Items?

+Chocolate Bar.
+Hologram (kind of like a Punch Out version of Pokeballs) where a random boxer from Punch Out will perform his trademark attack for a while before disappearing)
+Jumping rope (everytime you jump, the rope causes opponents to trip)

///

And I just COMPLETED Super Punch Out with 0 Losses, so I witnessed the "perfect" edition of the Credits.
And thus... I'm also craving for a Little Mac reveal sometime soon.

///

As for what moves most desperately want?

-A Counter move that will fill up Little Mac's STARs, to use with his UP+B. (Similar to what MR.G&W provides for energy attacks, except it's all physical for Mac)
-When Mac grab-pummels the opponent, he's actually clenching and draining health from his opponent. (For every 2% drained, he recovers 1%) I knot it sounds kinda dirty, but for Punch Out standards, clenching is among the cleanest "dirty" boxing moves.
-His Dsmash, I'd love for him to make a reference to the typical double/triple uppercut move from the NES game.

///

EVENTS:

Referee Revenge:
>Face Mario in the Boxing Ring. You have 3 minutes to defeat him.

Giant Rematch!:
>Face Giant Donkey Kong in the ring. Again, 3 minutes to defeat him

Royal Rumble!:
>Face DK, Young/Toon Link, and King Dedede in the Boxing Ring.
(DK, due to the Punch Out Wii fight)
(Link, due to the Link vs Blaino fight from Oracle of Seasons game)
(Dedede, due to him having a ring stage in his games)

Title Defense Mario!:
>Face Metal Mario in the Boxing Ring. Beat him under 3 minutes, or you fail.

Championship:
>Defeat Sonic in the Boxing Ring. Final Smashes are active here.

Giga Battle
>Defeat Giga Bowser by landing a 3-Star Punch.

Mac vs. K. Rool, winner faces DK wearing boxing gloves.
Because he's always so small compared to everyone, I wanna see him fight a GIANT character. Maybe even while tiny. Or maybe a tiny character so he's the big one for once.

I REALLY wanna see him fight Ganondorf because he's always fighting people who are much bigger and stronger than him.

If you could change 1 person in the current roster and replace him/her with Little Mac who would it be? I'd say Mega Man. :troll:

Somebody on gamefaqs posted this. The stars are what sinks it for me. It is absolutely a punch out stage. Does that mean we will absoulutely 100% get little mac? No but this does increase his chances I'd imagine. The punch out games had a bunch of "Circuits" to fight though this one is a "Super Smash Bros. Circuit" if you will. It's actually pretty darn clever.

First off, the audience is human, so you can rule out any possibility that this is a Kirby themed stage (all Kirby boxing rings have Kirby characters instead). The marquee's in the background are all dot styled, which is consistent with the marquees in Punch Out Wii, and even the title screen and round indicators for Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

All logos in Punch Out Wii are adorned with clusters of stars, which are usually in 3's because triple star punches are the most powerful punch in the game, as well as the "leaf vines" on the sides (forgive me; I don't know the term for this) and a ribbon at the top. The logo in the ring, while being smash themed, shares all of these characteristics.

3 star cluster on bottom: http://i.imgur.com/QSCAXpe.jpg
Minor/Major/World Circuit Emblems: http://i.imgur.com/oWzpteX.jpg

The ring ropes are also identical in both color and configuration as the Major Circuit ring in Punch Out Wii. Similarly, the corners are all identical colors and positions as the Punch Out Wii corners.

Major Circuit ropes, and World Circuit ribbon: http://i.imgur.com/UV4O3mB.png

Also, it's worth noting that the final fight in Punch Out Wii, Mr. Sandman, has a very particular entrance for both his Title Defense and Contender fights. He approaches the ring while there's a green laser light show that goes on behind him. Well, check this out...

Sandman intro: http://i.imgur.com/hvnTGDl.png
Mario in the ring: http://i.imgur.com/Odu2I7I.jpg

Same green laser show.

It would be real silly to think this is not a Punch Out themed stage. There is an abundance of intentional details that suggest otherwise.
That's what I call 100% proof that's little macs ring am I right

The current roster as in alll the characters announced so far? Honestly I'd say Mega Man, seriously, no troll. I've never had any great desire for third parties to be in the game (not that I hate them, I actually think Mega Man looks really good).

This is pretty minor, but what sound do you think it'll make if you select him on the character select screen? And what should his entrance be?

What events would you guys want to see for Mac?

Easy one. Mac and K. Rool in the ring. Or DK. Or both. One after the other, of course. I think BKup would agree.

Edit: Looks like he posted the SAME thing. Well if that don't beat all...

