I'm a Doc player...live in Boston, go to UMass. I'm not that good (I only play against two people regularly...one is my level, the other is Dark Cloud, aka Steve). I've met korean DJ once, a while ago at a small tournie (we were on a team afterwards when people were just messing aound), but I doubt he remembers me and I have improved greatly since then.

I'd be up for more Mass events, as long as they are T-accessable, I don't start classes until the 29th, but after that I'm only free every other monday and weekends maybe

If any one can get to UMass Boston easily, let me know...when the spring term starts I can bring my Cube in the afternoons (Mon, Tues, Thur)

I was just noticing that there's nothing going on February 3rd. Is this the case, cause I say we try to organize a smashfest for MA players.

On Feb 3rd, no one in New England planned a tournament.

I just thought it would be fun to have a smashfest for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.

If someone organizes a Smashfest in a T accessible place on the afternoon of the 3rd, I may be able to go... but my morning that day is booked:)

Actually due to a lack of response, I have decided to go skiing this Saturday and Sunday. **** the Superbowl. I refuse to watch that team of hall o fame receiving core carry that overrated douchebag to the superbowl.

Well where I live is in my profile. Hopefully I'll get to play some good people since most people in my town aren't hard to beat (not to sound arrogant or anything).

I hope I get to play some of you (or all of you).

I play Samus and Falco pretty well, Fox decently and a few others. I was at the video game club today, pretty much winning every time, though they're all pretty inexperienced.

I would suggest going to Cat3 on saturday, it should be a good tournament I hear. But I guess you'll need to show up to find out. >.>

The WPI plays together pretty much every other day on a regular basis. WPI is right in Worcester, which you probably know anyway. If you are really right in Worcester, you should send me a PM or instant message on AIM. About getting together for smash sometime.

However I also strongly recommend attending Cataclysm 3. Huge tournament. Probably 100+ people. Tons of pro players are coming. You should too.

Somerville (Davis Square) Smasher

I live 5 minutes away from Davis Square. I went to Cat3 today, but it was kind of too far away. We (Bostonites), live in a huge metro area; why aren't there more smashfests in the Boston/Cambridge area?

I don't really have the means to host anything (small house and only one television), but I live with another smasher and we'd love to play with other people. I don't really feel like we're getting any better since we only play each other and our two housemates who are below us in skill.

I'm all for this "Go Mass!" mentality, but I think we should all try harder to play together.

One thing that really appeals to me is the institution of bi-weeklies. I think they'd be a great venue to all practice and get better as a region.

I'm for the idea of Bi-Weeklies, but we need someone who's either willing to put up with us week after week, or a store to do it at.

Is there anyone in Boston or near a train station that would be willing to host these?

I second this idea, someone please open up their house to us in the general boston area, whenever if I can go, I'd definitely bring my gamecube.

How can we get a feel for how many people would come to these proposed bi's?

We could really use some biweeklies around here. I doubt I could host them but I'll definetely go if someone else does. I can't believe I missed cat3 today :( Yesterday was too good. Someone should have drove me :/

If it were possible, I would be glad to open my apartment to anyone as I live near Airport station, but the problem is mainly my mom and I don't got a big enough room for playing in and just one tv to hook up and play.

Adding my interest to a biweekly thing in the Boston Area (Porter Square here). Right now, my apartment is too small and lame to host, but I'm planning to find a better setup in the Spring/Summer if no one else steps up before then

Hi everyone im **** tom im having a tourney this saturday at 4pm in mansfield ma. There is a train that goes there it's the purple line so be there so you can get some new people to fight.

Tom's tournament is now next Saturday (the 17th) at 2pm, instead of today at 4pm (This is final, according to Tom's post in the tournament thread).
