then the trophies are random. that settles it. another KI inspired POTD.

Damn, that trophy shop background had huge potential to accidentally spoil a character It took me a minute to realize the bottom right character was Sonic (I thought it was someone new haha).

EDIT: Unless if they're starters only, in which case that would mean ZSS, Yoshi, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Greninja, Mega Man and Sonic are all starters.

This mostly just spares the trouble of finding the last few random trophies, a process that was very obnoxious in both Melee and Brawl. As someone who always 100%s the single player, I welcome this.

Pic of the day. Here's the trophy gallery for the 3DS version. You can rotate the trophies by drawing circles on the bottom screen. Super Smash Bros. Brawl had tons of trophies, but rumor has it that the 3DS version alone may have more than Brawl. Looks like the Dr. Wily that we made from scratch for the 3DS version is on his knees in disbelief.

Here's something new--the trophy shop. If you're having a hard time getting certain trophies, why not just buy them? They sometimes go on sale, too

The fact that the 3DS version alone has more trophies than Brawl, and that the Wii U will most likely have more is hype inducing.

This must happen with music tracks as well.

Sorry bud, that's Villager yet again, people get em confused a lot. The top row's silhouettes are Megaman, Wii Fit Trainer, Zamus, Yoshi, and Villager, then on the bottom left we see Rosalina and Greninja, and at the bottom right there's Sonic!

Well, not really. Kid Icarus Uprising had it's own trophy mechanic that worked more like melee with it being random. Also, you couldn't buy weapons until you unlocked them, which is the opposite of this.

I was way off, but tonight was still really good. Trophy shop confirmed, trophy page seen alongside a new trophy, and confirmation of TONS of trophies in the 3DS alone.

The vast majority of those are probably smash run enemies too, i doubt many of them will show up as even trophies in the wiiu version.

Glad to hear about the amount of Trophies. ^^ And Trophy Shop sounds neat, though I will most likely earn them instead. Mostly.

Just hope there are plenty of very hard-to-get Trophies by doing other stuff. I want the collectables to last long. ^^

Huzzah! More incentive to earn coins. Earning them in the Lottery or Coin Shooter is all well and good, but I'm glad that there's a means of obtaining them that isn't based solely on luck.

Play coins are an option in addition to smash coins.

I want to point out that to buy these trophies you need Play Coins in the hundreds for each. Seeing as you need to earn all ten for about 2 weeks, it seems like this will have to be a last resort for trophies.

Edit: It seems like you'll also be able to use Smash Coins, which don't take very long to get. You won't need the Play Coins in the hundreds because that wouldn't equal the Smash Coins in value, so I think maybe 10 Play Coins for each trophy.

Regardless, Tuesday was still the best PoTD. Another Kid Icarus item to enrage the Smash community about "over-representation" and "Sakurai bias" on a day that everyone expected a veteran. Other than that, the item was nice and shiny, shiny is good. It also reaffirmed that I should give Fox a try, as long as I can pretend to be Rocket.

The reveal today was interesting to say the least, I was not expecting much as the reveals have slowed since Monday. However, the notion of a trophy shop has been something that I wanted for awhile. Everyone seems to be happy, so I can surmise that it was a good picture collectively. Perhaps a little boring; I digress, I am pleased and I can rest easy knowing that the coin launcher is gone.
