It is the most hilarious April Fools joke ever! When I logged on this morning at work I almost died!WTF is with the shaq avatars damn -_-
Oh em geeeeeeee! I forgot all about that! I do remember looking at it and not finding anything that could've caused the sound to get cut short the way it did... It was an issue with the entry sfx right? And... something else? Send me things again and I'll look at 'em when I can!uh Amazarommu, sorry to bother but, what happened to the Samus thing i sent you? :T
I do actually agree with this. Her voice is too low. Not sure why that was allowed... BUT! To fix it! Extract all her voice files. up the decibels a bit, plug back into .brsar, export .sawnd file. Add to SD Card in appropriate folder. Done! There's also another thing you could do but that... that would require way more explanation and tutorial than I'd care to... and also the above mentioned way is eas.... well no it's not necessarily easier... easier to explain lol. I'll increase her voice whenever I get around to doing the Melee-esque version of her sfx.Amazerommu, I have a question. How does one raise the volume of a character's voice? I would like to do this for Zero Suit Samus because she speaks way too quietly in Project M. I can barely hear her speak when she taunts.
Also I haven't forgotten about this! I've just not had the time to mess with it and test it! I'll see if I can't make time within the next week! (Also... admittedly this is partially due to Dragon Age Inquisition.... Nobody told me it would do the things it has done to me...)uh Amazarommu, sorry to bother but, what happened to the Samus thing i sent you? :T
Hmmmmm... Well that's what this whole thing is trying to fix. See below:Just noticed that the sound Ness makes after finishing his jab combo blatantly cuts out and makes a click noise. I think that could do with being fixed.
Maybe if enough people ask them, they'll finally put out a way to fix this issue.(y) <-- I wish that thing worked here... Why is there no thumbs up emote?
It won't of course.
... I'll just continue doing what I do... and hope that @ Riddlrr , or anybody really, can provide me a way to fix that annoying popping that occurs after editing some .sawnd files. Seems kinda lame my ideas can be taken for the better of someone else's project, but we can't get an already known solution for a somewhat common coding issue. It would really make my life so much easier lol. I could do even more stuff with the little bit of room in Mewtwo's .sawnd file to bring him closer to his Melee self. It would also make improving the sound quality of the modz overall a bit easier... Imagine a flawless looping Ocarina Taunt, no popping? I'd be able to fix vPM Link taunt then. All... I... need... is... a... fix!
PMBR HALP! Err... plz?
Also: Melee Bass with echo? Nobody's answered that question yet lol. It would be really easy to do... like.... stupid easy... and I think it could make them sound just a taaaaad bit more like Melee with a certain bit of echo.
Okay, thanks! This doesn't sound too difficult. Although I'm not sure which program I would use for this. Do I use BrawlBox or something like Super Sawndz?I do actually agree with this. Oh also use a sound editing software like Audacity (what I use) to increase the decibels of her voice clips.Okay, thanks! This doesn't sound too difficult. Although I'm not sure which program I would use for this. Do I use BrawlBox or something like Super Sawndz?
ok... what does that Devil Trigger photo mean? :I

