MK is optional banned in the Unity Rule Set until Jan 9th when it'll become the standard for that rule set, you people really need to include that. It's NOT a universal ban at all.

I've been thinking about starting to host tournaments in Delaware, to try and get some sort of smash scene going. I have a couple venues in mind. I guess I'm just wondering if there would be enough interest from MD\VA players.

I know that, I've always known that since this crap came up but I notice a lot of people talk about it as if its Universal and its not, that's why I was saying people need to start including in the Unity Rule Set when they say MK is banned.

Also, MK banned events prolly should not count for PRs since its not the standard :/

there are a multitude of things: attendance, results, but mostly player response. most of MD/VA seems to be pro-ban (?), but if there's a general feeling of "well, this isn't any different" then i see no reason to ban him.
the reason i want MK banned isn't because he's "gay" or "unfair," it's because of his direct influence on our rulesets and it's what the community seems to want. if the community (read: OUR community) doesn't care, neither will i.
in short, if i don't see a reason to keep him gone, i won't. i'm against making any changes unless there's a significant gross positive reaction to it.
exactly, see, if you and omni are two that aren't entering, that's two members of the community we've lost in the split. is banning MK worth splitting the community? these are the things i want to know. conversely, if we get a ton of response somehow elsewhere (people coming back, maybe some attendance from players offline that think mk is "gay unfair cheap" whatever), it might be okay.
i was going to say it doesn't matter either way as i'm only running small locals out of my house, but considering how few tourneys we have in our region as of late, i'm not sure

Yeah, see how Mk banned would affect attendance, more people could possibly come. Still, I'd rather just have a ruleset where Brinstar and RC are gone and see how that effects results. 3 stock, 10 minutes.
