I was at the July 21st tournament in Canton, I have the hand blisters and sore back to prove it.

Won't be there this weekend as we have a tournament in Dallas that I'll be working. MGC has 4 tournaments going on simultaneously around the country- Little Rock, Salt Lake City, Flint, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Lansing and Norfolk will be next after this weekend!

Ricardo, the tournament manager, is the man though... he'll be running all the Michigan tourneys.

It really isn't, unless you intend to win the trip to Dallas. The TVs for these qualifiers have around 10 frames of lag, and it's single elimination.

However, I see some names like Laijin and FASTLIKETREE going to the Dallas nationals.

btw to the ppl wondering whether or not to go to MGC, the TVs are REALLY REALLY bad. I went to the one in dallas and holy **** u cant do anything with this lag it's unbelievable.

on the flip side first place gets a lot of money so the people who actually have a good chance of winning mgc finals like dope, tink, mathos, CK, darkrain, kish, vidjo etc. etc. you get the drill lol, you guys should probably think about going to one of these.

only problem is each city only has 4 qualifying tournaments where only 1st place is qualified, so only 4 of you all can make it to the finals.

but also keep in mind mgc finals will have NORMAL non-laggy tvs. they know about the problem. the only reason they can't change to regular tvs now is due to "fairness" reasons. like, apparently they have to keep the setups the same for everyone so nobody gets an "unfair" advantage. but they will change to regular tvs for finals so dont worry about that.

1st place MGC finals gets $3000, 2nd place gets $1000

i just got back from the GR one at the 60th and kalamazoo McDonalds i didnt have any problems with the tv's being crappy or laggy and made it to the semi's where i got ownst by a falco not sure who played him but he wrecked my pikachu and mario =D... much needed practice the only downside was u had to stand the whole time witch was aight but after 3 hours of free play and another 2 of tourney it started to get to you =D

I'm glad i practiced on Widescreen laggy TVs. My flashiness wasn't impacted very much. So to all you: TV JOHNS! Should've warmed up on them (if not practiced ahead of time). @dope: i'm sure you've played on worse TVs. For instance, some of the tvs in the friendlies room at FC were worse.
