With the recent hype buildup, I decided it's time to make everyone's lives easier by making an actual tournament thread.

I BRING TO YOU THE HYPEST AND MOST SUCCESSFUL BRAWL HOUSE TOURNEY SERIES IN THE ENTIRE (you can quote me on this) HISTORY OF GRAND RAPIDS.

Location



PM (or text) me for my address. My house is viewable on google maps, we also have a market literally right next door if anyone wants snacks or drinks or alcohol.

Tentative Schedule

  • 12:00PM: Doors Open & Registrations
  • 1:00PM: Project Melee Doubles
  • 3:00PM: Project Melee Singles
  • 5:00PM: Brawl Doubles
  • 8:00PM: Brawl Singles
  • 11:00PM: Grand Rapids vs. Muskegon Brawl Crews w/ Commentary by root
  • 12:00AM: :dk2::dkmelee::dk64: Dittos
Entry Fees

Please bring $1s and $5s

  • Venue: FREE (Donations are allowed :denzel:)
  • PM Doubles $5
  • PM Singles $5
  • Brawl Doubles $5
  • Brawl Singles $5
Payouts

All 3 events run modified payouts (60/30/10)

Ruleset

Project Melee:

- Input assist OFF.
- If the match ends due to a suicide move (e.g. Ganon's side-B; DDD's swallow; etc.), the player who initiated the move wins.
- Stage strike order: 122112
- Bans: Winner may ban 4 stages per game.

Doubles
- Remove WarioWare, Metal Cavern, Fountain of Dreams, and Green Hill Zone from available stages.
- Add Kongo Jungle 64 and SSE: Jungle.
- SSE: Jungle replaces Fountain of Dreams as a starter.

Important Reminders:

  • Every event we will make a Little Caeser's run. Everyone who wants to eat needs to bring $2.
  • Space is limited, I will do my very best to accommodate everyone, but please be mindful.
  • BRING PROJECT MELEE SETUPS, we will need about 3 Wiis and 1 or 2 TVs brought as well.

Just sit with me and play me for a while. I feel we hadn't played much other than bracket this past few times.

Lordy run doubles as round robin again, that was better than just the bracket.

This is gonna be a tough first showing of my new character. That I've used for four days. Dis gon b gud.
