One technique which works very well is to shuffle a fair from far enough away that you will not get punished, but close enough that it looks dangerous to the opponent. He will frequently rush in for an attack, after which you can react.

You can also shuffle fair into dtilt, although that is a bit riskier (he can react with knee and you will usually get owned). If you are able to pivot, pivoting attacks adds a layer of depth to the matchup which works in your favor. You can bait an attack and pivot fsmash (be careful with this of course) or pivot nair.

Spam grab and don't throw out random aerials. You also have to be really cautious when you recover not randomly throwing out side Bs or F-Airs because he'll just wait and then run off U-Air or Knee you.

I actually like to stay grounded and use my grabs and tilts. And go for chain grabs or throw him onto a platform and then **** him up.

Nair eats Falcon. When approaching don't think "I need to hit him and space" Because he will always be just out of range. Instead you should be thinking "I need to hit behind him"
Uthrow tech-chase Falcon. At around 41% if you Uthrow Falcon you can go right into an Utilt>Whatever combo.
Dtilt edgeguard him. Get em off stage, never let him come back. Don't get grabbed.

n-air beats every one of falcons aerials but it leaves him vulnerable to side-b

consider using neutral a or even slighty better, side-b to disrupt falcon

true although sometimes Falcon randomly trades with Marth's N-air if he uses his own. It has to be done at a certain timing though.

read his dash away. If he is the kind of player who does literally nothing but dash dance then he should be easy pickings ;]

I'll make it simple, falcon's approach's are all horrible, dont get baited and he will be forced to approach, at which point you put a long metal blade in his face, which none of his attacks, no matter how hard he tries cannot get passed, from there you proceed to **** him with said long metal blade.

This is how I view the match up, its a pretty old video but still http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCvgjgnXEEU

yeah. i just like to use my bigger grab range. there's nothing he can really do about that if you space it right. well. he could go for something that isn't a grab. but my point is. don't forget your grab range makes his look stupid.
