Sakurai might not even be doing these updates. He's gotta be in America in a few days. He might have left the boring stuff for someone else to take care of.

I actually quite like tonights pic. Brewster serving fresh coffee to his spectator friends. Its actually amazing me just how many Animal Crossing character cameos they are managing to fit in this stage, and we still haven't seen K.K. Sliders concert yet. Tomorrow will be the big picture. Something really cool. Something about a game mode maybe? Characters will be saved for E3 I think, but we could be pleasantly surprised.

I think this would have been a better picture to post after e3. It's hardly exciting, and that doesn't help hype up e3 in itself.

It's new information, so that's good in itself. Just not useful gameplay information as is. I was hoping for something akin to gameplay itself. Like a returning Assist Trophy(or a new one), etc.

I'd be fine with losing a Star Fox rep or two. It's a dead franchise and personally I never understood why Falco got in. So if we had to lose somebody I'd be fine with losing him, if his fans at least got him as an alt for Fox.

Yeah, the fact that most people actually knew who Falco was before he showed up in Smash and Lucas was an obscure nobody outside of the Mother cult until Brawl came around, but we won't go there as it's too off-topic.

Besides, look at that delicious coffee Brewster is pouring for us. :3

More like red, since Lava/Magma is the likely stage hazard. I mean, it shows it in itself in the background, so...

Of course, I would love if he did more than tease Ridley while doing a very poor job in showing what his role is. Honestly, the high amount of teasing makes it more likely he's playable at this point because of the fact that stringing along the fans with him(while making it so being a Stage Hazard was something too unimportant to do more than a quick update saying that) could cause too much critical backlash if he isn't playable. I remember Marvel VS Capcom 3 getting a lot of complaints for removing MegaMan for Zero. And still refusing to put him in even in the update. Ridley's in a similar predicament.

Keep in mind even a boss mode where the player controls him(he doesn't count as a regular playable so it doesn't even have to be a 3DS thing, but exclusive to the Wii U) would make fans happy enough. He'd keep his intimidating boss status while having a technical playable status.

He does make sense as a Stage Hazard, but he makes just as much sense as a playable boss or a regular playable character. There's just no way to tell. We'll actually find out soon enough thanks to the demo/tourney coming up, unless for whatever reason the Pyrosphere isn't playable.

Monday's fabulous sage update alongside its comment mentioning the E3 demo drew my hopes up a bit...