Do you know what he says when activating Devil Trigger in UMvC3? That's basically what I'm saying with that picture lolok... what does that Devil Trigger photo mean? :I
I... mayhaps will have a thing soon (maybe tonight-ish?) that someone can help me to test? Eeeeh? Eeeeeeeeennngh? It's that Roy thingy for Codex's PM Fix thread... I cannot currently test things which is the reason thingies for such... things..just looked it up...
"now... i'm motivated!"
now... i'm curious!
I just got to try this out. I'm not sure what exactly you changed, but the only fix I could find is Roy now saying "Hoh!" even if you wavedash quickly (within the first few frames). Before this fix he would wavedash silently. I'm not sure if you posted a change list, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.I... mayhaps will have a thing soon (maybe tonight-ish?) that someone can help me to test? Eeeeh? Just get the old pac file and replace the pac file of the corresponding character. Delete any associated .sawnd files too.How do I get rid of the melee sfx for a character and switch it back to project m sfx
they're inMelee chants anyone?
i think that the SFX you're talking about are universal and apply for everyone (hit SFX)Excuse me? Would it be alright if I gave some criticism?
First off, I'd like to say I love that you're doing Melee voices for Project M. As to me, the only ones helpful to me are the alt voices like Meleedorf, or the clone engine characters with their echoed star KO voices. I actually want the PM Dev team to take notes from this!
But, now here's my big gripe...
I don't know why, but I really hate that Project M is trying to be nostalgic with its SFX. It peeves me that I can't do anything to get rid of the old slash sounds of Link and Marth. And when I tested the alt Ganondorf SFX pack, I found it was replaced with more nostalgia-related SFX instead of just sticking to voices. And Bowser's SFX pack; he sounds so quiet except for his actual voice! Why can't there just be some things that are modern?
I guess what I'm asking is can there be an option for alt voice packs like Ganon and Falco, but with their Brawl SFX intact? If that makes any sense.
Not hit SFX, I'm talking SFX like Wizard's Foot (which is now near silent).i think that the SFX you're talking about are universal and apply for everyone (hit SFX)
unless you're talking about char-specific swing sounds and other stuff
Yes, char-specific.i think that the SFX you're talking about are universal and apply for everyone (hit SFX)
unless you're talking about char-specific swing sounds and other stuff
there's Brawlee Luigi and Bowser, so i think the Toon Link part can be worked out the same wayYes, char-specific.
On a side-note to the developer of these packs, I just realized you haven't done Kirby or Ice Climbers! D:
Also, what if you did a Young Link SFX pac for Toon Link? He actually has had those voices in games like Minish Cap and Four Swords, so I think it would be a cool addition that nods such a fact.
I guess this slightly not as loud Roy will have to wait for another day. I can't fix the clicky sounds unless PMBR gives me some kinda something as to how to fix it. I've looked into it myself a bit but... no luck.I just got to try this out. I'm not sure what exactly you changed, but the only fix I could find is Roy now saying "Hoh!" even if you wavedash quickly (within the first few frames). Before this fix he would wavedash silently. I'm not sure if you posted a change list, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.
I found two problems:
1) The jab sword swing sound makes some sort of click sound. This also applies to f-tilt, and some of his Side-B sword swings.
2) The game crashes when I use Blazer (Up-B).
Note that this was tested with your Melee SFX mod installed (7.sawnd).
Lasers? Uummmmm has anyone else had this problem? When i play Roy some of his attacks have a strange sound in the backround that sounds like a laser :/
Sorry to be a bother, but how do you make sounds for alt costumes?
It involves adding an extra "If" event into each subroutines voice thingy and telling it that if a specific costume is used, to play different sound effect. I can go into moar detail later.... maaaaaaaaybe...Hi @ Amazerommu I saw that you were able to make Slot Specific sounds ? Can you tell me how you did that plz ? I'd like to put Lucina's voice over 1 costume of Marth
She'll exist eventually. I applaud your very... *very* patient patience... lolWaiting for dem Samus sounds~
How do I get rid of the melee sfx for a character and switch it back to project m sfx
To clarify... doing this thing only gets rid of some Melee SFX for each char. The general sfx are still used by a lot of Brawl .pac files, so you won't be able to get rid of the Melee SFX completely unless you get rid of 7.sawnd in addition.Just get the old pac file and replace the pac file of the corresponding character. Delete any associated .sawnd files too.
Melee chants anyone?
they're in
You have to download each individual character to get their Melee chant. The chants are in each chars .sawnd file. Are you sure? I still hear the normal ones, lemme test
If you hear near silence... it may mean you forgot to do something. I have also mentioned before of doing voice-only mods, but that's after I finish what the main goal of this project is... And as for the other thing...Excuse me? Would it be alright if I gave some criticism?

I noticed this sound in particular was kinda quiet and intend to fix it as such. Also along these lines I have been... BEEEEEEEEEN meaning to increase the volume of the not-slash general hit sfx. Just busy things and such. Ya know...?Not hit SFX, I'm talking SFX like Wizard's Foot (which is now near silent).
We'll see. I don't think it will. For one my sounds are... crisper in most cases. Mewtwo's Disable/Confusion sounds are prime examples of this.I wonder if this mod will break entirely with 3.6. They are adding that knockback sound from this mod into the game...
Yes, char-specific.

This is also already a thing I have planned (after the main part of the project is done, meaning all Melee chars. I was even considering doing an alt voice... not sure which way it would go tho (Brawl voice for original or Outset costume...?)there's Brawlee Luigi and Bowser, so i think the Toon Link part can be worked out the same way
Please do *_*It involves adding an extra "If" event into each subroutines voice thingy and telling it that if a specific costume is used, to play different sound effect. I can go into moar detail later.... maaaaaaaaybe...
Nupe! @ Riddlrr plz halp!Did Ridllhr ever tell you how to fix that crackling issue?
I'll try to do this when 3.6 comes out. Or maybe if I end up getting work done on something soon, I'll do it then. Please do *_*
No, this is just drag-and-drop for the folders. It's not really an addon, more like a replacement.Soo is this mod P:M Addon-capable? (i.e. I can drop this into sd:/projectm/launcher/addons?)
If the answer is no, and you wanna find out how to: https://www.reddit.com/r/SSBPM/comments/2momq0/project_m_addon_system_what_it_is_and_why_you/
