Marth's grabs.

I have repeatedly tried to make Marth's grabs effective, the whole, Forward throw to FSmash, for some reason never works for me.

His dash grab sucks, and the actual range for the standard grab is pathetic.
I believe that this is really hurting my gameplay because I consider grabbing as quicker attack, rather then a seperate technique.

Any tips to improve the grabbing game for Marth?

Don't dash grab, just shield cancel grab. His standing grab range is good, not pathetic.

You're doing it wrong if you can't fsmash from an fthrow or dthrow. If you think you're timing it right, try stutter stepping.

-Has nothing to do with Marth. Why the hell did you post this here? It belongs in another section like the general brawl discussion.

The reason you didn't know that is because you do not fit the definition of useful. You are not serving some purpose by creating this thread. You are not a useful member of society. Meh I do it because I think it helps, not because I don't want you to post. There are 4 topics bumped on Marth's grabs in the past 2 weeks. There's the q/a section. I might have over done it a bit, but take a look at the spam in the past 3 days and tell me I didn't have a reason to.

P.S. I'm not saying don't post. I'm saying post properly in the right sections. Search the word "grab" and you get a bunch of topics on Marth's grab game. All I'm saying is don't be lazy and not read everything because all that does is make more work for people who respond to you because they have to restate everything they've already written a big wall of text about.

Well, I did look at the posts, but they never said anything about stutter stepping afterwards.
I just thought that I would post here, I admit that there has been a great amount of spam and it does piss me off to, like that one guy who posted this wrestling match ALL OVER the who fourm, Marth, Mario, Sonic, and even Gannon's section.

See, the thing is that it would be so much better if you just acted like you did on the P.S. I actually had some respect for you, because I understood what you freakin' ment.

Anywho, I think the search thing is broken on my computer because I will get irrelevent topics such as...

Never again mention "fail" and "feardragon" in the same sentence. For someone who dislikes the marth boards so much, you sure seem to haunt it a lot.

There is a grab thread somewhere, to do recommended followups.

fthrow -> Fsmash isn't really all too reliable.

If you want to throw it in there, from 0-5% ish... you can pull it off no problem. At higher percents knockback is greater. Stutter step.

When fighting snake, or characters who you outprioritize in the air. Use your up throw. You can sometimes begin a juggle with Uair. And then Utilt. Plus Snake has an awful are game.

Grab release. Read the thread somewhere. Characters like metaknight and lightwieghters can be followed up with a Fair.

Others can be chain grabbed with the release.

Well, I would Dash then shield then grab, but my friends usually just grab me while I shield. I can't find a safe time to use Marth's grabs. But I now know to stutter step.

My friends use people like Peach, Lucas, Ness, Kirby, Toon link, and Marth, oh and Captain Falcon....
