The modern Christmas is such a mishmash of things which is why countries like Japan and China have adopted more it in recent years where it has absolutely no cultural relevance. It wasn't a stab at anyone, it was just poking fun at the people who don't realize that the Church was vehemently against the celebration of Christmas less than 150 years ago and that the way we celebrate Christmas today is less than 100 years old.

Add in: Golden, did you just go meta? Oh lord...

the Church stamped that date to combat the other various religious holidays they deemed polytheistic. (like saturnalia.)

But now as you can see its becoming more and more commercial, and less celebrated by religious folk.

This is why its ironic, the very thing they were trying to combat has now become a part of it.

Like the Christmas tree for instance, it was actually a roman god way back when.

But I think we should drop this and wait for the pic, I just wanted to say something on the matter.

No butthurt was received haha, I myself am an agnostic apatheist. Anyhow, Christmas actually derived from some winter solstice pagan celebration and was adopted into Christianity later, and I coincidentally watched a video on the view of Christmas today, only around half of Americans actually see Christmas as a religious holiday and even those of another religion tend to celebrate Christmas. I think if the Christmas/religion discussion is to continue, it should perhaps be taken somewhere else. Not that it isn't important, or interesting, but this isn't the place for it.

:grin: Little Mac tomorrow would be epic.
It probably isn't going to happen. Though if we get Zelda this soon after a newcomer, I don't think anyone has the right to complain about a lack of new stuff lately. With Rosalina, Rainbow Road, and potentially Zelda, I would have to say Sakurai is being quite generous for the holidays.
