Yeah, neutral air all you want, my overall skills are better.

Edit: this saturday, there's the auto show at the stadium. We're gonna try to be there around 1-2pm, and leave after the booby challenge. Test, I would appreciate it if you could call me on saturday, I'd like to do something with you in the evening. ;) ;) *nudge nudge*....

I'm gonna take you to a GHEY BHAR! jk

if I had a good teamate that could do more than just taking sheik and do some sheik garbage (no offense to you test, but my friend blows with sheik) then my team could be possibly be a small treath for you guys.

But that day won't happen..

*stares at map not even showing st-jerome on it*

**** it!

Fourside est à ON, donc Shih-En pourrait me battre....

Yay.

Well, Test, the way I see it... if you wanna be the best, you gotta be the best, no matter what are the circumstances. So imo, we should go there, and get the money, and walk away with blatant insults towards the newbs. As we usually do.

Still thinking about going there? Here's something Trax (the guy organizing this tournament) posted in a topic called "Fun versus Victory". Might wanna read it...

About the fun vs. win aspect of the game, I always sticked to the former, the funniest way to play. My friend and I tried to play "like the pros" a few times and we couldn't feel the fun and laugh at anything strange happening on the screen anymore.

The first time I've seen good players fight (I downloaded videos on DC), I couldn't refrain from thinking "They move fast, they do strange things (like wavedashing), they are frenetic, but ****, it's boring."

When I see a character killed by an unavoidable spike, my reaction is more like "Ah... That's cheap..." instead of "What a great combo !"... Well, you get the picture...

And of course, when I talk about this "strange" way of loyal fight, I always get about the same answer : "If you can't avoid being spiked, then you suck !". In my opinion, a fair and square fight proves your skill a lot more than a successful edge guard...

A few words on this friday morning...

About Trax:

He has a weird point of view in my opinion. He says that he prefers fun over skills or whatever, but he still decides to make a tournament. The point of a tournament is to compare your actual skills against others, and by the same time prevail. The thing is that with items, all on (probably at normal rate), the skill gets literally crushed by sheer luck. So if he's going to do a tournament, he should do it items off (or at low with the obvious items off like tomatoes and such), because this luck will have a lot to do in this tournament.

About Test Rider:

You play the game very seriously, you can't lose, you must not lose. That's your only bad side. I like the intensity you put in the game, you always thrive towards excellence, but it can become tiring for others. I agree with Paty in the way that you whine *for lack of a better word* when she plays or when you lose; it would seem you should remember that this is just a game, and we're trying to have fun. It's not a sport, your life isn't hanging by a thread every time you play. Try to be more sympathetic towards others. After playing a lot with you, it would seem that I'm starting to play the game a little too seriously also. I don't like the feeling. I do like the game, and "good competition" (and I mean it in 2 ways, good fights but mostly "good sportsmanship").

So, I'm going to the tournament, Test, I'm inviting you to come with me, and try to get the money. You know I'd really like you to be there. If you're not changing your mind, we'll make a drawing to see who can be my partner at the tourney between paty and vodka (I suppose nosh and mike will be together, I wouldn't play with anybody else apart from you 5).

It's not a sport

Huh? Are you saying my attitude would be justified if it was a physical activity? How come?

Anyway, I suppose if everyone goes to the thing I'll tag along, but it'll still suck. And by the way I don't think there's a team part in this "tournament".

No, not at all. What I'm saying is that your not living off your performance, since high paid athletes are (generally) good at what they are doing. The difference between sportsmen and gamers is that sportsmen actually live off what they are doing. Of course, the day we'll be paid to smash newbs, I'll be the first one to get serious about this. :p

Not a team part yet...

Rules ARE subject to change...

And besides, regardless of luck or wahtever, seeing you guys are supersior then normal... You SHould theoreticly still prevail with or without items!...
