So, we got Saria as a trophy. Cool. Here's to hoping it covers more than the most recent games!

By that, I of course mean that we see more than Donkey Kong Country Returns, Skyward Sword and such for the console version.

Also, all I truly want to see is 3D versions of characters we haven't seen before, like most of the Wario/EarthBound/Mega Man/retro characters.

I think they covered older games in previous titles. I wouldn't know though, I don't sit there and look at them. I did back in Melee when the notion of trophy collecting was interesting. It felt unnecessary in Brawl though, the stickers were more intricate, probably easier to develop as well.

I honestly think that trophies are a detriment to the game, but people seem to enjoy them for some reason. So I guess it is good that they are coming back.
I know some people aren't enthused about them, and I understand why. But a detriment? What do they take away from the experience?

It is development time that I much rather be spent elsewhere. I am sure that they have a separate team working on them, it doesn't really matter though, those resources could be spent on innovating and actually adding something new to the franchise.

Hmmmm.... I see your point. Yet I am curious how much time these trophies take to develop relative to other aspects of the game. I suspect very little comparatively, but I don't have any knowledge or statistics to back that up.

I honestly hope that the difference is negligible. It is probably an over-reaction on my part, I can't imagine they take that long to develop.

Regarding trophies and the exclusive content, it's very likely that the only trophies both versions will have are the playable characters, items, Assist Trophies and Pokémon spawned by Poké Balls.

For example, Saria may be a 3DS exclusive, while Link or Skull Kid will be in both.

The Lottery was useless, an in-game shop would've made much more sense. People prefer it only because it's easier while the Coin Launcher has to be played for far too long to unlock everything. But if it had more variety and trophies/stickers came out more easily, it would've been nice.
Well yeah, I mean why shouldn't people prefer the more convenient option? As someone else said, there's just as much luck involved in getting a new trophy to show up in coin launcher, and it takes up way too much time to try and get the thing--time I'd much rather spend doing something else, like...I don't know, playing the actual game?

I already touched on this, but they should just bring Snag the Trophies back and have it take the place of coin launcher. Would anyone be opposed to that? The in-game shop is a not a bad idea either.

I kinda liked Ruto. It's probably because she was so flirty... and not because she was a fish. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!
OoT's secondary cast was almost completely female. A shipper's delight if you ask me. :troll:

Anyways, I was just a wee bit sad that trophies will be exclusive too, since I'll likely only get the 3DS version now. Here's hoping that the 3DS's trophy count exceeds Brawl!

I ship Malon and Link. I am not opposed to Saria, she is next in line. :awesome:

It probably will. I don't remember how many trophies Brawl had. But Kid Icarus Uprising had quite a ton of them. So I'm fairly certain the 3DS version wouldn't have too much trouble in having a good number of trophies to collect.

And yeah, OoT was shipping haven for many people. :p

But what I'd like to know about is the customization gimmick Sakurai's talked about.
At least He could tell us the general idea.

It obviously won't be the CDi kind since the fans would want him to to die for that. Not to mention the games themselves aren't canon by Nintendo standards. :troll:
I see what you did there you crafty little robot. ¦D

And that's still a part of Rule 34. Yaoi and Yuri are both boring anyway. XD

I was 8, I didn't know about the horrors of the internet when I was pure and innocent.
Really? I was already surfing through porn on the web at 6. Guess my innocence didn't last long at all. XD

I would enjoy Ganondorf a lot more if he had abilities and the personality as his CDi counterpart. A better taunt than the generic laughing would be him saying "You must die!". Not to mention the thunder hands would be a better forward Smash than dark ripoff of Falcon's flaming elbow.

No, the sadistic laugh that alludes to his sophistication IS way better than a generic villain line. No offense.

I know you would enjoy it but I just really don't want that to happen.

Not even Sakurai would go that far.

I think.
This is the man that turned an obscure Nintendo accessory into a playable character. This is the man that gave us the trainer from Wii Fit. This! is the man that turned an old handheld franchise and put it all! Into one, single, character... He introduced tripping, A full story mode, and yet, you still question?! What do you think?! Has this man ever made a "sane option"?!? Has he ever done something, that we, have, predicted?!? No! Never! Not, at, all! So why question anymore?!?! Huh? HUH?!?

...

Yea, he probably would.

He added Mario, that seems rational enough. He is coherent (at the very least).
