So ive written an open letter to Genesis about mii legality, and id appreciate if anyone wanted to voice some support in the comments.

https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/3ui7j8/an_open_letter_to_genesis_3s_tos_re_miis/
The thing is that r/smashbros hates Mii's with passion. Why?
a) Top player said they should be banned so they should be banned
b) same as above
c) same as above
d) "IT AIN'T FAIR!"
e) Time reasons
f) Ignorance

It is sad that one of the main Smash Bros cites hates blindly something. I really hate when people bring up good old Helicopter Kick Brawler argument... Oh you have no idea how many times I have heard that argument.

Anyways great post mate. I think I will pass this time when it comes to commenting the post. Some people already wrote some great arguments... Sadly most of them are ignored and downvoted into oblivion.

Reddit acts cringeworthy, which is why I rarely bother with it.

Not getting reddit on your side is one of the worst things a person can do. Ignoring it also a mistake. There's a HUGE player base there that at one point was heavily behind Miis and one of the biggest reasons people attempted to even experiment with the character legality.

Unfortunately rulesets are decided often these days by popular opinion. Unfortunately again so few people play as a Mii folks don't even care. TBH one of the best things that could happen to Miis is more 1-1-1-1 exposure by folks, actually winning events and such. People might wanna see then what they could do unrestricted.

It'd be better if the 1111 sets were viable above the local level. Like I could probably swing through a south NJ local and take 1st with 1111 Swordie, given I figure out how to fight RosaLuma, but nobody'll care about that. And in their restricted state, they lose to the tryhards' lord and savior Shiek too hopelessly to win a major.

Not to mention if anyone /did/ win a major with a Mii, people would complain that the characters were overpowered and just push back for a ban again. I really don't understand why these characters get witch-hunted so badly.

There's gotta be some way we can increase Mii Fighter visibility to get more of the community on our side...

That seems counter-productive lol.

"Oh, so you won a tournament with a 1111 Mii? Then why would you want the other moves, you clearly don't need them."

I haven't looked in the thread, am I going to find what I expect that I'm going to find?

if you are expecting to find anti mii mental hurdles and downvoting then yes you'll find what you're looking for

So my calculations were correct, then.

I feel like I should do another long-winded rant again

So i had a thought. VG is running Pound 2016, and VG's Xanadu weeklies allow one set per mii as picked by their local players.

Its entirely possible they may use a similar rule for Pound so maybe we should all start agreeing on a set we'd like to see at Pound.

Edit: VG Also ran Super Smash Con and Miis were 1111 there :/

God, the comment section.... I wanted to die while reading it and didn't even read half of it...

Anyway, we can also aim for TX and FL, both are very receptive to different ways to play, the former has a large player base and the latter seemed to have liked MLG and their players seem cool with everything that happened there.

Isn't MVG league in FL and do they run the MLG rule of any moves, guest size? I could've sworn they've done it a few times.

Well MVG is running Shots Fired 2 which'll have free miis(so i'll be going~)

Also if MLG decides to run any more smash events in 2016, I'm sure they'll continue to support free miis.

Calling it right now: There will eventually be mental gymnastics done arguing against it.

the worst so far is just someone bringing up smogon-style banning

And my issue with that is that if Puffster never killed a guy with HCK at 40 or whatever, nobody would ever think ANY of the mii specials could even be remotely OP(and HCK isn't, even.)

Helicopter kick isn't any more busted than boost kick, only difference is that you die from the sides and not off the top at ridiculously low percents.

It is rather funny to see all Anti-Miis complaining about HCK and yet they are all ok with ZSS killing at very low % with BK. Double standards much, eh?

This is exactly my point lol. At their absolute best a Mii special a almost as good as one of the top tiers' specials, and at worst they do nothing but improve the versatility of a character.

In other words, I got my GC adapter from amazon. Not an offcial nintendo one, but it works. It has a switch on the back that allows it to be compatible with PC's.

While messing with the controls, I learned I can somehow separately input a shield or grab mapped to the same button because of how it's worn out (and muh Z button is busted):

  • Le edit: R button is set to shield. If I lightly press it, I shield. If I hold it down, I grab. If I mash it, my shield comes up for a spilt second and then immediately goes for a grab. it's weird.

So i'm thinking of starting up a Swordfighter power ranking of sorts on my stream.

Dedicate one day a week to training/exhibition matches between the Swordfighter mains on wi-fi, and have like a top 10 leader board where we can challenge eachother to move up ranks. Except maybe not me, because i run the stream so i should just be the refferee or something idk.

But yeah. Swordfighter Dojo Training Day on my stream, sound fun?

I want to participate but my internet is atrocious. It's a shame.

Really wanted to show off some mindgames I've made up using this character.

it makes pidgezero_one pidgezero_one 's destruction of pro ban arguments more amusing when you think its coming from a Jigglypuff with a lenny face
Pretty much everything I do is coming from a Lenny face puff

I routinely have sex with another puff main so this is mfw all day
