Speaking of Castform, I had meant to say something about it, but apparently forgot about it.

Anyway:

Having so many specials is simply a terrible idea. Even a "back" special would be awkward in most situations, but diagonals? That's not only terribly complicated, but it also kind of gives Castform an immediate leg up on his foes.

40-something Final Smashes is one thing...but now you're getting to the point where you're not even making a Smash Bros. character. :ohwell:

Also Dan Hibiki's aerial taunts will never be beaten.

Hey don't look at me. I was asleep for 15 hours until just now. It was all K.Rool's fault.
Slander! Lies and slander! It's all... um... Warlord's fault!

And I'm inclined to agree on the Castform thing. Diagonal specials feel pretty arbitrary for him, and would make him really awkward to play with.

Ah, The Bouncer. Sora seems like a rip-off from Sion after playing that game. The ragdoll effects and smoothe graphics was two of the only things going for the game.

I got it for $5 (along with the original, multiplayer-only TimeSplitters, whoo!) at a bargain-bin while doing some last-minute Christmas shopping yesterday.

I can't believe anyone ever actually anticipated this pile of awesome garbage. :laugh:

Why not make the taunts change the formation, it's alot more simpiler than having diagonal specials.
Yeah, why not?

Diagonal Specials? I never said anything about diagonal specials. You press Down and B, and have a second to push up, left or right, which changes what happens. You don't have to push down and right at the same time.

It's still a much more complicated method, which could just as easily be done with the D-pad...or better yet, not at all.

Why not have his recovery turn him into the sunny form? Warm air rises, right? And Side+B can be Sandstorm, which would create a small current of biting sand to attack at a range, meanwhile turning Castform into a different form. You get the idea.

Perhaps....

But that would mean completely remaking his specials. So no. Honestly, It's not that complicated.

I agree on Castform about the diagonals - always a bad idea. Create different forms for it.

Although I must say, Baloo, I am impressed by your yest for innovation. Continue flinging the darts until you get an idea that really blows us all out of the water; if at first you don't succeed, etcetera.

Timesplitters is awesome, it's a shame Free Radical closed down on Thursday :(.
The story is a pain though, especially on higher difficulty- I never finished Chinese on hard, or the very final challenge.

Castform does seem a little bit complicated.

I have been/ am still busy, so Hitmontop is just an empty template. I'll have him done for Boxing Day.

See what I did there?

Fine! I will use the completed unoriginal form of Normal to fire to Water to Snow to Sand with his down B. Unoriginality FTW.

Maybe his taunts?

I don't know, pressing Down, then B, and then whatever direction you want does not sound particularly complicated to me.

Are you gonna be having the weather on the stage actually change as he does? I'd definitely suggest that. At least have a little zone around Castform where rain is pouring or the sun is shining or whatever. That's what I'd do, anyway.

Oume has been reviewed, yep. Klump & Krusha should also come later today. Tonberry, soon enough.

It would be in a normal game of Smash. I get what you mean...but the character itself doesn't change forms at will, y'know. Honestly I'd rather see you have each form get different stats and a different Neutral B, for example...

...and then give us a list of which form Castform takes on depending on the stage. Obviously for Yoshi's Island, he could take any form as the match progresses, but on Mushroomy Kingdom, he'd be fire.

The Summit = snow form
Norfair = fire form
Rumble Falls = rain form
Shadow Moses = snow form
Delfino Island = fire form
Distant Planet = rain form
Pokemon Stadium = varying, depending on what form the stage takes

...And so on.

YOU ARE BAD PEOPLE!!!!

That was what I was going to do, and you guessed it. Meanies. I thought that would be a nice surprise, and you guess it.

Hmph.

But yes, the stage will change his form.

Castform will also be able to change by using certain attacks, but on extreme stages like Norfair and Summit, it will fail.

Meanies.

OK, here is the stage list. Cloud and Snow is the same thing. If it does not say extreme next to the element, that means that you can switch to a different element, you just start out in that form. If it says Any, you start out in you neutral form.

