A few from MK8. Ice Ice Outpost and Excitebike so farHave we gotten a single new Mario kart song this game?
When I saw the match with song title showing, it said Excitebike - Mario Kart 8. Pretty sure it's the MK8 version otherwise it wouldn't specifically reference it.Although, are we sure Excitebike Arena is the original version or could it be a remix?
Man I hope that's a remix, DS had some great music.I thought there was some kind of (unconfirmed) Figure-8 Circuit remix?
oofUnclear for now, but it's expected to be Zeta Metroid.
That's good to hear. Mushroom gorge is my favorite track in the series, so seeing it out of nowhere in 4 was great.mushroom gorge confirmed, it's the original like in ssb4
they also included the arcade version, so maybe they didn't feel like they could outdo that one?Wanted to mention this I am honestly and incredibly shocked that not one of the many composers they've brought on board did not care to provide their own spin on the theme of simon, considering how much of an iconic music piece it is for it's respective franchise!
that's probably true, but also not really helpful for this threadI talked to Crunchii, and he stated that many of his returning songs were simply uploaded with the assumption that every song in Smash 4 would be returning.
I figured that was the case when he was uploading songs from Sonic that we had no way of actually proving existed due to a lack of Sonic stages in any demo except that recent press demo.I talked to Crunchii, and he stated that many of his returning songs were simply uploaded with the assumption that every song in Smash 4 would be returning.
I was really excited for a minute until I saw him performing. It's just a Saturday night only song. This video confirms DJ K.K., if that isn't already noted in OP
Are those songs only available during Saturday nights or is it stuff you can select with my music to play on the stage?I was really excited for a minute until I saw him performing. It's just a Saturday night only song.
I think those songs are Saturday night only and not in Sound Test/My MusicAre those songs only available during Saturday nights or is it stuff you can select with my music to play on the stage?
Yep. K.K. only shows up to play on Saturdays 8:00 PM to midnight. The songs he plays are ported versions of his performances in the Animal Crossing games, and there's no way to access those songs otherwise, including through the sound test (at least in Brawl and Smash 4 anyway).I think those songs are Saturday night only and not in Sound Test/My Music

What we really need is a remix of this theme from Mario Bros. 2:Nice finds, but how many variations of SMB2 Overworld do we need?
It's becoming the new Jungle Hijinx insanity.
I mean I know we now have 3 so far but personally I really hope for the SNES SMB2 Overworld song.Nice finds, but how many variations of SMB2 Overworld do we need?

That old video also confirms the original Mario 64 Main Theme and the og Wild Pokemon theme from X and Y.https://www.twitch.tv/videos/334173804

Who's got the game?Well someone has the game now. Incoming a huge wave of songs :o
Hold up, this is huge, is this song a remix or a direct port?
Please be a remix!! It would make perfect sense!
Hot damn! Another golden egg! And for series no less.
I can't even hear the game's sound effects in this video, unfortunately. :/Hold up, this is huge, is this song a remix or a direct port?
The Mario Maker stage had the original ground themes for SMB, SMB3, SMW and NSMBU already, but they were technically one song. Maybe they're treated as separate songs now?Original ground theme from Super Mario World is here. I'm not a fan of all these direct SNES ports, especially when we already have 2 remixes of the Mario World theme, but it is what it is.
The way it works is that they were all available individually both in My Music and the sound test, but Mario Maker also had a track in My Music that lumped them together and switched depending on the stage style. Should be the same here. The Mario Maker stage had the original ground themes for SMB, SMB3, SMW and NSMBU already, but they were technically one song. Maybe they're treated as separate songs now?
I'm pretty sure it's a remix, but to play Devil's Advocate, they did leave Ice Cave Chant and Funky's Fugue untouchedMy most wanted song confirmed at last! I think it's *probably* a remix. But we can't here it. I can't imagine them remixing Snakey Chantey and not Crocodile Cacophony.
