A bit back, but I'm glad to see this linked, and I would love to see enemies pop out of crates again. Their unexpectedness, unique interactions, and ability to kill opponents at ridiculously low damage was so fun.

He predicted Wii Fit Trainer and Villager, that's something. Also Greninja was the 6th gen Pokemon, this leaker probably doesn't know all of the newcomers

#1, why would Pac-Man be an Assist Trophy?

#2, it was NOT a given that there would be a sixth-gen Pokemon. The Pokemon with the most support (besides Mewtwo) were from fifth gen, like Zoroark, Genesect, and Victini.

I also remember something noticing how it was " 3 Newcomers then Sonic" for Sonic's reveal. We've gotten three more newcomers since then and no Vets since the Direct.

To be completely honest, we got 5 characters in April, 1 of them being a newcomer. It's completely fine if you want to remain optimistic for a character this month, just don't be surprised if we don't get anything until E3.

We also got 0 characters in March mind you, which I feel at least some of the characters shown in the Direct were to make up for it.

The main point there is that Sonic was announced with a Direct, not a trailer. There's usually only Directs every two months, but Snake could just be announced out of the blue cause he's a stealth character.

While we got the two items from the Press Kit, they're vague at best. Unlike say the Polar Bear, they don't confirm much outside of "A" Mother rep. We have no idea if it's going to be just Ness or both boys. If Ness is a secret character much like he usually is, it makes sense, but that means Lucas is probably cut if we don't see him 'soon' I feel.

The Orne and the Ultimate Chimera while very similar are completely different in execution since Orne is a OHKO by touching it and the UC isn't fatal until it bites, which he alludes to in the Miiverse post by the Orne being more dangerous.

I do wonder if there's anything hidden in the Japanese text in how it's worded, much like Pyrosphere's infamous "Trauma" wording.

Coming from a Ridley supporter, I'd probably call it a small hint. Sakurai could have simply emphasized Orne's power, but he went go a comparison to the Chimera. While it did make sense in context of talking about OHKO hazards, why would Sakurai want to discuss the Orne at all and compare it to the Chimera? Proximity to Mother's Day is notable, but ultimately likely not a factor.

So call it is a small point in Lucas's favor.
