sorry if this has allready been a thread but who do you think is the most impressive character to watch at a high level?

i always thought ness was the most boring charater but after watching sima's ness on dreamland i was mesmerised.
isai's link and prince's yoshi would be up there too

I've always found really good DK's to be impressive. I like Morgen's DK a lot. He has nice combos, but his recovery doesn't make sense to me.

i dont think morgens DK is any more special than his other characters, morgen is just epic at reading other players/predictions

morgen is just epic at reading maltfox.
if you only play 1-2 players for years, you get to know their playstyle very well.
they never wanted to play online with us.
some european players, me included, think that if we would play them, we would beat them just thanks to the immense number of people we play with and playstyles we see.

- any of malva's characters
- yeah, zen's falcon & sheer's yoshi were good mentions

pretty much any character/player that can move beyond the standard combos. (something that i have not mastered yet)

I always thought that Samus was the least interesting to watch. :dizzy:

1. Fox
2. Pikachu
3. Kirby
4. Ness
5. Jigglypuff
6. Link
7. Luigi
8. Mario
9. Falcon
10. Yoshi
11. DK
12. Samus

The difference between everyone is quite a bit closer in this tier list than in the tier list for best characters to play. I didn't put much thought into this.

Zenyore's Fox and Falcon do some really cool combos.

Prince, sossi, alancitu. I enjoy watching any good Yoshi.

im noticin a trend here lol (about good samus's). i guess were definitely gonna have to record some matches at G.A.M.M.E. sheer

as far as most impressive character to watch at high level, i would say all of them. its always fun to watch something that i never knew a character was capable of doing

i want a reaction vid to parries, should be funny.
sheer is so good at parrying samus. charged shot is almost useless as a surprise, just in combos.

also don't aprroach with sh dairs, or you will get parry usmashed.

Samus is like the easiest character to parry =P

But yeah Yoshi is the most fun to watch to me, because in general he is an aggresive character.

Link is up there too, I dunno but I think projectiles and stuff flying around look cool lol

I never (relative for Samus) had much trouble with Samus vs. Sheer's Yoshi. I'm not sure why. I mean, he wins the majority of matches in that match-up for sure, but I never feel overwhelmed.

I enjoy watching really good link players, although I have played very few people who are great with link. I enjoy watching Gohan's link, there was a link to one of his youtube vids from the peru smashers thread a little while ago.

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
I love watching really good people, no matter what character they use (even really good kirbys are fun to watch... as in those that don't rely on up-tilt only). My favourites to watch are those characters that I rarely see (at least compared to the rest of the cast).

I like to watch people that are really flashy / creative , or technical beasts, you never get bored with that.

What about when a Yoshi parries an approach, breaks their shield, and then 0-death combos them?

Too good.

Well I've broken puff's shield under the rapetent then 0 - deathed her. Not sure If I've ever parried their approach before it happened though. Definitely done it vs most other chars though.

Mahie I'm betting I'd think its awesome if/when someone does it to me the 1st time.

yeah but when we played the other day you kept crouching and parrying all my approaches, and it got very annoying, I was scared of attacking after a while :p

Does that really count as a parry ? Would Jiggly's rest count as one too ? If I remember correctly it has an invicibility frame.

You have to predict the parry. For example, if you're Link, you can short hop towards Yoshi, then use your midair jump before you reach him and use your d-air, catching him on the jump (which is what I did sometimes when I played Sheer under an alt, lolwut)

Or you can use multihit moves (doesn't always work, I've parry upsmashed a pika fair before somehow lol)

Yeah, but when you're not used to it at all, it's not that simple... multihit moves do work, but I can't short hop dair on my laptop and I never use my desktop so yeah, I'm screwed. ( Using Fox)
