I started off strong here and then he adapted. I ended up losing this set. I got a bit overzealous with Nairs and a few other moves. I also really just need to start practicing DIing that move again. I played alright but I was said about how I was outplaying him the entire set and then lose my stock to Boost Kick. It's literally how I lose to every ZSS. Any other advice would be nice.

I lost to him in the most idiotic fashion last time so I was happy to get the chance for a rematch. I stopped falling for dumb baits and took it slower. As a result, I win 2-0 here. Advice is always welcome as I still hate this MU. I just don't fear it anymore.

Word to the wise: lame Falco out. Falco's approach is limited to: walk, run, jump, short hop (backwards to bait for Bair punishes), and falling Uair. That's pretty much it. A rookie Falco charging in is going to telegraph a dash attack or dash grab the moment he steps forward. Falco's much slower than you and you have no obligation to approach him when Blaster is so damned slow it's hilariously easy to punish and he risks so much for little reward. Falco's fast and strong moves just begs people to get close to him rather than forcing him to get close to you. Oh, and try to never be behind Falco.

A couple things about the ZSS match:

• You baited airdodges quite nicely in the first game (eg. at the very end), but you stopped doing it in the other two. Like he airdodged your Shuttle Loop after DA a lot, he was trying to do it every time rather than Down-Bing or whatever, even baiting it and whiffing would have made him insecure about it and forced him to mix it up.
• At the end of the last game he was using and charging Paralyzer a lot to set you up for damaging combos so he could bring back the game. If you read one and DCaped his ass he would have lost, especially towards the end as his % built up even further and you had rage.
• Not sure about this one, but maybe sometimes you went for riskier punishes than necessary, for instance I noticed sometimes at mid-high %s you hard-punished with just a DA which could lead to Shuttle Loop, but he was airdodging those a lot and a simple Tornado would have done similar damage.

But yeah, other than that just practice DIing Boost Kick lol, you did die off the top almost every time. The ZSS guy in the matchup thread said that when hit from the ground, you want to DI directly down or down and in, depending on how close you are to the blast zone. The one where you got caught in the air you should have done down and away of course.

This was from yesterday. Part of the first match wasn't recorded but most of that game and the others are intact. Anyway, game 1 I just kept letting him juggle me. Resulted in getting bodied. The next few games I was more conservative about my movement and I started edgeguarding well. This is what I allowed me to bring it back. Proud of this win. Ksev and Katakiri go back and forth while I always came close to winning but always fell short. I'm focusing really hard on improvement.

I don't know much about playing rosa but, not gonna lie, you played pretty damn impressively. Were you approaching the matchup with a different mentality? What do you think pushed you so far against Ito and Tyrant?

i was more willing to let mk sit at 130+ and be more confident in my ability to wall until i kill with a chip attack (nair etc) instead of trying too actively to kill him before i die to a rage combo. it's really taxing and i faltered in that sense in the last two games against tyrant but that's all rosa can really do in that MU i think. i got 2 good "risk" kills where i drop fair to beat drill rush (one on ito game 3 and one on tyrant game 2, which i had to convert into a longer -> successful edgeguard) but other than that i was only killing off a free punish or something like nair.

the set with ito is a bit of a special case because he had been at my house the night before and we played the mu for like 3 hours so the options we were picking were a bit more tailored for each other than vs tyrant.

the MU is still stupid but im trying to look at it as an opportunity to force myself to play at a higher caliber

How were the matches at your house compared to that set? Would you say you were typically playing better or worse and would you say Ito was typically playing better or worse? You played amazing that set btw. Matchup looks really hard for Rosalina.

At 40:00 I play Winner's Finals against Pit.
At 46:48 I play the 3rd match of winner's finals where my opponent picks Robin. I lost that match but then won the next one, so I learned a few things but I'd like any additional info about the MU.

Grand Finals at 1:08:10 starting against Wario.

At 1:18:15 it's against Toon Link, where I'd also appreciate any info. (That was game 4. My opponent had to leave before game 5. We unofficially played game 5 a few days later and I won in T&C, applying a few things I learned). Toon Link's offensive options are limited when holding a bomb since he can't do smashes or grabs. In game 4 I was in the air a few times to avoid grabs and Usmash when in reality TL couldn't do that when holding a bomb. I changed that later for game 5 (not recorded).

Damn!! The cockblocking so real, that kill at 0% made me cry!! Good thing he found a gap to get in and did the same later and more than one time, Rosa deserved it lol ;D
Looks like getting in is a real pain, I remember that I have done Uthrow kick Luma out of there lol, the thing is getting the grab, and I don't even know how the new patch affects that. Maybe Fthrow is another good option because of how fast it is so it'd be somewhat harder for the player and/or Luma to punish?

I've been wondering why when Rosa used her recovery he didn't go offstage for some free damage. At high % he chose to do Bair, which I understand why he did it, but at lower percent he didn't go for the free damage or chose Dair instead of Nair. Is Nair that bad of an option for that situation? I've used it everythime I've played against a Rosa(Brawl school) and works pretty good. I'd love an explanation :')

I really loved all of these, thanks for sharing warionumbah2 . Oh, and all those I just didn't really understood why, and were just ideas I got. Still Ito and probably everyone here is way better than me, so there must be something you all know that I don't

Leo was using Utilt confirms since the Mr R jazz, the stream he was recently on(2 weeks ago) had him using Utilt to shuttle loop then Utilt after the FF bair to Dtilt lock. Where you been tyro??
