Discussion of the Metagame is great and all.. but what does this have to do with him being in Brawl. The in-game stats have NOTHING to do with how they fight in brawl. They sort of effect it..but they don't control it like they do in the Pokémon RPGs. This is why Pichu can kill Mewtwo. And why Jigglypuff PWNS everything.

Anyway I do think Mewtwo will come back. I hope he is in the story mode. Maybe working from the Subspace Army. Once you defeat him he is playable. If he was in some of Cut scenes I think that'd be awesome.

We must have Mewtwo in Brawl, he is the only true floaty + teleport character in game. Without Mewtwo, we lost a fighting style in Brawl and that is always a no, no, for a gamer if anything else....like his coolness, and importance from the pokemon series.

I think serebii is better but that's just me.

I just thought it is weird that you averaged them cause almost every website adds them and whenever people talk competitively they talk about added base stats not averaged.

Adding them up makes no difference, they all reach the same number, that's why they have the same average.

Yea i realize that Im not an idiot in math Im just saying that most other sites use added base stats and not averaged, but if you want to do it by averages go ahead.

One on one mewtwo can win. But that's not how matches are. Mewtwo has to be able to switch into one of Rayquaza's attacks. Which he cannot do. He might survive if he switches into a dragon dance but then he will get obliterated by Rayquaza's outrage. Mewtwo will lose against Rayquaza.

Arceus has base 120 hp and 120 in both defenses. Also the most used plate for Arceus is ghost or bug.

Water pulse is 60 base power
Lugia has 106 base hp, 154 base special defense, and recover... Mewtwo is not going to break through that.
No one leaves arceus un-plated and even then aura sphere will not ko arceus.

I know that they are equally as powerful either way you do the math. What were you implying earlier about education cause it sounded to me like you think Americans are stupid? If that's true that's not cool.

Am I the only one who doesn't use Ubers? I use them for in game stuff like the first run through of the Pokémon league, but other than that I don't use them. I have EV trained a few for use in the Battle Revolution in game battles ( Masters battle is soo hard once you get to set 7). I don't like using them online, or against others. I only use Mew as a Skill swapper for my Slaking, and because I like him.. But I could replace him with Hypno or another Pokémon easily.
Anyway I don't see the point of arguing over who has the higher base stat.

What do you guys think Mewtwo's Final Smash would be? I know this has been discussed but it's a better topic than who is stronger, Mewtwo or Aruceus.

I personally would like to see his FS be something like a psychic tornado which envelopes the entire stage with a whirlwind of telekinesis. The debate over Mewtwo and Arceus is a tough one though cause it could go either way and depends on multiple factors, but I still use my Mewtwo more than any of my other pokes including Arceus.

@Pluvia: Don't let an episode of 20/20 be the judge of your view on American Education cause that would just be ignorant to think that all American schools are like that.

I think a nice final smash idea could be Dream Eater where Mewtwo pulsates blue or purple energy and anyone caught gravitates toward them while they have their sleeping animation... They take damage constantly and mewtwo loses damage steadily.

Alright, Mewtwo is optimised as a special sweeper, so let's assume SpecA favored, with EVs in SpecA and Speed.

If Aruseus is equally focused on Special Defence as Mewtwo is at Special Attack, He will take 190-223 damage from a 1x, STAB Psychic. With Either Ice Beam or Aura Sphere, a 2x effective attack does 222-261 damage, usually enough to 2-shot Aruseus with HP EVs.

Note that these are best-case scenerios for Aruseus.

i dont think i said in one hit. i've never seen arceus used though, so i don't know how people use him competitively at all. i don't even know what mewtwo's most common moveset is.....

anyway, mewtwo would be good in the subspace emissary. they could give him his armour as an explanation as to how the army got control of him......i wuvs that armour.