I really hate to do that, especially since I'm pretty sure Mac could and is going to coexist with them all. However, if I could remove one, it would probably be Jiggly, just because I've always felt Jigglypuff is about as deserving as any other random Pokemon. I also always sort of hated it. Sorry folks!

Edit 2: Unless of course, you meant the current SSB4 roster, at which point I would say no one. Unless I had to or I couldn't have Mac. At which point I'd say Wii Fit Trainer, despite thinking that she's an excellent surprise addition. I just needs mah Mac.

Have we covered all the bases in terms of Mac?

Although you already specified it on your super-analysis..

TAUNTS you'd like to see?

Taunt Down> Little Mac doing push-ups.
Taunt Left/Right> Little Mac psyching up like between Knock Outs in Punch Out Wii
Taunt Up> Slams both fists together.

Also an idea:

What if B+Up is Star Punch (Wii Style, where you rack up stars, and use them all at once)
and Usmash is Star Punch (NES Style, where you only use 1 star each time, but you can use this up to 3 times)

Of course, it wouldn't be fair for Mac to have a Smash Attack that only works when he has Stars, so the gimmick here would be that IF he has Stars, it will be twice as powerful (or as powerful as the 1-Star Up+B)

Also, I'd love to see some SUPER Punch Out moves in there. Rapid Punch and Power Punch, as I call them.

Fsmash is EASILY Power Punch.
And Ftilt is almost as easily, Rapid Punch.

Haven't played Super Punch Out Actually.

o.O

You totally should.
It's a pretty good Punch Out experience (2nd best, IMO, 1st one is obviously Wii).

The only differences you should know are:
-No Doc Louis
-Only one round (if you're not done by 3 minutes, you lose)
-No STAR system, instead there's a power gauge that either goes in your favor, or your opponent's. The more you hit, the more this gauge will sway in your favor. When your gauge is full, you gain access to TWO new moves. The Power Punch and the Rapid Punch.
-Little Mac's design.
-Outside Aran Ryan, Bear Hugger, Mr.Sandman, Bald Bull, and Super Macho Man, the rest of the cast is completely new.

Get yourself a copy, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it! Graphics haven't aged at all, I'd say.

I'm probably the only one out of my gourd enough to want the Referee to be an Assist Trophy.

If any two characters start fighting in close range, he rushes in between them and tells them to break it up, shoving everyone back except the character who summoned him. If the person he's pointing at happens to get knocked down, he points his finger at them and starts counting down from 10. They're stunned during this time and they have to mash their buttons to "break free" both before the countdown hits 10 (which results in him screaming "KNOCK-OUT!!" accompanied by an automatic KO, making you fly off the stage with tremendous hitstun) and before your opponents have a chance to wail on you.

Figure this'd work amazing with Mac's fighting style, especially if it gave him time to accumulate stars.

I own Super Punch Out but I could never get into it. I think the radical difference between it and the NES and Wii games put me off. I aught to give it another chance one of the days.

Ah you probably should. Just keep in mind SUPER was meant to be more of an arcade reboot or something, while the NES one was like a new thing With new rules to adapt to the limitations.

Both are inredible in my book. And it's ok to have a preference of one over the other. Before Wii version was released, Super was my favorite. :D

I prefer super punchout to the original punch out in terms of pure gameplay fun. I got for the VC and also on Fight Night Round 2 (it was a bonus game).

It was a joke, I would not take out Mega Man even if you paid me to.

My only Punch Out goal left is to defeat Mr.Dream/Mike Tyson.

//

If I had to remove anyone from the roster for Little Mac to fit in... Well, I must add that I hate cutting characters.. but I'd have to go with Toon Link.

My thing is to dislike on duplicate characters, so.. yeah, that would be it. (Nothing personal against Toon Link for the fact that he's Toon Link, heck if it was backwards, and we had Toon Link, Toon Zelda/Tetra, Toon Ganondorf, and Adult Link... the latter would be the one receiving my hammer of justice.)

//

What sound effects would you like to listen to?

For Mac's Star Punch, I'd like to listen to his NES sound effect, but the rest could easily have the Punch Out Wii ones.

Also, how awesome would it be that depending on how damaged you end the fight, the victory dance will be different?
If you completely dominate your opponent, LM will do the rapid arm movements and then look at the sky.
But if he had a tough time, he would shily look at the audience and wave, right before Doc Louis comes and raises his fist saying "He can always take a whoopin', haha."

Also, one of his taunts should be grabbing his biceps while he fist-pumps. Referencing when Little Mac wins by regular KO (right before the referee announces the victor).

I still have yet to beat Title Defense Bald Bull, Super Macho Man, and Mr. Sandman (and DK), because my game stopped working. I'll have to buy it again sometime.

Dang... Same happened to me, except I couldn't fight King Hippo.

//

Alright... List the boxers that you'd like to see in the game in any shape or form.