* 75m - Fire
* Battlefield - Sand
* Bridge of Eldin - Fire
* Castle Siege - Any, except on the third part, which is Extreme Fire.
* Delfino Plaza - Water or Sand.
* Distant Planet - Water, when it is raining, Extreme Water.
* Final Destination - Any
* Flat Zone 2 - Any
* Frigate Orpheon - Fire
* Green Hill Zone - Any
* Halberd - Fire
* Hanenbow - Water
* Luigi's Mansion - Any
* Lylat Cruise - Any, on the snow part, Extreme Snow.
* Mario Bros - Any
* Mario Circuit - Sand
* Mushroomy Kingdom - Extreme Sand
* Mushroomy Kingdom 2 - Fire
* New Pork City - Any
* Norfair - Extreme Fire
* PictoChat - Any
* Pirate Ship - Water
* Pokémon Stadium - In it's normal form, any. In the rock form, Sand. In the flying form, any. In the mechanical form, any. In the ice form, Extreme Snow.
* Port Town Aero Dive - Any
* Rumble Falls - Water
* Shadow Moses Island - Snow
* Skyworld - Extreme Cloud
* Smashville - Any
* Spear Pillar - Snow
* Summit - Extreme Snow
* WarioWare, Inc. - Any
* Yoshi's Island - Fall and spring are neutral. Winter is snow, summer is fir.
* Big Blue - Any
* Brinstar - Fire
* Corneria - Any
* Green Greens - Any

Is a form locked if it corresponds to a stage? How does the change function?

Looks really good so far, another interesting twist.

Some stages are extreme, for example, Mushroomy Kingdom is very sandy, so Castform can not change his form on that stage. However, as long as the stage does not have the word extreme next to it's element, you can switch. If it says only an element, with no Extreme next to it, you start with that element, but can change if you want.

And his specials and aerials will change his form.

Isn't it a bit dark in there? I'd put Any.
* Battlefield - Sand
I dunno, I'd say Any, for the most neutral place.
* Bridge of Eldin - Fire
* Castle Siege - Any, except on the third part, which is Extreme Fire.
* Delfino Plaza - Water or Sand.
I agree with Mendez; it doesn't get much sunnier than it is here.
* Distant Planet - Water, when it is raining, Extreme Water.
* Final Destination - Any
* Flat Zone 2 - Any
* Frigate Orpheon - Fire
I wouldn't say so. There's no sunlight in here. Any in my book.
* Green Hill Zone - Any
* Halberd - Fire
* Hanenbow - Water
* Luigi's Mansion - Any
* Lylat Cruise - Any, on the snow part, Extreme Snow.
* Mario Bros - Any
* Mario Circuit - Sand
* Mushroomy Kingdom - Extreme Sand
* Mushroomy Kingdom 2 - Fire
Again, there's no sun in here, at all. I'd put Any.
* New Pork City - Any
This place feels like rain to me. I dunno...
* Norfair - Extreme Fire
* PictoChat - Any
* Pirate Ship - Water
* Pokémon Stadium - In it's normal form, any. In the rock form, Sand. In the flying form, any. In the mechanical form, any. In the ice form, Extreme Snow.
* Port Town Aero Dive - Any
* Rumble Falls - Water
* Shadow Moses Island - Snow
* Skyworld - Extreme Cloud
A bit of a stretch to have cloud and snow be the same, but I can see why.
* Smashville - Any
* Spear Pillar - Snow
* Summit - Extreme Snow
* WarioWare, Inc. - Any
* Yoshi's Island - Fall and spring are neutral. Winter is snow, summer is fir.
* Big Blue - Any
* Brinstar - Fire
* Corneria - Any
* Green Greens - Any
* Jungle Japes - Water
* Onett - Any
* Pokémon Stadium - Normal form and forest are neutral. Fire form is Fire. Water form is Water. Rock form is sand.
* Rainbow Cruise - Cloud
* Temple - Cloud
* Yoshi's Island - Any
My own personal changes above. This is a really neat idea, by the way.

Interesting...

Will you be able to select his form at the start of the match, or will he start in a particular form only?

And no. Mario Bros. Is any.

And you can pick before playing for normal stages.

Yeah, that all sounds better. Fire torches... I guess that could seem like sunlight from inside a cave, so okay. And that's pretty interesting, I never knew it was Snow/Cloud.

Kawasaki should be done soon, if I apply myself, wyvern.

I'll review it if you want, Baloo. It'll be my first review and perhaps only review, but it shall be of at least standard quality. Don't the Sandbags review anymore?

Uh, yeah. I was going to say the same thing, Baloo (I might have already, actually). The totally-centered layout hurts my brain.

Other than that, more BBCode would help too.

Nah, the Sandbags got beaten up by the super primid Smashbromike, then he forced Warlord and the gang to change the stadium into a place full of K.Rools.

Serieal answer: They still do yes.
