Pssst, everyone, anticipate away! I've seen parts of this thing, and it's going to be epic.
Curses!! I knew you'd seen too much!

Just because I've shown you all of Joe and I-don't-even-remember-how-much of Poppy...

And I trust the Pied Piper will be through-the-roof awesome!

I just had the most epic moveset idea.

THE PIED PIPER!

He enters the fray with a legion of rats behind him!

Except I don't really like the above imagining of him. I'll try to find a picture where he's an older, skinny, crueler-looking man with a black cloak.
Yay for fairy tales! I'm doing a Little Red Riding Hood moveset (if anyone wants to make a button of that, that'd be wonderful), so that's just kinda funny, I think.

Oh yeah, maybe I forgot to mention it, but... That. Is. Awesome! Seriously, I can hardly wait to see what you do with her. As for the button, though... there's a disappointing shortage of good Riding Hood art on the web. If you find me something where I can actually crop out the background, I could do it.

Heh, well, the only good pictures I can find are B.B. Hood pictures, which is not what I want my moveset to be taken as. She has the whole 'cute girl' facade thing going like B.B. but she isn't sadistic or evil. :(

Here's a good picture I found, though.

~~ PROFILE ~

Full name: Cidolfus Demen Bunansa
Age: 58 years old
Race: Human
Origin: Final Fantasy XII
Status: Sub-villian
Occupation: Chief at Draklor Laboratories

~Personality~

Dr. Cid is an eccentric character, branded as a mad man because he is often seen talking into thin air. His confidence and obsession over the power of nethicite, or the rather blind belief in his intentions, makes him come across a little naive at times. One thing's for sure; He is extremely goal-oriented, and shows respect for his younger superior and sponsor. Despite his age, he is very energic and new thinking. A quirky genious researcher.

~The Man of Science~

Cid in my opinion has a very interesting playstyle. His movements and attacks are heavyweight, however they involve a great amount of projectiling, which is rare in the Smash series. He holds a variety of technical attacks that can prove very useful in unpredictability and mind games. Though he has great offensive prowess, his defense is relatively weak. This makes him even more unique; the offense/defense balance is extremely off. It is due to him being an ordinary human, but holding the power of science, machinery, and magic within him. He can somewhat be compared to Zelda, but no where near as fast. From looking at his above body picture, his attire and body proportion is quite similar to that of Ganondorf.

His normal attacks make the use of two oddly-designed pistols, whether he is shooting or striking with them. They are decently strong, but the peak of his power comes from his Specials. He is also assisted by his Rooks, four supportive orbital machines. The Rooks do not attack, neither do they stay on the battlefield with Cid. They only appear when Cid is shielding, air dodging, or spot dodging, in a fashion where they are protecting him.

Statistics

Walk Speed: 3/10
Run Speed: 4/10
Power: 8/10
Weight: 4/10
Frame: 2/10
Combat Agility: 3/10
Combat Range: /10
Jumping: 2/10
Falling Speed: 7/10
Traction: 4/10
Wall Jump: No
Wall Cling: No
Crawl: No

Standard

A - pokes forward with his right pistol...[2%]
AA - ...then pokes with the fet one in the same fashion [3%]
-
-
-
-

Tilts

Forward - lifts the pistols into the air crossing them, then comes down
with an "X" strike. Decent knockback, but very pre-laggy. [7%]

Up - lifts himself into the air using both the pistols and performs a rising
headbutt. So-so knockback, but a bit pre-laggy. [5%]

Down - does an "X" sweep at the feet, causing the enemy to trip. It can
also hit enemies at the back. No knockback. [4%]

Dash - slides from the run while poking his pistols out in front of him,
dragging any enemes in his path. It captures enemies as he is in the poking
animation. Decent knockback, but very post-laggy. [8%]
-
-
-
-
-

Aerials

Neutral - stretches his arms out with pistols in hand with his knee slightly
pointed forward. The pistols can attack, but he focal point is the knee. Decent
knockback. [4%] [9%]

