That WIFOM by killing Vinyl and coming into the Day calling that a stupid kill is a smart move though, I'll give you that.

Eh, you're trying too hard. As indy it'd be -really- easy to kill mafia Dietz and then mislynch Vinyl because he hasn't done anything this whole game, in fact i'm really surprised you didn't do that because that's what I would do as Indy. In fact as Indy it would have been easy to have lynched Vinyl given my chance while he was at L-1 on D1
Actually as indy it'd be really easy for me to mislynch Dietz right now since he's at least guaranteed scum.
In fact as indy it would have been easy for me to have done nothing this game and lurk like I do every time i'm scum instead of spearhead discussion and try to lynch mafia along with direct indy kill towards mafia. Meanwhile Potassium your play this game until yesterDay hasn't been anything other than how indy would play and the only reason your play changed yesterDay is because even as indy you needed to kill mafia.

I am so salty about this game right now because you're a stupid indy who just outed himself as Indy and instead of going into the final day as town with a 50% chance to win now i'm stuck in a situation where the best I can do is take out my salt on Indy and give mafia the win.

Not having to deal with vinyl was more important to me than winning, I knew full well what I was doing and that it lessened my chances of winning.
Fine with letting gorf and dietz win because town doesn't deserve it.
By the way scumteam, your mistake was voting in LyLo. No one had it narrowed down to anywhere close to correct, but what you did by voting me basically revealed yourself and cleared all the townies to each other.

I couldn't call you SK or we wouldn't be able to lynch you, and I had to decide against Gorf lynch and him against mine: and the laziest (but maybe most obvious) way was just to claim SK reads on each other. If only we had been online to alpha Dabuz's quickvote that he didn't think through.

Yeah I'm glad I was able to talk him out of that without having to claim.
But yeah I was more content with throwing the game to mafia than having a 50% chance of town getting it. dabuz played well though, props there.

One thing I have to say though is you really left a trail of corpses pointing fingers at you right to your door Kant. First Rake, then Gheb. I actually had to reason out to myself if it could have been intentional misdirection by Dabuz, but I decided against it.
I guess when it was all said and done neither of the scum factions were left feeling like masters of subtlety lol

Thoughts:
This game went on like, 7 days too long. Although I think the holidays was part to blame for that, the set up also made this game take a bit too long. Never again will I host an 8 man mini.
I'm sad that people didn't really seem to know the flavor, as evidence by the lack of comment on it.
I don't think Xatres was scummy, but I do think Kantrip was.
Jdietz, Dabuz, and Rake all did well.
Gheb had the most on point reads this game, unfortunately he never really had much influence nor did he ever attempt to gain it.
Honestly town didn't actually do bad in my opinion, I think they were just too inactive at first because of the holidays and the whole Xat vs Dabuz thing distracted people from reading anyone else until it was too late.
I also agree with Kantrip's choice to make the game a kingmaker, as I didn't think he would win against vinyl + dabuz.

Kantrip why'd you kill who you killed? Were you scum reading them? Cuz imo killing townies is the wrong play in that position, you're helping mafia moreso than yourself.
Ggs, I wish this was more active. And yea our choice to vote at all was pretty dumb in hindsight. I actually did it cuz I didn't think either of us would be overall thought of as scummy and cuz it'd put us in a position where we could call each other SK and get away with it. I didn't realize it could potentially clear vinyl as not mafia if two people were put to L-1 -.-

Btw Gheb your insist on gorf dying contingency plan causes me to never feel pressure from you. Your style doesn't really go for the outspoken side, so when your agenda always includes lynch gorf, you finding me scummy doesn't worry me at all as scum, and it tends to be overlooked by the thread. If you wanted to you could have handed it to me D2.

I was actually worried about Rake' ability to push a lynch off of his correct read and he was really townie and wouldn't get mislynched.
N2 I sent in a Dietz kill then switched it for a Gheb one. Actually thought Gheb was scum.

Town deserved to lose only cuz they weren't active enough. Dabuz was good, rake an Gheb were whatever but vinyl and xastres come on, your activity level was pitiful for a 7 man game. I get holiday johns but there were 6 days in D1.

Sworddancer, if town was lynched yesterDay and that Night there was 1 town, 1 sk, and 2 mafia, would the game have been over before indy's NK?
Random thoughts:
Very glad I didn't decide to hammer Vinyl D1, the wagon was too easy and policy lynch based for it to have been mafia in a 2 man game. Was debating on whether Vinyl was indy but decided against it because he would have had to try a "little" to stop the wagon as indy.
Inactivity for town was understandable due to all the holidays.
8 people game might as well be part of the main mafia queue since 3 days isn't enough.
First game i've played since BBR mafia days without a notepad, was fun.
Xatres, I wouldn't have pushed so hard for your lynch Day 2 if you made that really illogical case that you pushed someone badly in order scumread the next person to question that push.
Gheb had all the scummers down Day 2 and then he died : <
Day 3 I had a very good feeling Potassium was indy, my vote on him was actually not me wanting him lynched (hence why I made the vote at night), the goal was to see if I could scare him into claiming indy, but I had a feeling that he read right through that.
Gorf played alright but what made him obv. mafia was how he sat on townreading me without much input the first couple days along with communication that made him a logical scummate for either JDietz or Potassium.
Jdietz played very well, he made 1 set of nice posts in a game where few posts were good and he got scumread only as a result of PoE, regretting not pushing you more but there wasn't anything to push you on.
Vinyl was a very nice clear slot this game.
Rake died so early but at least his callout on Potassium was a nice connection.
Potassium skirted by on playing better than most slots and NKing 2 people who could have given him problems. Potassium, why let me live if you were gonna kill a townie? Killing me and being next to Vinyl would have looked better for you.
Still irritated at kingmaker ending
No idea what the flavor is (sorry Sworddancer)
