Now entering Twilight phase. This phase will last for as long as it takes me to write the next flavor scene.

Despite his massive size, Guts Man was no match the remainder of Wily's Robot Masters. As Twilight drew nigh, the other robots had turned against him, each in turn. Now he was fighting for his life, trying desperately to use what little strength he had left to keep from getting lynched.

"It's Fire Man!" he screamed, as a combination of electric charges, shards of ice, and tiny, handheld bombs slammed into his deteriorating metal body. "Fire Man's the one you want."

"We don't believe you!" the other robot masters screamed. "And even if you are telling the truth, we'll just kill him next."

Moments later, all that was left of Guts Man was a pile of smoldering scrap metal. Another Robot Master had been killed...

Anomandaris_Rake (Guts Man, Town Naive Lynchee) has been lynched!

"Heh..." A voice came from among the Robot Masters. "Heh, heh, heh!"

The robots all turned to face Bomb Man, who stood in the center of the group.

"Heh, heh, heh," Bomb Man chuckled, looking at the shattered remains of Guts Man. "All I wanted was to see him dead. He's always building things, building and building and building. I just wanted to destroy."

The other Robot Masters move to intercept their insane counterpart, but suddenly a violent explosion rocks through Wily's stronghold.

"Now that he's gone, I can destroy all I want. I can destroy everything! Everything can explode and burn!"

The floor shook violently beneath their feet, as bombs placed strategically around the fortress all exploded in unison. A brilliant flash of light appeared in the center of the room, and seconds later, Bomb Man, the other Robot Masters, and Wily's stronghold were no more. The legacy of Doctor Wily ended in the crazed act of one psychotic robot.

I echo that nice job, you stayed very under the radar. The flavor matched and I thought about it at one point but you still did a good job of not making it seem like you were the chief suspect when I ran the possibility through my mind. You did a good job of acting uninterested instead of jumping on Rake D2.

1) All roles were completely randomized to Robot Masters. The fact that Bomb Man ended up trying to kill Guts Man was completely coincidental, although it did make my flavor-writing a bit easier.

2) Self-protecting doctor was necessary to balance against having an even-number of players and allow for a self-protecting lynchee.

Curious what you all thought of the setup as whole. I think it turned out pretty balanced and would like to run it again in the future. Thoughts?

@ note 1: That's pretty funny lol, and that's why flavor is never a full on indicator #lessons

@ note 2: I think the setup was fine for what it is. Lyncher is a hard role to play around sometimes, but I don't think doc needs to be self-doccing. That honestly ended up being a large part of my later scum read on TRG because I thought it was for sure fake.

Otherwise everything was as it probably should have been. Personally I can say I hate dealing with Govs after experiencing this game, but setup wise it was fine to have one (it just happened to be Zen this time...)

Honestly I think it was simply there was always somewhere more interesting to look, or at least for me that was true (can't speak for everyone). When you said you didn't want to lynch Rake until people had looked at options for the next day I checked off the "Gheb lyncher vs Rake" box as being not a high enough risk to stop the lynch for, with the understanding if we got another day I could re-examine the possibility of Ghebscum. That of course didn't happen as I was more focused on whether TRG was slipping as scum or flubbing as town along with Rake potentially playing lyncher directly to his meta.

I honestly think one of the most effective ways to play lyncher is simply to allow your lynchee to be lynched naturally and treat it more like a survival wincon. Which I think you did fine at. Rake gave you some nice play-style paranoia to work with to make it happen naturally given enough time, which is great because it means you don't have to be the first origin of the suspicion.

In hindsight I should have stated outright the doctor could protect themselves in the rules, this being an open setup and all. However, once you all started debating it, I thought stepping in to clarify might be interpreted as some kind of mod bias towards one side or the other. I decided that I would only clarify if I was asked, as I did with the randomly assigned roles question.

I still say Self doc is mad bad man, and you really shoulda Xat but w/e it wouldn't have changed what went down too drastically, i may have taken a closer look at gheb since he was my choice after TRG but meh. Can't be mad
