I went to an indie game event in Boston today. That took up most of my time.

If anyone still has questions for me, I've probably skipped over them considering the fact I've only been reading each page once. Please ask them again (preferably all on one page so it's easier to keep track of)

I think that it was Zalak that asked who I would vote for. I would've voted already if I were sure. I'm still stuck between Slick and Zalak.

The bulk of SlickWylde's posts contribute nothing to the discussion. If you ask him what his opinion is of someone, he will answer the exact same way EVERY TIME. What do you think of Generic? "He's probably scum but idk" What do you think of J? "He's probably scum but idk". He's obviously just been trying to seem townie for the entire day. Like I said earlier, he even makes posts just to say "this is confusing, let me think about this", which don't actually contribute ANYTHING, but lead us to believe he is a townie trying to work things out.

oh and slick, I still feel confident that you're scum but if you're town, I don't mean for this to be offensive! I just don't think you would post stuff like that as a townie, so I think you're scum. Like, those kinds of posts aren't inherently bad exactly, like, I can understand you don't always have time to analyze everyone in detail, and sometimes ya just post about the general state of your investigation.. It's just that under these circumstances, your actions have made me firmly believe that you are scum.

You gave 2 examples of people I wasn't sure about. But my position changed on j and I said he was scum, but you seem to ignore that. My issue is.. in this 3 town vs 5 scum situation, it's almost the natural response to say someone is probably scum, which is all you've really said about J. I don't think I've even heard your reasons for thinking J is scum.

I agree with you so much, but I worry my campaign against J's slot may be a weakness of mine. I ALSO REALIZE that... your reason for disliking J is something that I've already pointed out. Do you think you could try putting into words what it is about his replies that gives you a scummy vibe?

Sure. At first I thought he was legitimately just annoyed with you, but as he kept posting more, it started seeming like he was basically getting everyone to think little of you. Kind of like "I'm an experienced player, he is a child, don't listen to him." And honestly you made it worse by continuing your assault. You kept asking me, and I honestly didn't want to get in a brawl with J when it seemed like we were on track for lynching Koopa.

I've seen it happen several times where I ask J for a defense, he doesn't give one, and Rosa steps in to defend him, then he likes Rosa's post, which to me is scummy as for both of them, but especially for J.

It's been a consistent problem for the duo of J + Rosa.

I'm still dumbfounded by the fact that I'm the only one on J, because IMO, he's been nothing but scummy for the entire game.

I'm gonna look at something a little more specific right now though.

@ #HBC | J , you didn't think anyone would notice, but I noticed. You employed a pretty advanced scum technique this game. For lack of a better term, I'll call it the "I'm not scare" gambit. (I hope there's not already a name for this) The I'm not scare gambit is when you boldly accuse someone of doing a scummy action that you yourself have already done, in order to sneakily plant the idea that you are a townie who has no fear of being called out on the scummy action into the minds of the other players.

Let's say I'm playing as scum, and I've been bandwagoning just a little too much. If I've posted enough actual town content, I can try to pull the I'm not scare gambit by calling someone else out on bandwagoning. After I do that, people start to think "oh, he's not afraid of being called out on bandwagoning, so he probably just genuinely agreed with those people"

It's a simple as that, but of course... you're already familiar with this technique.

ah yes... OMGUS is the term I'm thinking of. You didn't seem very SCARE(d) to call me out on that one, despite the fact that I had been pressing you before you ever accused me. My first "accusation" against you was actually TWO IN-GAME DAYS AGO.

Near the start of the next day, I started pushing J a bit. Over time, as he became more difficult, and I started to get worse and worse vibes from him, my scum lean on him turned into a full on scum read. He claims I had a "back and forth" push on him, but the only "back" was when I said I didn't think he was a WW because of my Kary NK analysis. Not once did I say I didn't think he was scum. At the time, I wanted to focus on lynching WWs, because I considered to be more deadly, which I explained before J accused me of OMGUS. What I'm trying to establish here, is that this accusation, is not genuine. It is, IN FACT, 100% bogus. I'd been consistently pressing J for that entire game. J knew it, I knew it, and everyone who doesn't currently know it is free to re-read that day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you're setting some kind of trap, there's no reason for a town member to make an accusation that isn't genuine.

J's reasoning was fake, and he accused me only after I accused him. What does that mean exactly?

I also realized something.

I IC'd all three of Kary, Orbo, and Red Ryu's newbie games when they first started as well. It's so nice to see the community coming full circle in that.

And all new people to me seem to dislike my .gifs. Oh well, nothing new there, but it's my style.

J i like his thought process and feel like theres genuine excitement and th ought process to what hes saying and doing, plus i can follow along with it making logical sense
ryu i really only have his inactivity on him, and im trying not to bias against his tsyk stuff yet simply because its me involved

I think Spak sees the light. Like I said earlier, I should really see more from him before I can get a proper read in, but I haven't seen anything particularly bad from him. I like that he doesn't like J Might switch Spak with Orbo, but I feel like Orbo is kinda denying how shifty ThatSmasher's actions are, so that worries me a little.

@ TheKingofKoopas has been mostly inactive, but his really early posts in his rumble with RadicalRat and Generic left a nasty taste in my mouth. I want to see more from him before actually lynching him though. I'd feel confident in lynching either Slick or J though.

no, the newbie thing is basically exactly like I mean. Like I said earlier, we know nothing about ThatSmasher as a player. As I also stated earlier, I got the feeling that he was just trying to seem cool (which maybe he would have succeeded in... had he not been replaced ).

I was also defending him while he was still in the game, because I got the feeling he didn't really know how to defend himself, and wanted to see how he would be in a situation where he could just scum-hunt.

I don't buy that, because in my eyes, J was already shifty as , so that would have looked bad on you, and I think you're experienced enough to know that. AT THE VERY LEAST, J was not heavily town-read at that point.

Like I quite openly admitted earlier, my conquest to lynch J is probably a weakness of mine in a sense, because I will be prone to like anyone who agrees with me about J. I HAVE RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM THOUGH, and I'm gonna fight those feelings, don't even worry about it.

And yeah, now that you mention it, I do have something on you. Your reasons for your reads don't always feel legitimate, and sometimes you don't even post these reasons at all. You've been openly posting your reads, but the Rosalina I remember usually had something more to add in all of his posts. Like, you said Spak was starting to feel town for you, but you gave no reason why. Same with your Red Ryu read. If I'm wrong about this let me know, but I also can't recall you posting your reasons for thinking J is town.

oh, and i feel like there are multiple examples of this, but i could be wrong, as i can only think of one on the top of my head, but your accusations often feel illegitimate to me. lemme grab the example i thought of...
