I'll help you carry your tv. I feel bad cuz I can't contribute any other way (except controllers) so I'll be glad to help any other way. I have a chem lecture that ends at 6 so I can help with setup. WHATEVER IT TAKES FOR SMASH. Oh and FREE MELEE LESSONS TOO. :laugh: Oh and snacks make this even sweeter.

Edit: Gosu bring your melee crew too. I wanna meet em!

I don't know man...most of em can't go anywhere...I have to go to them

you know you can help by bringing your PC and playing starcraft with me or TF2 on the other team...I need someone to backstab all the time... jk


but yeah...we're going till 6am so whatever...invite everyone you know. you could even hold a mini tourny if you really wanted since we have the venue for a long time...up to you since you guys only have one setup

k sooooo were definitely playing smash tommorow night at the venue mostly melee

tonight were playign brawl after 8... probably crew battle we'll see i have like 8 peeps right now

hey, guys. should we make a separate thread for this and call it a smashfest?:chuckle: would be cool, no? or should we make it by invite only? On the one hand, more people is usually better, on the other hand, not if they're noobs...

i think its too short notice no? we can make a thread anyway idc how many come.

i have a car someone have an extra tv? that way we can have 2 setups going if it's in isla vista i'll come drive and pick it up (CLAIREEEEEEEE)

stuff is goign down... probably next quarter. in conjunction with the LAN parties the video game club will host tournies (which is what it seems like right now).

we held a impromptu mini tourney last night and it was successful... except for the part where I got ***** by people I beat ><

dante your jiggs got better. it ***** in melee but its pretty good in brawl too >< too bad brawl doesn't let you rest combo i think i saw you set it up perfectly like 3 times and it completely failed.

aj your better too now ****. 4-stock gg.

i got worse in melee. back to training moooooode.

Hey guys whats up. I believe friday dec 5 there will be a smash tourney hosted at san marcos again. There will be melee and brawl (unfortunately Dante, Jose is running it so we will see how good (bad?) of a TO he is).
He should be posting it on smashboards by request of me. My melee skills have diminished BADLY so I may need to practice that again. Should be fun if it all goes well though.

it's not that I hold him in high regard as a player. It's just that in my time here he was pretty much the only consistent TO around.

In all honesty as a player he spams lasers as falco too much

Except I know a lot of smashers are going to Claire's tourney (the one that's stickied...) on the 6th... might travel the day before.

Maybe this will be warmup :D

bah.... but this tournament will have melee and will be closer. =D
that tournament's in san bernardino or something. We'll let the masses choose which to attend:
the generic, huge, brawl focused, far away tourney; or the small, friendly, local tourney. :D

And they don't even really have to choose, because this one'll be the day before.

and yeah, foop is bryant, bryant is foop, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna start around 3:30-4:00ish. If not, the idiot who's running it gets a kick in the face. But I know Dante's coming, and that's good enough for me! LOL.

YES. Tips:
-include the date and place in the title.
-Let it be known what the entry fee will be for each tourney
-Tell them there will be good competition for both melee and brawl.
-be open for suggestions but ultimately you (or whoever is running the tourney) decide what to do regarding time, fees, ruleset, etc.
