I'm gonna go ahead and add my two cents to the gameloft subject.

It's crap. I was hired there approximately 2-3 ago through the aide of an inside contact but i realized just how bad the place is to work in terms of what it is. I dont know if they've changed much since, but a company solely working on cell phone games isn't too great, plus they pay wasn't too good either IMO.

Thats also what I heard. I have a close friend who is an artist there and he is trying to do everything he can to LEAVE. He says he doesn't learn anything new, and no one is really motivated at all to create quality products. No offense to you Agora D;

Hey, I know we make crap games, and I know the France HQ fires people like flies, and I know they make us train other studios so they can replace us for a cheaper pay even though Montreal is their best studio, hands down... but the place has a great environment, the people are nice, and we have some cool benefits, especially if you're a QA guy. All the other QA places in Montreal make their testers work like slaves around the clock with little to no benefits, bad working environment and even less job security.

Furthermore, we no longer strictly work on cellphones, it's mostly Wii Ware, Xbox Live Arcade, iPods, DS and the likes nowadays.

Mystic, you worked there once? Maybe I know you? What's your name, if you don't mind? :D I've been working there for close to 5 years now so I was prolly there when you got hired XD

My name is Kirt et non, tu me connais probablement pas de GL car jai pas rester plus que quelque jour avant que le long trajet de metro me tue.

Je dirais pas que Babel est meilleur en term de qualiter pour ces QAs mais au moin ils tenvoye a letranger et te paye lhotel et te donne un per diem en plus, which is pretty cool.
