Regarding the UU tier changes - This tournament will use the tiers setup by Smogon as of NOW. Therefore at the current point Cresselia and Porygon Z are UU, etc. Anything that happens during this week with the suspects will be ignored. Tournaments end up lagging due to delayed starts, so I'm making sure this one won't.

I actually think that we should wait until after the remaining week of suspect testing is done unless your goal is to maximize activity, in which case starting as soon as possible would work best (or when we reach an arbitrary entrant cap).

Keep in mind that if we wait for a week for nominations to finish and another week for voting, it'll only be about 3 weeks before the tier lists update.

Either way we're going to have to keep a list of Pokemon at that time period if we plan on moving ahead with this.

nah, i get where you're coming from

particularly with unusual teambuilding requirements as well as scizor being banned...there's a lot more freedom as far as strategies that will work. seeing how people incorporate nu/uu pokemon into those strategies will be interesting, although I worry that this could turn into "wow these ou pokemon are running over the entire rest of my team".
