Kay, I've read up.

Wow this got silly fast.

Mass-claim = bad idea. There is like no other way around that and it was just silly. Soup was justified in his answers to Xonar and didn't really get much from that argument besides me liking Soup.

Leaning on disliking Ditzy for his entrance because he voted Xoni and then said Xoni/Fynal were coming off worse but did not explain it that much, but Xoni does have a point with Ditzy not knowing about the shot thing but for me, it's Ditzy, he literally could just brain-lapsed and walked into some freebie town points because he did the same in Shining Force II. Sooo he's null for now.

I also laughed at Kanty's entrance post. If you guys don't know, he used that gambit in Walgreens mafia and it seems like a joke post instead of a gambit or anything that no one would know about unless they knew about the game, i.e. RR could be the only one with logical knowledge of that game.

So logically from each townies PoV, we have a 20% chance of lynching a nega-townie (1/5) but it's just the process of narrowing it down to who it could be. However we have like Yakuza stuff in this game which will just make things harder to read then before and just uuuugh. So let's get it right the first time and save us some headaches!

For me, I'm looking at a 25% odd ratio between Fynal/Ditzy/RR/Kanty because Soup is a lean-town atm and comfy with him at the current time.

Soup, talk to me about those four.

Stop information hunting, we aren't mass-claiming without a good reason. I have no doubt the first negatownie in this game was given a role in which more information would be advantageous. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a killing role or at least something to spread negatown around with.

If you don't think roles are telling of alignment, why are you asking for them so soon?

I like our PRs not being shot, and I don't like the way you went about this one bit. For what reason in a game where we "don't know" would I subject the town masses to the choice of a negatownie.

Do you honestly think Zen is going to make a game where town has some nice PRs we can use to break the game D1 and leave the negatownie without some sort of countermeasure? You're being dense Xonar, more dense than I'm willing to accept you being as town.

this stuff sucks. he gave no reasoning about why he thinks i look bad, and his reasoning for xonar consists of.... in red: "your scum because i'm sure the setup would make scum do what you do" and in yellow: "your scum because you're being stupid"

logic based on setup wifom is essentially unarguable/unprovable, because we dont know what the setup actually is. it means you can post without running the risk of being proven wrong. something like that.

red: by only having opinions which can't be proven wrong, such as that scum would benefit unusually much from information in this setup (yes, we'll know if the scum dies, but not before then and we need to catch him first), you make it sound like you're concerned with being proven wrong

yellow: by "keeping options open" i mean throwing my name out there as someone you dont think looks good without any backup. so, if people switch to thinking fynalscum, you can say "oh yeah!" and jump on the wagon. An open option.

Red Ruy is going to lay out a plan right now with what I know of this game and how to lynch scum in town's favor.

We know 5 town, 1 nega townie.

1 townie gets lynched and has a stronger chance to turn mafia.

If we lynch one person, they weren't the original negatownie. We need to hunt this player first and see what happens, if that player dies and game is still going, we know the others are cleared that weren't lynched because they weren't the original negatownie.

I am assuming this works unless by logic this is proven to be false and the negas have a role that convert.

i can't excuse the fact that what xonar did in the slot looked incredibly scummy. He went for an immediate day1 massclaim on the pretense of having an investigative, and when soup said no, he went balls to the wall lets-lynch-soup-on-the-spot. He wasn't interested in investigating anymore, as far as i could tell.

xonar has played with soup before, he has to realize that soup's arguments are... abnormally structured sometimes, but he just pushed madly onward for an instant soup lynch.

the only explanation for these behaviors that i can come up with is that xonar/J is scum, trying to pounce on what he thought would be an easy lynch, and/or trying to get people to massclaim at the start of D1.

personally, theres exactly one claim i've been interested in this whole time, and thats one from xonar/J. I'm exceedingly interested to see what kind of investigative involves just killing soup, not investigating him first. but we aren't there yet.

@RR: we have to consider that there are a heck of a lot of PRs that could get in the way, but its a good starting point. I dont intend to worry about the respawn stuff right now, because I dont intend to lynch a townie at all, but if it comes to D2 we'll definitely consider it.

@Jdietz: how many mafia games have you played? just out of interest

Because as I recently put, our argument was purely subjective and he made valid points, I admit I was a bit angered by his mindset and I feel like I was getting too personal detracting from the logic that Xonar was giving me.
