Minecraft is now in feature freeze mode until after the game is released for bug fixing and optimizing.

The CPU leakage bug has already been corrected.

Notch said that the lack of a final boss is a "Bug" so, what is most likely the enderdragon, is going to be in the released version.

A creeper dropped on me from above and one-shotted me. I lost the best pick and second best pick on my SMP server from the death.

Stupid more damaging mobs.

I have to learn how to make high definition textures.

I just learned how to make normal ones. Not used to that many colors

my responses:
- Alpha
- 20-24
- SSP
- Redstone
- Skeleton
- Nether Update
- Chicken
- Wood, Wool, Brick, Sandstone
- Iron
- Boats
- 17-19
- Male
- USA
- Desktop (Mac)

I wonder why they didn't put Nether Update as an option, maybe because it isn't official and just a pre-release?

All of 1.9 is the same release, the adventure update. As well as 1.8

the huge percentage of USA players makes me wonder where this poll was held.

God damn. O_o; ...LOL at Creepers being the most-hated enemy. XD

I guess I'll answer it here... if anyone's curious.

I started with Beta version. 1.7 to be exact.

I'm usually playing Minecraft for 20-24 hours a week. I'm not ashamed to say it!

I usually play Single-player survival.

My favorite aspect of the game is building.

My least favorite enemy... G-Ghasts. Oh, god, I hate them...

My favorite update is, well, 1.8. It's the only major update I've been through. ^^;

I don't usually use food, since I tend to play on peaceful. If I don't, or on my real survival-themed map, it's usually bread since passive mobs don't respawn...

My houses are made of wood. Stone buildings of mine are almost always forts or something like that (Stone Brick :D). Brick is for special buildings, like libraries or churches (yes, someone like me has made churches).

My tools are usually stone... ^^' Eh, I tend to save most of my iron. On the map I play most, I have about a full stack of iron ingots laying around.

The bug I hate most is LAG. Too often do I end up placing two extra blocks, or cutting out two extra blocks. ARGH.

My age is 17-19. ...17. I'm a guy, I live in North America, and I usually play on a PC laptop.

o3o

I can't see how more people don't hate Ghasts, those things scare the crap out of me.

OMG I also always somehow place two extra blocks, it's annoying.

Because Ghasts are always in the nether, which is really hard to break into considering first you need to find diamond for a diamond pick and then somehow manage to get water down into the ground and then spend like half an hour mining like just 10 obsidian blocks to carry all the way up, which then you need something to start a fire with in order to finally start up the portal which gets you into the nether.

Basically Ghasts would be more annoying if they actually weren't just in the nether and appeared anywhere else in general. Creepers are the worst literally because they appear a million times more often where it actually matters and about two or three of them can destroy your house in seconds, and I'd know that because 3 of them spawned in my house once in the second day of my world and destroyed everything I had

Steadfast, I always get into the Nether with just 3 iron bars worth...

Use those bars to make a bucket, then mold your own portal by pouring the buckets of lava into place and having water solidify them into obsidian. ;)

I don't know if you guys have been playing the recent pre-releases where every mob is stronger and your swords are weaker, but creepers definitely suck in it. Had one drop behind me from above and one shot me when I was at full health and a bit over 50% armor.

The only other mob that comes as close to being as dangerous are blazes, and they turn into kittens when you have fire resist pots.

Creeper's aren't that hard.

Just dash into them.

Knockback enchantments also work well

Painterly Pack has updated to the latest prerelease. Need to make an awesome pack with it

Edit: HDPatcher now has Random Mobs as default. So I took Painterly pack and created a bunch of them to get all the different variations of mobs (They have 18 different types of pigs) and made files of them to use Random Mobs. Now I get some funny combinations such as Yeti zombies in the desert or undead cows grazing with polar bears and derp cows

Infinite Lava is in 1.9 prerelease 5.

It's not as reliable as infinite water, but it DOES work

What is it with prereleases all of a sudden? 5 prereleases? Holy crap now they're just being lazy and wanting our opinion first before trying hard

If I didn't see pony in the link title, I may have clicked it.

I'm going to assume that's a mod to spread the horse**** into the innocent minecraft .jar files.

Nothing is sacred.

They're doing prereleases because they're so close to the official launch. At this point, they're preparing for the official launch and just making the changes optional until the big update.

They're in hyperdrive for the launch.

This. This is the perfect explanation of what I thought too. :/

I kinda like the pre-releases...they let you test out the features that are going to likely be added before they commit an update. This way, if something is found that is game-breaking or something, not many will be affected by it.
