I can still imagine it in my mind, and it would be interesting. >_< I don't even like Snake or Sonic much at all either. Who knows? There could be some surprises that they're just dying to release when the time is right.

Palutena was one of the characters on the leaked list of newcomers. I will like to she her as playable character. She has my support. We need another Kid Icarus rep.
I very much doubt any unlockable newcomers will be revealed in the trailer, barring 3rd-parties. I'd say chances were good that Palutena will be a starter though, so I wouldn't worry too much.
You should probably disregard any leaked list of newcomers you've seen so far. Even if it's pretty believable.

Have you seen this leak yet? I think it's fake because Sonic is not a newcomer. This is the only one I can find.

I would also like to see videos like that. But even in the case of this happening, I would expect that unlockable characters wouldn't have their trailers shown until around the game's release or a bit after.
I actually think Palutena would be a good fit for an unlockable character. Though it would definitely be pretty exciting to see her in a few weeks. Either way, waiting is all we can do. :/

Don't believe the stuff you see sometimes, especially as far as so-called leaked roster stuff. Sline alone is ridiculous, and so is Megaman (again, we got Samus), I don't want Ridley either.
Besides, we need more Palutena, and we know she's very likely at the very least since Uprising, that with a buffed-up Pit, too.

Any leaked roster, I consider fake unless proven otherwise. That's my way to see such things.
Why wouldn't you? I think he's important to the Metroid series and Nintendo overall...

Yes, that's the Universe roster leak, it's really old. Late 2011 I believe. IIRC Sakurai admitted the roster wasn't decided at that point. It's definitely fake.

Sad thing is that the Universe thing before the character leak started may have been real, given something like that would make sense due to the timing.
Sakurai only stated that the characters hadn't been decided yet, which means the separate character leak for "Universe" was false. The original documents where "Universe" came from however, didn't state any definite characters, aside from the concept that Mother and F-Zero are "finished" with who they already have.

Anyways, I personally am not interested in the (fake) leaks, though many do have Palutena in it. I just want to see our Goddess on the battlefield to be playable, and she has a good chance. I have faith that Nintendo will make it happen. I'll be very sad if she isn't though, then I'd be stuck with Pit and Bowser again.

Praying and wishing is the best we can do. I don't think I can wait 5 weeks, as I'm already anxious, let alone wondering how Pit's gonna be buffed, and now Lady Palutena as always.

Palutena seems more like a starter, and the fact that there was a new Kid Icarus game which gave every character personality, It's super possible that she could be revealed. I don't think we really need to pray....

I don't know. I'm just nervous because I do love her so much. Starter or Secret, all good to me. Then I'll imagine all the 2v2 Pit + Palutena teams that I'll be in, being either 1 of said character too.
I wonder what colors she'll be using. Regular, red/pinkish, Blue, Green, Gold, and a darker or Medusa-like design are all likely to me.

Sakurai did have the interest to reviving Kid Icarus, so it might be related to how later Kirby got two new reps, Metaknight and Dedede in the third game. So Kid Icarus might possibly get two reps too, Palutena and Dark Pit in the fourth game.

I don't approve of him being a playable character. It's like getting a dark doppelganger as a new character just isn't a good idea to me. Now I don't mind if Pit's old Dark costume now gets remodeled to look like said Dark Pit and there being a trophy of him, but not as a new character. If anything, I'd want Phosphora to be the 3rd representative, after Pit and Palutena of course.

It's like the Metaknight of Kirby, Dark Pit has a very different style than Pit, which is why I would love to see him in Smash Bros. Dark Pit has good chance of being able to fight the best Nintendo fighters out there, I think he's one of those best fighters.

seeing how people completely disregard my argument that kat and ana would work since they have fighting skill, saying that dark pit is unique due to the way he fights isn't a good argument. pit and dark pit are literally clones, so they probably would be in smash, too. not saying he would have the same moveset, but it might be close to save time.
also kirby and metaknight are really opposites, there really isn't much the same about them, so you can't really say the same about kirby and meta knight that you can about dark pit and pit.

Also Toon Link would be a good argument. Despite that Link and TL are the same, personality and style are what sets them apart.

Well, Kirby and MK are different, and it's been shown. Pit and Dark Pit however would be the upmost similar. I mean both their main weapons are Bows (DP's Silver Bow that he uses more than his staff), and though their fighting style may seem different if you consider their personality, the fact that they're both angels wielding a bow, let alone one being a clone of the other (except personality), it just isn't my cup of tea, you know.

I'm not gonna say Magnus mainly because he'd most likely be an Ike without fire from his blade, not my style either.

Eh... Dark Pit could have at least one different special move than Pit: Pit has the Mirror Shield and Dark Pit could have his staff.
Like Dr. Mario for Mario, I think Dark Pit could be an EX mode for Pit that tweaked some of his moves.

I think Hades would be best as boss material, but I admit he would be one hell of a character to play as. 
If Hades does appear somehow, NoA better hire the same actor that did his voice in Uprising.

Maybe Pit can be the same, not buffed and staying with the same weapons. Dark Pit could have lots of more power than Pit, and is faster than Pit, using his Darkness Bow, Dark Pit Staff, Pandora's Flight, and maybe the Ogre. His recovery goes a lot faster than Pit, but it is also much shorter. Most of his special moves have some start-up and end-lag, and he is lighter than Pit with all that power.

Besides the movesets, have you guys discussed yet what Palutena's other animations would be like? Such as her winning, lose, taunt animations etc etc? :/