Up - spins his left pistol around on his finger for an upward combo attack.
The spin isn't quick, but it is so powerful that you can't capture an enemy for
a consecutive strike. Decent knockback, but pre-laggy. [5-5-5%]

Forward - Cid puts his pistols together over his head and bashes
downward like he is smashing with a sledgehammer. Super knockback, but
very pre and post laggy. The attack serves as a meteor smash if he hits midway
of the pistols. [12%]

Down - Cid crosses his arms with pistols in hand and his legs, creating a
double helix out of his body upside down. He then drills for a rapid combo.
The very last hit of the attack causes the decent knockback, but it is hard
to pull off since it doesn't suck enemies in; it does quite the opposite. [2-2-2-5%]

-
-
-
-
-

Smashes

Forward (Slowsilver)- points his left pistol out and shoots a close range bullet,
kneels down and shoots another with the right, then stands up turning around and
shoots with both. The duration of the attack is the 2 seconds. This is a capture combo;
if an enemy is shot by the first or second bullet, they will be locked in. The third shot
counts as the killer. Great knockback, though done slowly. [2-3-9%]

Up (Highwind)- Cid rests his left pistol onto his shoulder while it is point upwards
and shoots out four extremely rapid bullets. The distance is great for a smash; as it
is being shot up, it can reach up to "one Cid" of length. This move doesn't deliver a
death blow. It is more focused on building damage against enemies above Cid. Very
pre-laggy, but very damage-racking. [3-3-3-6%]

