I think marth's upair generally sends you up pretty steeply.

Meaning you can DI it up and away or up and toward and get the same effect I THINK.

So I think the best way to avoid it is to DI up and the opposite way the marth is traveling.

Example:

Marth runs to the right and SH upairs you, DI up and to the left.

Raynex or Cactus confirm or tell me that I'm wrong?

Careful, if you percent is to low or the Marth might purposely sourspot the U-air to set you up for a tipper

Assume Marth is coming at you from the left side of FD:

If you get hit by a tipped uair, ideally you'd want to D.I. down/away (down/right). It will send you more horizontally than D.I. away (right), or up/away (up/right) would.

Ideally, smash d.i. down/away from the uair, and continue d.i.ing in that direction. If you get hit with the uair and are directly above him, d.i. down/away BEHIND Marth. It makes it harder for him to follow up.

Keep in mind that he may still be able to land a tipper or fair on you. Watch your d.i. and switch it to survival if you think he'll go for a forward smash.

where or how do u DI to get out
If you're at mid percent, there's no way out. You'll still get combo'd. Prepare to DI the next hit. Also, don't DI the u-air off the stage, or you'll get spiked / tipped anyway. I usually DI toward the middle of the stage and wait for the combo to end, or hope they screw up.

i disagree... if you DI off the stage and continue DIing away, marth can't kill you (immediately). just make sure you grab the edge with your jump. the worst thing he could do is jump out and fair you (and with DI away no ken combo/followups).

if you DI to the center, he will keep comboing you until you jump out or you hit the ground; you have no jump in the air or you have to get up. Those are the two worst situations to be in with any character in any match up.

nope. full away sends you further horizontally than down+away

cosmo wtf is going on in your sig

down & opposite of the way they're going (if you're a fast-faller, so you can tech) or just opposite (if a medium/floaty, so you can jump), just be careful about being sourspotted & tippered. i do it w/ marth & it happens against me when im other chars so yeah -_-

Until higher percentage, you really just hope marth messes up, lawl. Not much you can do about uair juggles at mid percentage as either of the spacies. Plus, the Marth can just wait, and react at higher percentages and restart the juggle.
