I really didn't want to get into role speculation, but believing jungle's claim makes it harder to believe BunBun's in a game this small. I'm not going to spell it out for you on the off chance we've got seriously stupid scum, but think about what kind of town investigative role jungle's role implies. I'll give you a hint: It's not BunBun's thief-pseudowatcher combo.

With that, you're looking at a minorly broken town, depending on what mafia has in their arsenal.


With that said I like some of what BunBun has said further back (not today), and in P487 he's a lot calmer than I would expect under this kind of pressure. It simply seemed too reasonable, given that his fate hangs on a thread held by someone he has been accusing with little substantiation up and down.

Quick Hits:

-I don't like Rockin's claim because of its unverifiability. I know I didn't use this as a point against junglefever, but Rockin's actually quite good at fake claiming. I recall Nowhere Mafia, wherein he found probably the best fakeclaim he possibly could have for the flavor and sold it, only really failing because he had Eor on his scent.

-I still buy jungle's claim for all the same reasons I said before. I don't like that he's been coasting hard since, but I can see him doing that.

-I buy Omni's gambit... for now. The math and voting logistics synch up, and he's done things like this before. Frankly, it was a good idea that could have been executed much better. I'll elaborate D2, assuming we don't have significantly better leads.

-Gheb is now arm-wrestling Rockin for top suspect. More on D2.


Back to BB.

I feel incredibly uneasy about him, especially in what little parlay we've shared since I got my internet restored, but I also feel uneasy casting a hammervote when I have only just finished catching up. I just don't have time to put the pieces together like I want to to making the deciding vote in a lynch, and I definitely don't have the time to decide if he's a solid info lynch. I'm enough out of the loop that I can't make that judgment call.

You should've lynched Rockin after his claim btw. Seriously ... PGO? Claimed PGO is worthless and Rockin played super unhelpdumb the whole day 1. That's the kind of player scum keeps around to destroy town with their uselessness. Now we don't even have any new information thanks to CactEE's no-lynch nonsense.

i think omni should get plenty of flak for encouraging them not to drop hammah. if you mean that you're taking his ability at face value then keep in mind that there're mafia priests which is a goon with the same restriction

you're right that scum will never kill rockin but i'm starting to think rockin being worthless is a towntell for him. test subject? ff7? simpsons? i remember him wagoning like everyone as scum so i'll have to look back at his voting. im aware of how horrible this sounds

I argued why I chose a No Vote. If you found my explanation scummy then say why. Doing a no lynch in that situation definitely seemed best for town if you ask me.

After reading through things I'm just flat-out confused. If Rockin, Cacti and BB are all town we're in trouble because they're unhelpdumb. If EE and Matunas are town too we're royally screwed. That's half of the game. Our Doc is dead, BB/Cacti/Rockin don't help much in terms of scumhunting, EE/Matu are inactive. If they're all town we'll get *****.
Cacti is playing like a major scumbag. People like that should be vigged asap but it doesn't look like there's a vig. If this guy is town ... don't even wanna think about it. Reminds me of Steel/Karthik in Simpsons. BB/Rockin are up there as well and they're all a major threat to town regardless of their allignment. Scum will keep them alive as long as possible...

Scumtosman is completely off everybody's radar. He seems to be coasting a lot too and he's been fence-sitting a lot. He only really pushed for the BB lynch, which is what scum would also do. He played exactly like that in FFVII and MegaMafia.

EE so far has been only picking on the most comfortable lynch candidates, which is - as he said himself - what scum wants to most. General inactivity, plus lots of open questions = WIFOM at it's finest.

Matu - can't tell the difference between him and scumtosman at all. His inactivity troubles me.

Cacti/Rockin/BB are scum or dumb although BB is most likely town.

this is a good post. it lines up with my suspicions. i've been seing scumtosman and matunascum as the same but the former is worse

1. Marshy, for his quick-lynch pushing yesterday on people who I thought were not mafia at all, such as BunBun and Omni. He does not even attempt to lynch Rockin' while he has been the scummiest one out of the three IMO. Also, his pushing around of the vig in day one, if we even have one. I will probably look into him. Rockin is my second suspicion, but I think that he has a solid claim, and yesterday, it seemed like he was taking the pressure on him well. However, if him being mafia with Marshy is something I can see, with Marshy making up a role like that for Rockin. I don't really have a third.

2. Not sure of this, kind of leaning towards scum, but it's iffy.

4. Because I didn't really have any big suspicions at the time, and I thought that BunBun might get us a good report.

5. Because there are better options if you are lynching off unhelpfulness. Some people have not said anything at all like Tom/Matunas. You say that are a big advocate for lynching inactives, why did you never say anything about Matunas?

6. Because BunBun is a watcher, and should be on power roles to see scum killing them at night. If BunBun was on Jungle when he died, he should report now.