Down (Dance For Me)- tilts his right pistol at the enemies feet and shoots out
five rapid bullets. It is a capture combo. The knockback is sideways, and is pretty
good. It is slightly pre-laggy, but afterwards it is very quick, and executes quite
nicely. [1-2-1-3-5%]

~~~~ S-85 Cyclotrone ~~~
Cid takes out an energy cannon, tilting it upwards. He charges it up, and an electrical surge builds through the silo. Suddenly, a spherical energy blast is formed at the opening of the silo. This isn't exactly a projectile. The blasts stays in place while the cannon is still tilted up. This is more for enemies approaching Cid from the air, rather than on the ground. The pre-lag is 1.5 seconds%
You know, I'm, like, the only person in the world who LOVED Batman Returns. The Penguin was so messed up there, it's awesome. Somehow they stuffed in his backstory (and gave him a truly sympathetic character - his death scene has always stayed with me) as well as Catwoman's (which was also incredible), and a whole plotline with defaming Batman AND The Penguin becoming mayor AND Max Shreck, the tycoon behind the Penguin's rise who ends up betraying him. And they put it all in with such style and atmosphere... I gotta tell ya, The Dark Knight was great, but if you asked me to name my favourite...
*goes off to watch Batman Returns*
...Anyway, the bottom line is, go for it.
Tanookie: Sure, that'll work. I'll get that done one of these days. No rush, right? You've got other movesets to finish first, right?
I personally prefer the 1960s versions, mostly because I'm big on cheezy movies and bad effects. The best Batman movie was the old 1966 movie.
Stickman has been posted as a moveset
Kenny from South Park as well
I posted the first Act of my SSE
Most of us are old geezers
A newcomer is almost done with him/her KOS-MOS moveset
etc...
Awesome. This spares me a good 10 pages of reading.
Though that "etc." has my interest...
Also the best Batman movie is so obviously Batman & Robin. Two words: rubber nipples.
Is Batman Returns really that good? Maybe I'll take a watch.
The old Penguin from the terrible quality live action movies is fail though, along with the Joker who refused to shave his mustache.
Well, it's got a bit of the cheese that the later ones and earlier ones suffered from, but it's got a great atmosphere. What else would you expect from Tim Burton, after all? Anyway, i personally loved it, but as I say, most people disagree.
@ Old Batman: Eeesh, Adam West? Those were hilarious, I can't begrudge you that, but... eesh.
@ Batman and Robin: The only redeeming feature of that trash was Mr. "Let's kick some ice!" Freeze, played by Schwarzenegger, of all people. Even George Clooney couldn't help it.
So I just sifted through those past 10 pages anyway for new movesets, and golly gosh do you people talk about the strangest things.
Anyway.
And a question for anyone (mostly the Castlevania lovers), who would you want to see as a boss for Shanoa? Blackmore, Eligor or Death? I'm personally leaning towards Eligor myself but wanted other opinions ^^
Blackmore's probably the most infamously-tough boss in that game, but...honestly he's just a random boss. I think for this, you should go with one that's central to Shanoa's story, which basically means either Albus or Barlowe.
Probably Barlowe. For obvious, spoiler-filled reasons. How dare you--ever forget--who raised you--you--stupid disciple!
Also the Jiang-shi would make a kick-*** Assist Trophy. :chuckle:
EDIT -
@K.Rool: I agree that the Burton films were generally better than others, though personally I thought the original was better than Returns.
The old Batman shows were just plain win all around. I mean, where else do you see Batman DANCE!? Or the Alf Mobile? Or Bat Shark Repellant?
Anyway.. I'm making progress on all my non-moveset related stuff.
@BKupa 666:Here's a Doggy and Bear picture. You have my full permission to use it as you want
edit: whoops! I got the usernames mixed up...
Tormod was much cooler in Dawn than Path of Radiance. Too bad they made him impossible to use with his horrid availability.
Also, I don't know how I missed Baby DK, but really good job on that one. I loved using him in Yoshi's Island DS and Super Sluggers, and you definitely gave him a fitting moveset.
Agreed.
He's not impossible to use though... just has to eat the hell out of your Bonus Experience, though I hear he's about as good as Soren if you do get him up to par.
He was cool in Path of Radiance as well (though not as cool), definitely more awesome than Soren... to bad he's the last unpromoted unit you get (with barely any time to level up if you aren't determined to use him.)
@Chris: Meh, i don't really like Tormod. He comes so late in Radiant Dawn, and he's comes in too weak in POR IMO. Stats aside, Tormod is a cool kid, with a confident attitude, something i like.
IMO Tormod is hands down THE most underated Sage in PoR. He may start of weak, but if you have the experience to use him, he becomes incredible. A high-stat Sage with +2 movement FTW!
Unfortunately in RD, he is incredibly meh.... his only advantage is that +2 movement Celerity skill... and thats better if you un-equip it and give it to Reyson.
Here's a little preview of Alucard, if anyone's interested. I tried really hard to make the neutral combo as un-generic as possible, but I don't think I was exactly successful. Opinions are appreciated:
Neutral Combo: Tactics - What’s a swordsman without a slash attack? By pressing the A button up to three times, Alucard slashes his sword twice in quick succession before ramming his shield out, knocking opponents back slightly. The shield ram does not have a counter effect but serves as a knockback so as to keep the opponent away from Alucard after his assault. Unfortunately, the shield comes out a tad slowly, making it easy for an opponent to dodge. [3% - 3% - 2% - 8% total]
Dash Attack: Wing Smash - Alucard quickly morphs into a bat shape, flying forward for two character lengths in an attempt to ram enemies down. This attack does good damage and is a good way to catch enemies off-guard due to its sudden high speed. However, opponents can usually see it coming because, while the bat is faster than Alucard, it isn’t that fast. In addition, while it looks flashy, it actually does not knock opponents back at all; it pushes them back with Alucard, so that when Alucard automatically shapeshifts back to humanoid form at the end of the attack (which is a slow, obvious process), he is right in the opponent's face, wide open to be attacked. In addition, you cannot push opponents off ledges, but you can fly off ledges if you do not connect with this move. [9%]
Celerity definitely helped in Path of Radiance. Then, he wasn't hard to use thanks to that massive chapter in Serenes Forest, where he could easily catch up.
Edit: Alucard looks pretty cool, although usually isn't the third A of an A/AA/AAA combo the strongest?
Yes he does.... Would probably be a good idea to take it off and give it to someone else in Micaiah's group.
Then give it to Reyson for the Endgame. He makes perfect use of it. It allows him to get into the battles and away easier, and makes the level 40 Heron Galdrar (recovers adjacent unit(s) to full health and cures their current condition) as useful as a physic (well almost).
