"Pic of the day. If you get caught in the Boss Galaga item's tractor beam, it will carry you away to the top of the screen. You can shoot it down, but it won't join you in battle for double the firepower."

It sounds like the beetle item in a different form...

Behind your eyes.
The picture looks like a sacrificial ritual practised by psycho-villagers.
Actually, it's a complex symbolic piece.

Donkey Kong represents Man, utterly subject to the whims of the Universe (the Galagans).

As an ape, DK is an embodiment of the unenlightened human. It's only by channelling childlike wonder (Villagers) that you can free yourself from the current of the Universe and transcend your limited perspective (represented by how DK is upside down, unable to see the world as it truly is).

Easily the weakest picture of the week so far, including with the caption. Whatever I guess, it's still new information and who knows, maybe Thursday and Friday will be filler and this won't look so bad.

Wait... the Villagers are praying and cheering for the fact that Donkey Kong is being abducted and going to be killed?

That has nothing to do with whether or not it's filler, if we get information on something we didn't know about before then it isn't filler.
My definition of filler is information that doesn't really matter

I'm sure you could gather SOME kind of information from every PotD

But a lot of that information doesn't matter, thus they are dubbed filler

SATAN CONFIRMED!!
And thus, it is through the great power of Satan that we have had the almighty Galaga and his mighty Villager followers brought down upon us to rid us of this damn, dirty ape. D¦

We should be thankful. ¦(

I was hoping for double characters, that was my favorite part about Galaga. Might have been too OP though. Oh well, we could still get the Cherry from SM3DW. Im satisfied with this.

Or maybe the pic is a reference to Galaga with the two Villagers representing the double Galaga Ship...nah that sounds stupid. You're right, it's obviously something more philosophical and existential

This is Sakurai we're talking about.

Of course his captions are laced with philosophical subtext.

I think you might have forgotten to include a troll face in your post. Unless you're being serious, that is. If that is the case, the S Flag was only an item in Star Fox Assault because Namco developed the game.

Oh, is the S Flag a Namco thing? I've only ever seen them in Star Fox Assault. My bad, sorry!

Okay, so Galaga thing is just it's own item, not an assist trophy or result of the special flag...
Well then what the hell does the special flag do...? Maybe it's like a replacement for CDs and Stickers? You just pick em up and if you collect them all... some cool mode or something? The only game I played with them present was Star Fox Assault and I remember unlocking Wolf as my reward, I think... Heh, maybe they'll unlock Wolf here too? JK. Really though, I'm ganna guess they're just a collectible you pick up to unlock some really cool thing.

Oh come now, don't get so upset over something so trivial.

It was a joke. I love how that's their shtick. Just some days it's not worth fighting for. Know what I mean?
A joke that swore. And that kinda imply's your serious. I wouldn't ever do it, but eh. (I would just put "Aren't funny")

Also it does censor dodge so...

So basically, it's been nothing but new info so far this week.

I like it. Continue this trend, Sakurai.:)

What if I told you that posting pictures with words that are normally auto-censored in them is considered censor dodging and against the rules?

All I did was google memes aren't funny. THen I picked a meme that said that. The joke was the hypocrisy. Forgive my rash decision.

What if I told you I'm sorry and didn't even realize that the word **** was auto censored. However I assume feigning ignorance won't be enough to achieve paradise. But are we really going to make a big deal of something so trivial?
