I love jab in this game especially considering how useless it was in vBrawl.
No, his ****ty jab wasn't even useless.

meta knight is everything
he's all you ever -shot-

Well anyway, I tried this character out. I think it's a tad excessive to have him lose all of his jumps after using his B moves. And the whorenado should probably have a tad longer duration or something. But, hell. I'm horrible with him. Those are just the things I thought were strange. I'm sure he has a lot of potential though.

Seriously, me trying this character was a spectacle to watch. I kept trying to Dair edge guard and dying. Lolbrawl.

feels so great to hear Meta Knight Da Bess on the victory screen again. Thank you PMBR for adding him. If only for that reason.

SO if anyone wants to see broken knight, just look here. I will edit this post to post Plup's performance of the character for all to see. Some of the lower tags gets messed up. All of the MK being played is plup, unless the tag ABOVE the character says otherwise.

EDIT:

So, since I haven't had a chance to watch those yet, what are some good ways to combo into Dair? I like that move for ledge cancelling. Helps me get to the ground faster and continue my assault. Though my favorite thing is when I'm just missing. You know. Not even trying to land a hit. Slashing at empty space. Doing similar tactics in the same location-shot-

Not sure if srs.

Anyway, figured out how to get his down B to come out the fastest. Thank you, C-stick, for being right below the B button. I've gotten fairly decent with him. Just need to get a solid combo game going and work on my spacing.

Drill rush ledge hog is like an adorable kitten after you've dumped a jar of mustard on it accidentally because it likes to be too damn close while you're making your sandwiches.

Why, you ask? I have no ****ing clue. But it's awesome.

Edit: I seriously want to watch those MK matches but I HATE my grandparents' internet. It loads like 20 seconds then stops. Never to resume. =_= This is obnoxious. Firstworldproblem

I don't understand how Mario's Nair destroys MK. Maybe you meant Dair, because his Nair gets heavily outspaced by a ton of MK's moves.

I think Mario is highly overrated period and I wouldn't be surprised if MK won that MU because Mario didn't have great approaching tools in neutral or because he lost speed/range trades overall.

good god Project M Meatknight is super fun yo. I'm sad he doesn't have his brawl Dair but I guess that would maybe be too much huh. His down B being usable probably makes up for it.

MK's Downb is so freaking fast now. It's actually a kill move too. If you use the C-Stick Immediately after the DownB is inputed, the slash will come out instantly and he will still move a good amount of distance.

Played 2.6 for the first time recently, so I might be light years behind everybody, but here are my impressions.

Tilts are all really good for setting things up. D-tilt is just awesome. F-tilt seems a little bit unintuitive to me (something about the combination of speed and hitstun is surprising) but an important tool nonetheless.

Aerials game isn't as good as I thought it would be. U-air is good for what it is. D-air is good but should have less startup lag. N-air hitbox is a little bit sucky; the strong inner part is good but the weak spinning part is not useful, just sort of gets in the way I've found. (I might have the specifics wrong because I haven't played the game extensively, this is all from memory.) B-air is disappointing.

His techchasing game is really good. His quick initial dash and long dash grab make it really easy to cover massive amounts of space. D-throw is excellent for knocking people down. I wish his dash attack was a bit easier to combo out of, but that might end up centralizing his playstyle too much.

Weight and falling speed and lack of vertical recovery are all kind of working against him, may ultimately determine whether or not I try to learn him seriously.

It's a decent Bair, but for being as slow as it is I would like to maybe see it auto cancel smoothly

I just don't see it. When I play meta about 80% of my kills are with bair. Between his bair and his nair, his aerial game is insaneeee (not to mention dair and fair, and uair. he's just so good in the air!)

Meta's design is perfect. He still has tons of good aspects without making him god tier. I hope they don't make any major changes to him.

mk's uthrow is awful, if they DI it right you get no followups at all

dthrow and bthrow are his only useful throws really, fthrow is super situational and you can only get a good punish if they DI it badly

dair is also bad and super situational, but i guess it has good reward for when you actually land it

I wouldn't say Uthrow is awful.
It's decent enough for a mixup.
when dthrow gives you guaranteed followups at any percent with any DI or tech choice and bthrow mixes up the DI to give good followups when they DI correctly for dthrow, uthrow is just not worth using
the animation is also wayyyy long enough to DI on reaction, whereas bthrow isn't really

if you were that worried about being interrupted you wouldn't be trying to teamcombo

if i got a grab and had to get rid of it fast, i'd just bthrow, uthrow is still more punishable than dthrow overall since you also have a massive flag telling your opponents you're about to be vulnerable, and then at least 20-30 frames of endlag

Uthrow seems to work okay against spacies at specific percents. You can get a dair from it. Still kinda sucks though
