Miracle Of Light - Palutena in SSB4 (Featuring Cereza from Bayonetta-series)

The reason Palutena is not stagnating because there are justifications to include the character, not some sort of petty bandwagon over what is considered recent. She's a character with very positive reception and is important enough to be mentioned in the series title in Japan.

She's also one of the few newcomers that I would actually be heavily disappointed if not playable. She's just so comical, and a bit of a hidden badass, given that she doesn't often use her powers, but the powers themselves are, well, godlike. It's a nice touch, in my opinion.

Honestly, I'd add Viridi. Sakurai apparently likes her, and she'd make an easy last-minute semi clone of Palutena.

It only lacks Viridi, who's quite important to the plot of Uprising and apparently is one of Sakurai's favorite characters. Other than that, you got everything covered.

Adding Viridi does make sense. As much as I like Phosphora, who does have fighting potential as a speedy electrical character (that Pika fills this role already), we don't get to see much of her anyways, but Viridi is quite important. I only see Pit and Palutena playable outta the group at best though, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai brings Viridi or another one of them in.

Funny how in one game Kid Icarus went from old-school series with ridiculous difficulty to a series with so many potential characters.

I just hope a wiiU game comes out. It doesn't even have to be anything too new, just port it over with better graphics!. (new game would be nice tho)

Uprising is too new and was made as epic as it was on the grounds that another game would not follow for a while.

Give it at least a couple of years before demanding a new title. I mean, even the non-Japan released Of Myths and Monsters did not come right after the original game. It had about a 4 year difference.

the only reason I really said that was because I have a wii U but no 3DS. so I couldn't play it. and I was sad.

Hmmm, the thing that established Palutena was how she trolled Pit and had fun at his expense. I wonder how they'd translate this into Smash 4. Is suppose there could be a codec thing, but how would that work when both of them are on stage?

I don't really have anything to say on that.I guess I'm kinda expecting to see her anyway, but I'm more looking forward to how she's executed. That I'd like to give my opinions for.

I'd be thrilled though if she became playable though. Now if she was a good and fun-looking one, beeeetter.

I'd be cheerful that not only is there another KI rep playable (as well as a new female character), but she'll be another character for me to main besides Pit (and Bowser, but he's never a good character competitively anyways).

I support pretty much any female character and any potential mage. As far as I know, Palutena is pretty female, and could potentially be a mage (Or have the playstyle similar to one, I mean).

To be fair, Jigglypuff can be male or female, when going by the Pokemon routine. 50% chance of male or female iirc, but what do I know? Most ppl call it a her or it, sometimes a he.

I think the reason people refer to Jigglypuff as a she in smash is because most of her alternate costumes are hats worn by many female characters in the games such as Leaf/Blue's hat, like Pikachu has more male hats such as Red's hat and all.

Jigglypuff should totally wear Lyra's hat in smash 4.

Actually, Palutena does the Specknose curse.
In the Japanese version of the original game, Palutena turns Pit into a Specknose in the worst ending.

Ironically, getting the worse ending is harder then getting the best ending. You literally have to have zero hearts and be at level 1, in other words you had to be absolutely minimal in order to get it. Considering that Kid Icarus is a difficult game (especially without the extra strength), it's very daunting.

I think she most likely will be confirmed in 6 weeks.

But there aren't that many westerners who are really huge supporters of Palutena so I don't think it will be a big deal here. It's not like if Ridley or K.Rool were revealed and half the board here would hit the roof in joy.

But now that I think about it, if Smash4 does have Lady Palutena as one of them unlockable characters, do you think they'll give a sneak peak of her in a trailer fashion, sort of like what they did to introduce Snake and Sonic in Brawl (except better of course)? Like what some games do to special characters, they get a trailer that shows their gameplay. I want to see something like that to bring the hype up even more. And I got the plans for that all planned out too.

We see Pit fighting with other characters. A light from the heavens appears with Lady Palutena arriving, with Pit being surprised of course, asking what she's doing here. She says something along the lines of "I couldn't let you have all the fun, now could I, Pit?" Then cue the epic Lady Palutena gameplay trailer, including a part of her battling Pit just for the sake of more fun. After 20-45 seconds of gameplay, show off her final smash (provided they're still in), and in the end, bring out them thick nerdy glasses and that smile with that shiny coming from the glasses to top it off.

Oh, I could see it now. *blush* <3

Considering that Snake and Sonic got special treatment because they were guests, it's not likely. I'd personally find it cool if every character got their own reveal video though, like what Capcom did for MvC3.
