We do not have room for all this SO:

Melee: one setup

Tekken and 64 will be on the same TV, and will have to interchange, until the tourn winds down.

How about this:

Don't set up things in a halfassed-halfassed fashion like last time so there will be room for 2 Melee setups in addition to the number of needed Brawl setups, because a considerably greater number of people going would like to play it this time and have 2 Melee setups.

Lucas' house, yes. Lucas' tournament, not as much.

I run the brackets, and entry fees. as well as the amount of setups. I understand you're friends and all, but you're taking up room playing when we could have more Brawl setups. There are no more than 3 people even near the TV at once.

We let you slide on the house fee because you bring a brawl setup. If it's only melee you'll bring then you pay. Only crew members get the exception. 1 setup.

lol, wut?
I organize, advertise, and work this all out. You get the venue, and you're compensated for it. The two stations will only be melee if enough interest is shown.

If there's not a brawl setup/ tv used for brawl, then there's a 2$ house fee per person.

You seem to forget that you often use my TV/s for Brawl when needed, and I'm always there afterwards helping out at these things well after your ass (and the rest of montage) is long and gone and failed to help clean up jack shit. :embarrass

I don't remember you EVER paying a house fee, do I? No. You get no special treatment Magus. You're no better than anyone else who comes. You're not crew, you get no perks. And oh, you got me. Last time, there were 3 tvs left! /gasp! One had to go to a room, and the others went to Inui's room. This was after Montage put all the tables/chairs away.

Don't bring this attitude to this tournament. Plain and simple. It's not welcome.

Magus doesn't pay a house fee. He's very helpful.

The whole crew organizes, bruh. Anyone can post a thread here or tournament on AiB, so lol @ trying to get credit for that. The whole crew tends to work it all out, d00d.

This ain't your show. It's our show.

Luv yah, babe. ;)

Whatever =P

The point I was trying to make was that this...
There are no more than 3 people even near the TV at once.
...does not seem like it will be the case and that...
The two stations will only be melee if enough interest is shown.
...there is much more interest than before to play Melee at this one so people would be interested in having 2 setups for it, and that this would be entirely possible if you make intelligent use of the space available >_>

If you only knew. I post flyers in local gamestores, not to mention I tell every living being. ****, I even convinced terrabite to post a flyer in their store. I bring the crew, organize the car rides, (While defending your marth on the way down.)

Don't say 'love ya', ***got.

If there's not a TV brought for Brawl, then he's using the space to have fun, which is fine, but that's not why I do all of this work. This is a BRAWL tournament. Not to mention, I'm the reason we have free food for the crew this time, mook. You can barely get a room for us. tch

wooooooooooooooooooooow

wtf dm? He's also right about the garbage way you setup your TVs. One of the power strips was suspended in midair between two TVs that were plugged in.

The point I'm making, is that if you're going to name-call, I'm not going to welcome you here. Don't go running to mommy.

Good stuff. You do indeed bring half the crew here. Defending my Marth is unnecessary. Tournament results do that far better than anyone's opinion ever could. Thanks anyways, though.

I thought what we had was special. :(

I couldn't get a room because you guys asked so late at night. The chief of sales and manager were both long gone and asleep. You kind of have to make such requests during business hours. I'm the reason we have a free venue, equipment, and a grill to cook that food in the first place. No, wait, my dad's the reason, lol. He's too good.

Stop trying to compete with me over who does more. It's so stupid. XD

Let Magus do his thing. He has my blessings.

My friend(and ride) gets out of work at around 12:00pm and the drive over there is going to take just a little bit over an hour. Meaning that there is a major chance of me not being able to make Registration and/or the start of doubles.

Options:

1. I don't register and would waste the ride over so I'm forced to not come at all.
2. I could still do singles but miss out on the start of doubles (sorry Keit)
3. I hopefully get there at 1:00pm earliest and still make doubles.

The latest possible I'll be there is around 1:20pm. Estimated I'll make it at around 1:10, earliest being 12:50. If registration for both tournys is a must then I just can't make it guys(very sorry). The hour pushback compared to the Terrabite tourny is what puts me in the problem.

The tourn won't officially kick off until 1:30. I'll put you in the bracket with Keitaro, and shedule your match last. I won't have you guys pay until you get there. If you don't make it, your opponents get a bye, and no harm done.

Thanks so much. I'll call you when I'm close.

Blue - can you get a train into hamilton/trenton from where you are? I can pick you up day of.
Thanks for the offer ;)

And also about the tourny. Why isn't Jungle Japes a counter pick for singles? It has been in almost every major tourny.

The klaptrap isn't in anyone's favor though. It simply makes it so people are more hesistat to ledge camp(thus the counterpick). It also has a high ceiling(counterpick). The wooshing water makes for defense against spikes anywhere but the left side of the field(counterpick). But you can't camp the left side of the field because it puts you extremely near a very dangerous part of the level. It would be like camping the right side of Frigate Orpheon.

Really overall there is really no reason to ban the stage. If Rainbow Cruise, Pictochat, Luigi's Mansion, and Hanenbow(teams only) are counterpick stages in this tourny I see no reason for Jungle Japes minus that its annoying.

All California tournys have Jungle Japes as a counterpick and have no complaints about it. And also most Philly tournys have Jungle Japes too.

I wholeheartedly agree with Blue sHell. His good presentation of facts prove that Green Hill Zone should be legal in both singles and teams...

Greenhile zone is just asking for DDD to chaingrab you + alot of characters have broken strats to break the explosive boxes over people's faces. Team's counterpick at most.

sorry if this is bugging but does anyone know how to get from Philly to Princeton transit wise?
Me and my friend want to go horribly but no ride just leaves trains.

Wow, like that matters? You don't deserve to lose a match because of a random event. Also, Dedede can CG you into the water.

It simply makes it so people are more hesistat to ledge camp(thus the counterpick).
Pick Frigate or Lylat so people are more hesitant to ledgecamp.

Uh wut? Camping the right side of Frigate Orpheon is perfectly safe unless you have a garbage recovery.

Ah but don't forget, the point of a counterpick is to use someone who DDD can't chaingrab. I've yet to see the second part of your argument though.
