I thought this, too, but then again, PETA is god**** crazy, so it's hard to tell. It's obvious they were trying to do a "lol, we're so clever" approach to it, and not actually serious. Then again, their society is full of hypocrisy, so who knows?
Hit the "show my sig" button so it doesn't do it automatically. It can be changed to default off in your user cp.Edit: Xsyven I have a Question: If my sig shows up automatically when I use the quick post function does that mean my post is long enough to where I won't get a sig violation?
Animals, including humans, will produce Milk, even years after they've had a baby, as long as the milk is being 'withdrawn' at regular intervals. A cow will only have to be impregnated once, even artificially, to get the milk flowing, after that, any further breeding is simply to produce more cows, not more milk.Well, the thing is, most cows used for milk are constantly made pregnant so that we can take it all year round. These cows often have hormones put in them, and are bred and genetically changed so that they produce more milk. Being milked as often as these cows are makes for a painful life. On top of that, many of the male cows that milk cows produce are used for veal.
Oh so they lied in the article. Saying that they have to be repeatedly impregnated.Animals, including humans, will produce Milk, even years after they've had a baby, as long as the milk is being 'withdrawn' at regular intervals. A cow will only have to be impregnated once, even artificially, to get the milk flowing, after that, any further breeding is simply to produce more cows, not more milk.
That is true, but from what I hear, baby cows from dairy cows are sometimes sold and used for veal or just butchered by the same company, getting some cash on the side, some justification for more impregnation. I hear this, anyway.Animals, including humans, will produce Milk, even years after they've had a baby, as long as the milk is being 'withdrawn' at regular intervals. A cow will only have to be impregnated once, even artificially, to get the milk flowing, after that, any further breeding is simply to produce more cows, not more milk.
