I will have to respectfully say that you are wrong. ChuDat has NEVER said that "50 people are coming!!!" and only have 7 or a few people show up. If you have proof of this, then prove it but until then you are making ChuDat look bad. Don't forget you also made a negative remark about his advertisement a while back (In fact, his advertisement has been VERY successful from 2005 - 2009 averaging about 25 players per tournament on a WEEKLY basis LOL).

Chu has never charged a $5 venue fee for a bi-weekly UNLESS it was a special occasion such as the Thanks giving themed bi-weekly which was used to purchase Pizza and as an incentive to bring food. ChuDat bi-weeklies weren't crap. He was an experienced and chill TO. He took care and greeted every smasher that entered his home. Not to mention he hosted cheap tournaments for your cheap *** LOL. Get your facts straight before talking ****.

It seems like everyone has finally jumped on the chudat hating band wagon now that he's gone. I don't blame ya'll. In my opinion, the Brawl community (mainly MD/VA) is filled with spiteful, jealous, obnoxious people.

if you wanna really be technical, the venue fee was being paid for what was advertised which was teams and a singles tournament. since neither occurred, the venue fee should not be collected. now if people agreed to pay a venue fee for just a crew battle, it would have been fine, but only if that was agreed on before the event, you can't force the agreement after the event is held

Glad you were respectful. I don't hate Chu. He's just cheap. His behavior doesn't really prove otherwise. And my history with his bi-weeklies have been a regular and a Halloween, both of which I was charged $5 and not provided any food whatsoever. So there's that.

And as respectful as you are, don't go throwing around "cheap ***" insults. Entirely hypocritical. The only tournaments he ever really traveled to were those he thought he could win. I drive and often carpool with players to support a game and a community. Sure, he hosts tournaments, but he also entered them and often left the TO job to someone else.

Speaking the truth, so deal. I would love for him to come back and play brawl and see his face more often. But people jumping the "hate bandwagon" and people speaking out about their experiences of Chu's greed are two different things. I recall him taking beverages out of this dude's refrigerator without even asking. And he'd charge for sodas at his own house? Give me a break.
