IMO all they would have to do to Diddy to make him a little bit more reasonable is nerf his kill power then he would be like Sheik, fast, but has to work a little harder to take the stock. I don't think Diddy is Meta Knight bad but he is a little too strong for how fast he is. Hopefully this patch will address that, and maybe this is too much to ask for but a little more hitstun and reduce the safety of rolling which would help the meta develop and open up possibilities for new more interesting combos.

:4link: - Give him back his spin attack from Melee! And I will never NEVER understand why Bowser is faster than him.
:4wiifit: - Longer smash attacks range, faster Salute the sun travel speed, MORE range for grabs, less lag after smash attacks.
:4robinm: - Less time to recover the Levin Sword, faster Arcfire travel speed, more grab range. His up throw could use some kill power as his back throw.
:4lucina: - Buff her smash attacks... and add her yukata alt and her critical hit image for the final smash :(

Amen to that. This may not sound like a big deal, but even when you do a Fair on someone and they shield, they don't even flinch away. If it needs to lag, let the opponent be pushed back a bit. OR lag reduced. I see other far less characters push DK back when I shield but when he does it (big muscles) it is like nothing happens. A little bit of running speed would be useful against heavy projectile users.
Last one on my wish list is reduced lag after a throw, especially a cargo throw. I mean, the whole idea is to follow up after a cargo throw. So hard to do other than one nicely times Uair.

For DK, I would say a small increase to running speed, increased knock back against shielded hits and less lag after a cargo throw in any direction.
For the KB, how many times I have seen a "weaker" character push me with a Fair while I am shielded, but big muscle DK doesn't make anyone flinch when they are shielded. This combined with heavy lag is easy combo food for opponents.

Villager's up special give it a few less seconds of being able to fly around and someone wanted his slingshot weakened.
Diddy Kong's Hoo_Hah (No explanation needed)
Yoshi needs more ending lag.
Sheik reasons stated above.
Sonic needs lower kill power.
Some people want Luigi's downthrow to anything combo fixed I think its fine lets move on

Greninja cause he's a piece of garbage.

Marth's tip actually being a tip hit

Give Link something other than spammy boomerang and arrows and make him faster than bowser dammit.
Make Falco how he was in Brawl
Make Robin faster in running and recovering his items (according to my friend)
Zelda's reasons were stated above.
Fix Pac's grab animation.
Buff Ganon's grab range and make him have the melee running animation cause that was boss
Make Ike faster (For me please)
Give DK less lag

Holy crap that's a lot of buffs.

You "will" need the next update to download Mewtwo, so it'll be impossible to use it in the earlier updates; 1.0.5 and earlier are incompatible with Mewtwo.

Dr.Mario: Cape Stall, Decreased Landing Lag & Ending Lag on Fair, 8% Pills ( Melee Pills )
Game&Watch: decrease the lag of most of his moves, Melee Dtilt damage & Knockback.
Meta Knight: He's fine, just undiscovered.
Wii Fit Trainer: Increased Range on most of her moves
Donkey Kong: Same as G&W
Kirby: REAL Combo ability out of a grab.
Jigglypuff: Decrease landing lag of Bair, increase Rest power just a little bit.
Ness & Sonic: Nerf possibly everything that makes them very noob friendly.
Little Mac: He's fine too
Zelda: She deserves her bottom tier.
Ganondorf: Same as Zelda
Marcina: Same as the two mentionned before.
Falco: Decrease lag of Laser & bring back Melee Bair
Samus: Melee Nair, decreased lag overall
Palutena: Her best customs are now default
Diddy Kong, Sheik, Yoshi, RosaLuma: Idc honestly, but just nerf them for the sake of them being top & unhealthy to the top tours of Smash 4, as many ppl think.

Bring back Melee Air Dodge too.

Melee Air Dodge is much better as it makes the game more offensive, allows the existence of techniques, and turn the game into a more creative game in terms of combos.

Airdodging is a very punishable option at high level play, though. Also, no airdodge into the ground = free landing punishes/trading >_>. Smash4 airdodge is fine imo.

More endlag on Dthrow would be all of a nerf Diddy needs in my opinion.

Custom balance would be VERY nice, but I don't see it happening.

But you realise how much that would change the game from what it is now? I'm pretty sure the only thing that the airdodges did in Melee were give the ability to wavedash and made it borderline impossible for certain combos to be escaped from by some characters. That is certainly not creativity, it's making the game more rigid. The wavedash tech probably wouldn't even work due to the landing lag from airdodging in this game.
There are better ways of making the game more offensive, trust me. For example: shield-stun could be tweaked.

I do like the idea of air dodging being limited to just once until you land. Other than that I am ok with it.
So I am clear, what exactly does shield stun mean? Is it if you get hit hard while shielding, you have lag in making a move afterwards? Or is that shield is lost more quickly?

Also, for the truly heavies (bowser, DK, Ganon, etc), some light armor against those quick projectiles would make a little sense. They are easy to spam with things like megaman's shots or villagers slingshot and since they are such big targets, it is so hard to get around. I mean, why he so strong if it doesn't help you tank through a little bit? Of course, take damage, as that is the trade off. I guess a little similar to little Mac where if he is at zero percent, he just plows through attacks, but at a smaller scale for super weak attacks that disrupt approaches.
Thoughts?

I can see that working... but what I really wish is that they tried to limit how much you could do at a certain time. I like the mechanics of Link's boomerang, you miss you have to wait for it to come back, but the arrows and Villager's slingshot... not so much as there are countless noobs who just spam that like it's their birthright.

Maybe for projectiles Villager has to find a stone to reload his slingshot instead of having countless ammounts or something to make it not as spammy.

Megaman's metal blade can just come back when it despawns and you can hold it until death, same with Pacs.

Zelda's side special isn't even good, but people spam it and with its terrible range, it's hard to spam.

Villager's fair is fine. Remember his isnt a special but its part of his default moveset that isnt broken.

Buff meta knights range so it matches the hitbox, anyone know the pain of using MK while fighting a expert Link/Toonlink/Ganondorf player?

Buff Greninjas ending lag for his water shuriken by little frames, and fix his Fsmash hitbox to over a little bit of his water strike

Anyway, I'd like Ness to have some lag reduced on his down-air... And maybe Diddy Kong have less damage/knock back on up-air, and make f-air less safe.

As frustrating as that Monkey is, I'd hate to see him reduced to trash.

I've been working for like the past half an hour on my opinion between characters, and I can say that I also agree with AreJay25 here over how Diddy will still be good, and only have a minor nerf. However I don't see him being the same threat as he is right now, the day before the patch.

I predict that peoples biases and desires for certain buffs and nerfs wont happen, causing lots of salt and whining. Once certain top tiers are barely touched, and certain mid tier characters take severe nerfs guarantee people will start crying lol.
XD I'm only speculating myself on what seems like would happen, but overall it's still only speculation on my part, and I acknowledge that.

I'll show you what I'm speculating if you'd like.

Yeah i obviously want being completely serious. I would love to see perfect improvements with balancing, more intelligent gameplay, and other stuff that I know wont happen.

Is it okay to post something very long on my speculation here? Or should I not? I've been looking over characters in my eyes, I've taken in opinions from others, and I've been curious to see what others were to think.

Edit: I haven't finished it entirely, but I got a lot of it done.

Also, the Knee of Justice NEEDS less lag. It's understandable that is hard to hit, but that's some hardcore lag there.
Yes I agree... I like Melee's cool down and hitbox for it, but alas... it will only be in Melee.

I am intensely remembering the cheap kills ;-;.
