I had read somewhere on MeltyBread forums long time ago that one of the requirement for a release on PSN is that the game should be atleast available in 720p and that they would have to redo all the sprites or somethine

No. One of the requirements is that they would have to re-code the game because ringwide (arcade board) -> PS3 doesn't overlap like it does with windows (and therefore X360).

There's nothing wrong with having less than HD graphics considering the kind of actual crap games out on consoles lol.

That and BB already runs native 480p \o/.

I used to play H-Ryougi in AA, and V. Akiha in AC.

I dunno who I'm gonna pick up this time around.

I'm sorta disappointed at the atmosphere of top 8 given off by the melty community. It gave off the impression that this game is horribly unbalanced and everything is cut and dry. I was disgusted by Bellreisa's commentary (if only he was drunk, at least his trolling would've been actually funny like NECX's).

I really liked that the community stepped up to attend this one tournament for the Japanese players. But if you're gonna do live trolling commentary, you do it on the private stream and not the main broadcast. I'm willing to bet that the top 8 stream for melty (2000+ viewers!), bellreisa and some melty stream monsters turned off a lot of people from trying the game. There was like one person in chat that tried to tell people how it really is but he was probably washed away by the trolling.

The commentary was worse than Dogy + Prog on Armada vs Hbox. Ugh.

His serious commentary isn't actually even that serious. I very much prefer him being drunk. I actually really liked his NECX doubles commentary just because he was like the hype machine (sorta like HMW and phil for smash).

Godsgarden, the same people that did SSF4 and BB earlier this year, has announced they're gonna do a Melty tournament! Hopefully we'll see all the big names attending too.

The game really needed a boost after the recent HydraGP tourney last year.

Oh well, I'll keep playing since it's actually a good game (although the balance at top play is starting to urk me in the same way Melee's top does).
