daisy? Go and play Rosalina. That's basically the main purpose.

They certainly didn't stick to her old portrayal , but ironically All of Rosalina's models have a very wise and composed facial expression , which doesn't match with the ''Whohooo!!!'' that always comes now.

That's actually the thing that bothers me , for example in MP10. Rosalina barely smiles , yet a super Girly sound plays.

Doesn't make sense .

Um…um… to me, Rosalina is still Rosalina that I used to know…

i don't want Rosalina to be like Peach , even though she is clearly becoming a wannabe sometimes.

My point is that , i came to understand why it doesn't really surprise me or annoy me that much ; It's because i like characters that are very soft spoken and very graceful. Princess Peach , besides being taken by Bowser , has Always been like that since day 1. That's why i like her so much , and that's why i don't care too much for Daisy since she is too extra for my taste.

Before Rosalina got her ''soft and femenine'' voice , Peach already did that , and before Rosalina even existed Peach , as the Princess she is , already had qualities of a true Lady ; again she is a Princess above all.

The quality that Peach didn't have , is what Rosalina had , Standing up as a Leader figure. Nowadays , i don't see it anymore , it's just not in there.

Since Peach was already too soft and Daisy too loud , what would be Different? A mature figure, what Rosalina represented. And Now that she behaves Pretty much like any other character already did , what's the point of her character again?

I'll answer: Female representation. Rosalina is being added only because there's nobody else that matters and that's female , and the popularity factor contributes to that.

Then again it's still sad , since nobody says anymore ''They'll add Rosalina because she is a great character''.

Rosalina's current popularity is plain trash since everybody says ''I hope Rosalina is in because she is hot , in a swimsuit , her legs , a biker suit'' etc.

Back to the point , the bottom line is , i don't mind Rosalina being generic now since the other characters in Mario behave the same most of the time , sure i would argue that characters like Waluigi are 10 times more unique than Rosalina , which is true but doesn't matter anyway.

It doesn't hurt anymore , like every other character , she'll be happy and simple minded , giggling by no reason and not having anything unique about her aside from her past.

The only thing that i can see unique in Rosalina that Will never change is the Bangs in her hair , that is pretty trademark of hers , and her Main dress. Anything else , is a variation of either Peach or Daisy at this point.

The main reason why I like Rosalina has to be her back story, I really won't be that much of the fan if it wasn't her amazing back story.

Great backstory + powerful but motherly figure + breathtaking beauty = WIN. Nuff said.

And, sincerely, I don't care about the personality of the characters inside spin-offs. There isn't much space for great personalization when the only thing you have to do in the games is playing board games or race with karts. This doesn't mean the characters have to be just sticky figures but with practically no dialogue or plot is difficult to appreciate such features.
It's really different on games like SMG, Sunshine or the Mario RPG saga.

This gets extended even further when your pair Rosalina with a vehicle that looks cute and cuddly; this is often why whenever I play Mario Kart 8, I like to pair Rosalina with the Biddybuggy.

About MK8, I ordered it yesterday and it should arrive soon, I really want to see how the new changes affects the gameplay. I'm one of those people who think that the DS version is the best and after that the saga hasn't reached that pinnacle. I hope this game will change my mind

In terms of how the driving feels, I think MK8 it is the best, since the vehicles feel like they have weight to them. And it also has my favourite track designs. And of course, the graphics and music are the best they've ever been.

But the item balance is bad and the game is lacking in modes and features outside of bog standard racing. Battle Mode is there but it's not very good since it takes place on the race tracks and not in specialised battle arenas.

Personally i don't like that kart whatsover. The best vehicle for Rosalina is the Circuit Special or the Sports Bike imo.

I go with the Comet Bike usually since I think it fits her best, for obvious reasons.

Or sometimes the Yoshi Bike since I love Yoshi too.

If I want to use a Kart I tend to use the Blue Falcon or something.

Rosalinda is honestly one of the worst designed characters ever, I don't mean in smash I just mean the character herself. You're going to tell me that she's the goddess of the cosmos, or what the **** ever, and she decides to wear a gown from K-mart? Out of all of the places in the universe to shop and she chooses to shop at K-mart??? Honestly she's a fraud, no goddess shops at K-mart. Rosalinda has been EXPOSED as the fake goddess she is.

Anyways, if I play Mario Kart 8 as Rosalina, I use the City Tripper + Slicks + Super Glider (more air speed) for competitive reasons.

I've ended up developing a big grudge towards the Slicks during the past set of months. The Slims may be a tad slower, but they do offer a small handling boost, AND they don't hinder the water speed stat so heavily, so they're better suited for just about any kind of terrain.

Frankly, I find it quite disturbing that the vehicle parts that have the highest stat totals are often ignored for having low ground speed statistics. Of course it also doesn't help when the acceleration system is heavily flawed as well.

I like to try to give vehicle parts like the Biddybuggy more attention, and amusingly, something about that vehicle body really made me want to pair Rosalina with it.

For the sake of all the users who come here, please do not go there.

Yeah the Monster and Hot Monster are quite awful for most tracks. Strangely, they do get some usage in the 200cc.

Still, for the most part, you're better off using the Metal and Gold Tires if you want that weight boost.