PLAYABLE:
Little Mac: Obviously playable.
>Doc Louis appears in LM's intro and victory scenes.
King Hippo: He could be an overweight version of Little Mac, without the Star gimmick, and a manhole cover, and double handed slam instead.

ASSIST TROPHY:
Super Macho Man
Aran Ryan
Bald Bull

BOSS:
Mr.Sandman: (Would be fast AND powerful, but with obvious signs of when he's about to attack)

TROPHIES:
All of the above +
Glass Joe
Piston Hondo
Bear Hugger

STICKER:
Soda Popinski
Narcis Prince
Mr.Dream

PLAYABLE:
Little Mac
>Doc Louis overlooks and commentates from the sidelines, similar to Pokemon Trainer. Can throw chocolate bars at the stage during taunts.
Donkey Kong with a boxing gloves alt

ASSIST TROPHY:
Great Tiger - Does his Mirage Dance move, sends clones out to attack opponents on both sides.
Soda Popinski - Pulls out a bottle to drink. If interrupted, he'll go into a soda-fueled rage, and quickly deliver 6 uppercuts towards whoever is closest.
Not a boxer, but click here to see my idea for the Referee being an Assist Trophy.

BOSS:
Rick/Nick Bruiser - A tandem boss fight. Both dwarf Mac in size and physique, having lightning fast and powerful attacks, but lack range on many of them.

TROPHIES:
All of the above
Glass Joe - complete with mention of his "freak accident" single win against Nick Bruiser.
Bear Hugger (TD) - complete with the bear and squirrel that help him train.
Don Flamenco - complete with an option to toggle on/off his toupe.
Bald Bull/Mask X - can be interchangeable, as both are the same character, or just allude to the latter.
Hoy Quarlow - complete with his cane/beating stick.
Lil' Mac (pink sweatsuit) and Doc Louis (leopard print shirt) - duo trophy.
Mr. Dream (NES Sprite) - mentions he replaced "a certain other champion."

STICKER:
King Hippo - Flinch Resistance
Super Macho Man - Arm Power
Aran Ryan - Grapple/Throw Power
Dragon Chan - Leg Power
Doc Louis - Spawn with a chocolate bar by your feet

What do you guys want to see in the reveal video for Mac?

I wanna see Mario and Bowser fighting in the boxing ring, and suddnsly, when Bowser is preparing a headbutt, we see Mac, Star Punching him out. Bowser gets tangled in the ring ropes as an Aran Ryan reference, and then Mario becomes the ref and calls for a TKO like in the NES game.

I would go about it in a slightly different way. Mario would be about to fight Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong winds up for a punch, but Mario appears take a step back and gesture not to fight. Donkey Kong looks puzzled. Mario strips off his overalls, revealing his referee gear. Little Mac's gloves are revealed, the punch-out ring theme starts playing, and then we get the full shot of Little Mac. We get our Little Mac reveal title: "Little Mac is ready to rumble!"

They dash toward each other, and then we get a bunch of short videos showing of Little Mac's moves against other characters. It shows him collecting stars, only to lose them with a punch from DK in the ring stage. Little Mac gets knocked down in the FMV video as well. Mario starts counting out Little Mac, as he slowly rises. Doc Louis is cheering him on while eating a chocolate bar nervously. He makes it up by 8. He gets one star from DK with a quick sneak punch. DK backs off and goes for a double axe handle hit and Little Mac hits a Star Punch. DK is knocked out and rolls around (like in Punch Outt!! Wii). Mario declares a TKO. Mario raise Little Mac's Hand. The camera pans in on Little Mac, and the music starts to change to the Smash 4 theme. Little Mac punches the screen (like the transitions in the Wii game). The glass breaks and the real Super Smash Bros 4 logo is revealed.

I'm new to the forums, but I wanted to make sure that one of the first things I did was show my support for Little Mac in Smash 4. Punch Out!! Is one of my favorite games of all time, so I would be honored to be a part of the Little Mac Fun Club!

Thank you for the warm welcome! This definitely won't be the last time I post in this thread, as I have been thinking about a moveset for Mac, so I'll surely be sharing it soon!

Always nice to see more Mac supporters. It's sort of funny. Little Mac and Palutena in particular are very popular newcomer choices, as noted by how well they do on the polls, and yet their support is usually more quiet.

Maybe more people seem them as likely so they just kind of don't push too hard for them? I find it funny people think Palutena has it for sure and use 'it is one of Sakurai's franchises so he will favor it' argument. Do they forget how long it took kirby to get more than just kirby in smash? Anyways Little mac seems more likely, but if the boxing ring is his stage then we can apply the same logic to the pilotwings stage so maybe having his stage already semi-revealed is bad for his chances.
