I honestly think one of the most effective ways to play lyncher is simply to allow your lynchee to be lynched naturally and treat it more like a survival wincon. Which I think you did fine at. Rake gave you some nice play-style paranoia to work with to make it happen naturally given enough time, which is great because it means you don't have to be the first origin of the suspicion.

I think a lot of things just happened to play out well for me ... my biggest threat got lynched D1 and my target presented himself on silver platter. That made it pretty easy for me to keep playing "natural".

For future reference TRG, as a townie never try to hide yourself man. As a PR in a regular game, yeah that'd be pretty ok (unless your me and never do that), but in this game especially since you were a self doc, the best thing you could do was be the most oblivious townie in the world to draw the nk

I dont apologize for tunneling though, just as I said to scary, my b for being wrong but if your planning on sticking around it's better you get exposed to the multitude of styles that DGames houses.

Well I'm a forgiving guy. Like Gorf said earlier we all played bad, and I'd have no prob playing with you again. ^.^

So I'm cheating a little bit by pushing the boundaries of "mini" mafia, but my game is going to be a TWEWY mafia, Liar version. For those unfamiliar with the set up, it goes, as follows:

4 vts
1 town doctor

vs.

2 mafia goons (no kill)

vs.

1 indie sk

Doc is not self-protecting because that's stupid.

Not to be "that guy," but I really think this is a game that belongs on the regular queue. The point of the mini mafia thread is that we can run quick games without that huge wait involved for mods AND without stealing too many players away from regular games. Your setup is pretty much guaranteed to run at least 3 Day phases, with a larger pool of players that will increase the amount of conversation. Not only that, but you'll be stealing a larger number of players away from the main queues, making it harder for them to fill. :-/

A valid concern. I was thinking of doing 4 or 5 day Day phases so to make it so that players had to lynch quickly, but 3 day Day phases sounds fine.

I think that's a fine compromise. We should try to strictly enforce the 7 player limit after this game, though.

I would actually be satisfied with any of the roles in this game :D. The challenge for mafia in this set up is something I've been wanting to take a swing at. :nessmelee:

Plus I don't think there's anything wrong with calling this game a mini. 8 players with one ability to protect and one ability to kill is cool imo.

@Gheb did you get me /in to host? I said it before Xas' game started, idk if that has any influence on my position or not but *shrug*, these games go by pretty fast anyway.
